“Bang!” echoed a sound.
Rong Yan kicked the door open, her left leg numb from exertion, and walked in calmly amid Gu Ming’s astonished expression.
Her kick was so decisive and forceful that it stopped everyone inside in their tracks, their gazes uniformly turning in her direction.
It was Rong Yan’s first clear view of the interior—a room as large as an apartnt, with all sorts of anities.
Billiards, card tables, a bar, and even a karaoke setup were present.
Beyond that, there was an enormous circular leather sofa in the corner for lounging, with a coffee table in front littered with beer bottles askew, along with scattered champagne and wine. Rong Yan even spotted a gun thrown on top so casually, as if it were an everyday item like a lighter.
There were about a dozen people in the room.
Aside from those engrossed in a ga of mahjong, there were several attractive won with fine figures, wearing skimpy clothes, serving drinks and food comfortably seated aside.
Rong Yan scanned the room but didn’t see Qi Yue.
Perhaps her entrance had been too startling; one of the four n playing cards threw down his hand, exhaled a circle of smoke, and said, “Bid of one dot.”
Without care for whether the others wanted his discarded tile, he scrutinized Rong Yan while taking a drag on his cigarette, a glint of interest in his sharp eyes, “It’s been years since I’ve been back, and the chicks in Capital City have gotten feistier. Beauties aren’t for treating like this; you’re just too rough,” the man opposite him said as he drew a tile, his tone as gentle as the boy next door, but his face betrayed no intention of stopping the tease, seemingly enjoying it instead.
His gentle tone made it difficult to associate him with anything malicious.
The other two joined in with a couple more comnts.
The man nad Qin Jun released his hold, his face deflated with disappointnt, and told the other three, “Huh, you guys know how to treat won gently; I might as well give her to you.”
The distressed beauty, no longer concerned with fear, clung to his arm pleadingly, “Mr. Qin, I know I was wrong. I won’t talk nonsense again. Please don’t give away.”
