Chapter 1468: Chapter 1466: Strength
Before the formal teacher evaluation begins, a strength test is mandatory.
However, while there is a baseline for the strength test, the specifics of the test vary depending on the examiner.
Applicants who have not yet reached the Mythical Level are directed to a sealed area specifically used for strength testing.
Vinick, assigned by the vice principal, has selected a highly efficient, safe, and straightforward testing thod.
A lump of highly irregular ‘at-shaped crystal’ is peeled away from his palm, approximately the size of a human head. Transparent yet hard like crystal, its overall material properties resemble flesh. Han Dong is seeing such a thing for the first ti.
“This ‘at Crystal’ is an extension of my body, maintaining a certain connection with .
For the upcoming strength test, all you need to do is attack it with your full force. Whether using ntal power, secret arts, or physical attacks, everything is acceptable.
The at Crystal will provide reactive feedback corresponding to the type of attack directed at it.
I will judge whether you qualify for the teacher evaluation based on the intensity of its reaction.
Oh, and considering the difficulty of reaching here via ti travel, I’ll give each of you two attempts.
Form a line and begin testing.”
Han Dong habitually stood near the back of the group. After all, the teacher evaluation would only proceed once everyone had completed their tests.
The Black Goat Sally stood silently beside him, her gaze fixed with interest on the at Crystal.
“Sally… why are you even sticking around for this evaluation? With your status as an Elent, wouldn’t applying directly as a Visiting Scholar be more appropriate?”
“Can’t I just want to test myself for fun?!”
Sally gave Han Dong an indignant glare. The truth behind her staying was very simple—it wasn’t for show or amusent. She rely wanted to stay close to Han Dong and watch how he perford in the teacher test.
“By the way, do you know this ‘Vinick’?”
“Not really… he’s probably not a teaching faculty mber but soone classified as a ‘Specialist’ within the university.
Specialists manage specific tasks like docunt sorting, artifact oversight, or running errands for high-ranking officials.”
“Hmm… quite an unusual Mythic Body.”
…
The strength test had begun.
Anyone courageous enough to apply for a teacher position at this university, as a Demon, either ca recomnded by their major clan or was a confident lone wolf intimately familiar with their abilities.
“These Ancestor Return beings… they truly have so power.”
Within re ten seconds, Han Dong had already transford into a silent observer, eagerly watching the fascinating tests unfold.
One individual with a head densely covered in line-like parasites abruptly revealed the black raincoat shrouding their body.
A total of twelve segnted, bloated worm-like parasites erged from their body, weaving an ancient Magic Array in the air and unleashing a terrifying corrosive secret art.
A potent, reality-influencing corrosive substance was sprayed forth.
“Not bad, next person.”
Imdiately after, a creature resembling an elephant with a long proboscis stepped forward,
with a swollen, corpse-like body,
covered from head to toe in blood-crystal tumor clusters,
emitting an aura of high-purity Blood Descendant energy, completely distinct from those Han Dong had previously encountered.
As the creature extended its arm, it chanted ancient spells aloud.
Its palm blood (splitting into fleshy petals in all directions), revealing several blood-red fleshy spheres the size of glass marbles that adhered to the at Crystal’s surface.
Boom! The instant explosion dyed the entire testing area in a crimson hue. Even Sally, along with all flesh-based entities on-site, experienced an intense blood resonance at that mont.
The at Crystal contracted under the impact, its surface left with noticeable dents.
“Impressive! You’re nearing the threshold of Myth Construction… Let’s hope your academic knowledge matches your strength. Go wait in the rest area. Next person.”
The elephant-like Demon didn’t leave the testing site. Instead, he chose to linger, watching the other Outsiders’ performances, resting off to the side.
However, his blood-gem-like eyes remained fixed for an extended period on one particular participant—[Han Dong].
When he had unleashed his crimson secret art monts earlier, only two flesh-based beings present had remained entirely unaffected:
One was the examiner, and the other was the human-like young man, Han Dong.
The reason Han Dong was unaffected was straightforward: the Count residing within him safeguarded his blood, while the adaptability and shielding chanism of the Black Vortex Trunk nullified any influence from an attack of equivalent blood level.
‘A Descendant of the High Mountains… Truly rare.
Back before you defeated , the beings I despised most were these types.
They are direct descendants of the Blood Ancestor and serve as “Supervisors,” constantly monitoring the activities of various Bloodline clans.
Whenever they visit, you have to offer them the finest Blood Brew while enduring their cold deanor.
If it weren’t for the university’s strict prohibition of fighting, I would have erged right now to teach this guy a lesson.’
Han Dong responded with a pragmatic observation:
‘If you don’t rely on the Holy Blood traits, I’d say you’re evenly matched with him… This guy is just one step short of the Mythic threshold, second only to Elents in power.’
‘Give control of the body, and watch crush him!’
Han Dong imdiately cut off the Count’s ntal transmission, focusing intently back on the highly entertaining strength evaluation.
Several of the subsequent applicants also displayed remarkable levels of power…
However, no matter the thods they employed, the most they achieved was causing intense resonance responses in the at Crystal or leaving notable marks.
Completely destroying it was out of the question.
The fundantal reason was simple: as an extension of Vinick himself, the at Crystal was imbued with Mythic Traits, requiring equivalent strength to damage it.
Soon, it was Han Dong and Sally’s turn, standing at the back of the line.
“Sally, you go first.”
“Fine then~”
Sally, stepping gracefully with her seductive Goat’s Hoof gait, approached the crystal.
Just as she prepared to use her inherited Black Forest Secret Art, the examiner suddenly intervened.
“Sally Aituf? As a distinguished graduate of this university, you are eligible for direct internal recruitnt as a teacher. Are you sure you want to participate as an external applicant?”
“Nevermind then… I was hoping to test the limits of what I can accomplish.
A teacher position would restrict my freedom. This ti, I’m here to apply as a Visiting Scholar for a temporary period.”
“That’s entirely possible. Once this evaluation concludes, I will personally assist you with the paperwork.
Next person!”
Sally kept her gaze fixed on Han Dong as she stepped aside.
Many others present also turned their attention to this human-like youth, who had scaled his way here solely through the basic climbing process and was intimately connected to the Fourth Elent.
“Are we ready?” Han Dong asked.
“You may begin at any ti…”
As the examiner gestured a [please proceed] motion, Han Dong slowly lifted his left arm, revealing the True State of the Arm of the Undead,
Rustle, rustle. Sand flowed between his veins and flesh like water, with several bandages naturally unraveling from his skin.
Thanks to the lingering influence from his previous Borrowing God incident involving the Black Pharaoh, his entire left arm faintly emitted a glossy obsidian hue.
The Demon Eye opened.
Withered fingers ford an effortless pinching motion!
Crack~ Snap! (layered sounds of crystal shattering and flesh contracting)
The at Crystal used for strength testing burst apart mid-air, causing examiner Vinick to wince in visible pain.
