208: Chapter 207 The Beginning of Public Opinion 208: Chapter 207 The Beginning of Public Opinion “Is it Su Nian?”

Xiong Kang furrowed his brows with uncertainty, “Logically speaking, this situation shouldn’t arise.

Students infected with the plague are all in the quarantine ward on the fifteenth floor, and not to ntion entering the ward, people can’t even get to the fifteenth floor.”

A gleam flashed in his eyes.

Lu Zixun said in a deep voice, “That ans, Poison Liquid is in this hospital, ready to strike at any mont.”

“That’s the only possibility left.”

With a slight nod, Xiong Kang stroked his chin, “Su Nian must have co to the hospital earlier than us; otherwise, once the Poison Liquid releases the plague, we would definitely be able to sense it.”

Now he had a rough understanding of why Su Nian was infected.

But the purpose of the Poison Liquid targeting Su Nian – whether it unintentionally found soone or deliberately targeted Su Nian – was intriguing.

Feeling that the latter was more likely, Lu Zixun took out his phone and started fiddling with it.

He took out the sanxian bao he had bought for Lu Zixun.

Xiong Kang glanced at Lu Zixun’s phone and noticed he was looking at the news, his brow arching, “What are you looking at?”

Lu Zixun’s expression darkened as he tossed the phone to Xiong Kang.

After picking up the phone and seeing the content of the news report, Xiong Kang’s brows beca tightly knit.

Shocking!

Qingniao University hit by a strange virus, suspected to be carried into campus by a female college student.

The headline was an obvious clickbait, but the content of the news report was an eyesore.

Most worrying was a photo attached, showing Lin Siyin’s face full of concern.

The thing Xiong Kang feared the most had happened.

Returning the phone to Lu Zixun, Xiong Kang took a deep breath, “Don’t worry, I’ll have soone take care of this imdiately.”

After noting the na of Spiritual Pattern Newspaper, Lu Zixun pursed his lips, “It seems this ti, Poison Liquid has co for and Si Yin.”

After recounting the events that happened upon descending the mountain, Lu Zixun also understood the whole story.

Returning to find Qingniao University engulfed in the outbreak of the plague, and simultaneously Lin Siyin’s roommate being affected – and it wasn’t just anyone, but specifically Su Nian, who had visited the Mountain Villa with Lin Siyin.

The dia report, which contained thirty percent truth and seventy percent fiction, was convincing enough, especially for the students of Qingniao University, making it even more persuasive.

Such a layered, elaborate setup – if you said that Tan Ye wasn’t instigating this behind the scenes, Lu Zixun wouldn’t believe it.

After finishing his call, Xiong Kang ca up to Lu Zixun, “I’ve had soone start managing the online public opinion.

We can control it online now, but I’m afraid of what might happen offline…”

He rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on; the speed at which gossip spread was uncontrollable.

“If anyone dares to spread rumors, they’ll have to answer to.”

Lu Zixun said with a grim face.

“I know this situation has upset you trendously.”

Xiong Kang sighed slightly, “But right now, you mustn’t do anything rash.

Such actions won’t solve anything; they’ll only provide opportunists with ammunition to use against you, like…

acting out violently to cover up the truth.”

Lu Zixun took a deep breath, feeling a sense of powerlessness overwhelm him.

He spoke sowhat dejectedly, “So what do we do now?

All of a sudden, I feel like I can’t do anything.”

Xiong Kang noticed the downcast look on Lu Zixun’s face, far from the spirited deanor he had just shown, and a pang of distress flickered in his eyes.

“Don’t worry.”

He raised his hand to ruffle Lu Zixun’s hair, his eyes glinting coldly, “We need to make sure not a single student sent here dies.

Later, not a single person spreading these rumors will be able to escape.”

“Especially the people from Spiritual Pattern Newspaper.”

Pausing for a mont, Xiong Kang continued, “Those who publish such brainless reports, nine tis out of ten, are connected to the Insect Clan.

We’ll follow the trail, find their tracks, and take them all down.”

Hearing this, Lu Zixun felt slightly better.

At that mont, his phone rang, and he imdiately answered.

“Da Ju, we have arrived at the hospital.

Susu has been taken to the fifteenth floor, and we can’t get up there.”

Lin Siyin’s voice ca through the phone, and Lu Zixun rose to head towards the elevator, “Wait for on the first floor, I’ll co to pick you up.”

“Ding.”

The elevator doors opened, and Su Nian, lying on a hospital bed, was wheeled out.

After Lu Zixun glanced at him, he entered the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor.

“Da Ju, over here.”

Lu Zixun saw Lin Siyin signaling to him.

At that mont, seeing Lin Siyin, Lu Zixun felt a pang of guilt.

If it weren’t for him, Lin Siyin wouldn’t have been caught up in this turmoil.

Approaching her, he brushed her arm, “Si Yin, it seems I’ve dragged you into this ss again.”

His voice, small and tinged with self-reproach, imdiately softened Lin Siyin’s heart.

She pulled Lu Zixun into a hug, stroking his fur softly, “It’s okay.

We are one and the sa, your issues are mine, there’s no such thing as causing trouble or not.”

Gui Xiaong, who was listening to Lin Siyin’s words, had a strange look on her face; she seed to want to say sothing, but she kept quiet.

Moved, Lu Zixun nodded firmly, “I’ll take you all up there.

As for the plague, I can handle it.”

Following Lu Zixun to the fifteenth floor, Xiong Kang had already been waiting by the elevator for a while.

“I want to wake up Su Nian and ask her where she got infected.”

Upon seeing Xiong Kang, Lu Zixun spoke imdiately.

“Right, I was thinking the sa thing.”

Xiong Kang nodded in agreent with Lu Zixun’s words.

After he spoke to Wei Tian for a mont, Xiong Kang’s gaze rested on Lu Zixun, “Alright, but we have to wait for the dical staff to arrange Su Nian’s room.”

“Okay.”

Lu Zixun nodded, whispering to Lin Siyin who wore an anxious expression on her face.

Wei Tian returned after a short while, “It’s ready, room 1541.

Dean Ming has arranged for two doctors to observe, saying it might help with vaccine developnt to witness Lord Cat’s treatnt process.”

Xiong Kang had a nagging feeling sothing was off about this explanation, but he couldn’t pinpoint what.

After pondering and frowning, he finally nodded in agreent.

Upon arriving at room 1541, two doctors wearing white face masks stood beside the bed, discussing the plight of the plague in low murmurs.

As Lu Zixun walked in, the doctors quickly moved aside to make space.

Lu Zixun, who felt one of the doctors looked familiar but couldn’t rember where he might have seen them before, didn’t ask any questions.

Summoning Spiritual Fire, he began to burn away the Plague Energy inside Su Nian’s body.
