Chapter 1676: Chapter 1674: External Celestial Event

Ten days have passed since the [External Celestial Event].

The human Holy City, located in Italy, is still severely affected by the event.

Currently, a large workforce is being used to repair damaged buildings and streets, fortifying defensive works while also increasing patrols around the city.

The residents of the Holy City, whether from the civilian areas, nobles, the Knight Academy, or even staff from the Knight Regint headquarters, all exhibit varying degrees of terror when they recall this event.

This event directly destroyed about 1/5 of the city area of the Holy City,

and the spreading plant roots severely damaged the underground structures.

Strangely enough, the number of deaths caused by the event is very few, and even those who died were steam engineers... the current statistics show zero actual human casualties.

Currently

Two knights cleaning up the plant remnants in the incident area are chatting.

One of them, a Lionheart Knight, happened to be patrolling that area during the incident, making him a firsthand witness of the event.

"Dunan, you happened to be patrolling here at that ti, right?

Can you tell us what happened... I was investigating outside the city when I received urgent information and rushed back only to find the ’impact’ was over."

Upon hearing this, Dunan pulled out a thick plant root embedded in the ruins with brute force.

"Nold, you have no idea how hopeless I felt at that ti,

The mont I saw such a scene, I thought there was no way I could survive... didn’t expect to be standing here unhard now.

Thinking about it still gives

chills."

"Hurry up, spill it, don’t keep us in suspense."

"At the ti, I had just finished investigating a stronghold of the Iron Mane Brotherhood and was walking back to the street when I suddenly felt a suffocating pressure from above, and the other people on the street felt the sa.

Everyone looked up.

A super-giant teorite covered in green plants was falling straight towards the Holy City.

Its size was definitely larger than the scale of the Holy City and exceeded the normal speed of a teor impact... it emitted a powerful aura as if sothing terrifying resided within the planet.

At the critical mont,

The Great Demon Leader used the ’Land Deed’ to raise a strong defensive barrier.

The Gold Master also used Endless Energy to activate the steam knights’ city defense masterpiece, enveloping the entire Holy City with a Fate tal ’do’.

Dong! The impact sound almost shattered my eardrums.

The Land Deed Barrier was torn open by the collision, and the steam do was breached with a large hole... but the invasion continued.

The teor, like a living entity, continued its invasion through the opened hole, right above my head.

Fortunately, death did not co as expected.

The strange plants invading the street did not attack us but rather grew madly and drilled underground... even if so stones fell, I could easily fend them off."

"That was it?"

"That’s what I thought at the ti too.

Unexpectedly, just as I was about to rescue so residents trapped in the broken buildings... more than ten strong auras descended from the sky, pushing the breath out of

again.

I swear to God, these auras were definitely at the leader level.

I vaguely saw over ten figures descending into the city; at first, I thought they were the masterminds behind the teor impact, trying to invade the Holy City as evil demons, and was ready to fight with all my might.

Who knew, one of them, with a half-transparent head filled with starlight... no, it should be filled with galaxy cosmos, approached .

Any attack I directed at him seed to sink into a space river, unable to hit him; looking into his eyes felt like being exiled to the depths of the universe, it was terrifying.

Just as I thought I was dead,

he did not kill ; instead, he asked if I had seen any demons covered entirely with brain tissue.

After I denied, he imdiately left.

The leaders then arrived one after another, and the situation gradually cald down... As you later learned, these people were not invaders; they were tracking the plant teor that arrived here.

It seed a demon criminal was controlling the plant teor in an attempt to escape."

The knight listening on the side quickly agreed: "Were all dozen pursuers at the leader level? Who was the person being pursued?"

"I don’t know... there might have been more pursuers than I saw.

The only thing I heard is that this matter seems to be related to Knight Nicholas."

...

[Miskatonic University - School Council Hall]

Almost all the deans, school executives, and even the vice-principal in mummy incarnations were present.

"Valen. Associate Professor Nicholas, based on your current testimony and all the information we have collected, the entire outline of the Morgan Betrayal Escape incident is completed.

The relevant docunts have been distributed to everyone; please raise any questions on the spot."

Besides Han Dong, everyone was earnestly leafing through the materials.

A week ago, the traitor Morgan controlled the plant planet to show up at Shattered Mouth No.7,

and under pursuit from various forces, used an ’interstellar jump’ to reach the Milky Way and intentionally crash into Earth’s surface Holy City.

Thus, Morgan completely disappeared.

Held as a ’hostage’, Han Dong, survived this accident.

According to Han Dong’s account,

the plant planet diverted its course and crashed into the human main city in the galaxy because of Han Dong’s secret intervention.

During his ti as a hostage, Han Dong located in the central laboratory secretly decrypted and infiltrated the plant planet’s control system.

Soon a question arose in the conference room.

"According to your description.

How could soone like Morgan spare you... given his character, once trapped in such an extre situation, he would inevitably lose control and kill.

Not to ntion, it was you who caused the plant planet to crash into Earth."

Han Dong answered calmly:

"Two reasons.

1. Because I helped him find the ’Atomic Fungus’ in the Depth of Dinsion, this gained

a great deal of trust. anwhile, this item was a key component for his self-completion.

Morgan had completed the final stage of self-completion in the laboratory, his mind had no defects, he could perfectly control emotional issues.

Also, during his self-completion window, I completed part of the central system invasion.

2. When the matter surfaced, the planet was already hovering above the Earth, only ten seconds before crashing into the Holy City... At that mont, Morgan indeed wanted to kill , but he was unable to do so.

If given half an hour more, maybe he could have killed ."

Han Dong’s explanation contained a hint of ’arrogance’.

But it was this type of arrogant ’interpretation,’ combined with his severely injured state when discovered, that made the explanation more convincing.

As if Han Dong did indeed erupt into a brief battle with Morgan,

due to a tight schedule, Morgan couldn’t kill quickly, thus had to focus on fleeing... and Han Dong survived as a result.

Soon the second and most crucial question ca.

"How did you manage to decipher and invade Morgan’s painstakingly built [Private Planet]?"

Han Dong did not answer directly but instead released the Swollen Doctor.

"This is my assistant, belonging to the ’Migo’ just like Morgan.

I can only say, thanks to him, and at a critical mont,

I successfully connected to the central system and gained partial control during a life-threatening mont.

When Morgan lost contact entirely, I beca the principal operator.

I also plan to contribute so of the technology Morgan left behind to the university, or develop it into a lecture.

If any of you don’t believe it, you can feel free to ask questions now."

"According to your description and understanding of human cities.

Where do you think Morgan would have run off to?"

"If he’s still on Earth, it would definitely be the Holy City,

But no one has discovered his trail so far, either the man has left this plane, or he’s found the escape door sowhere in the city.

If Morris is still alive, we must find him as quickly as possible and destroy him; otherwise, once he finds his opportunity, the countdown to [Fate] will once again be set.

Morgan and Nicholas Knight may well have been colluding; when I caught up to Nicholas, he was already carrying that skeleton-like figure, stepping into the Door of Fate together, leaving this dinsion for destinations unknown."

The ntion of the ’Door of Fate’ left the school authorities in cold sweat.
