“Mom, won’t sister be upset if we suddenly follow her and disturb her like this?” Rong Weiwei sat obediently beside Jiang iqi, looking at the taxi not far away, her eyes flickering as she asked.
Upon hearing Rong Yan’s na, a look of disgust flashed across Jiang iqi’s face. She forcefully masked the disdain and said firmly with a tense face, “What’s there for her to be unhappy about? I’m her mother, she’s been back in the country for more than half a year, and she hasn’t visited ho once. On top of that, she had lost three major opportunities: “Return to Ning,” “Three Kingdoms,” and Director Stephen’s new film, and hadn’t managed to secure the big budget tribute film at the Lin City banquet. Her resources were severely depleted, and her popularity had begun to show signs of instability. Worst of all, although the Lin City banquet was a private event with high standards and many of Lin City’s socialites, as well as several top celebrities in attendance, the incident of her being slapped in the face had spread through the grapevine from these people’s mouths.
The fact that Rong Yan was Li Shengxiao’s girlfriend beca known due to his influence. Everyone still had so reservations because of him and only dared to spread it on a small scale in private. But they didn’t show the sa restraint with her; gossip about her being loudly slapped in the face by Rong Yan was flying everywhere in the industry, making her feel like she was being looked at with strange eyes wherever she went.
This kind of feeling was sothing she hadn’t experienced since she had solidified her position in the Rong Family.
