To prevent another awkward situation like the last ti, Jiang Nuan checked upstairs and tidied up every personal item, tossing them into the storage room, afraid that Fu Yi might see them again.
After finishing all that, she simred the chicken soup in the pot, started cooking rice, washed her hands, and headed out, saying to the man casually flipping through a magazine in the living room, "The rice isn’t cooked yet. I’ll deal with the dishes when it’s done. I’ll return the neighbor’s dog first."
She waved to the corgi squatting at Fu Yi’s feet, softly coaxing, "Little Potato, co here, I’ll take you ho."
The dog on the carpet perked up its big pink ears, its eyes shiny like black grapes, looking at her first, then turning its head to stare at Fu Yi, with a hesitant expression as if seeking Fu Yi’s approval.
Seeing this, Jiang Nuan couldn’t help but twitch her mouth, walked over, bent down to pick it up, and patted its dog head, "Please, you’re a little male dog, not a little female dog, show so restraint, okay? You guys can’t be together."
"Woof woof..." The little guy didn’t understand human words, thinking Jiang Nuan was scolding it, pitifully lowering its head, letting out a whimper from its throat.
Seemingly saying it likes soone.
Jiang Nuan stroked its adorable dog head, speaking softly, "Alright, stop whining, I’ll take you ho right away, otherwise your owner will worry about you."
"I’ll head out first, watch the kitchen for , turn down the heat if the pot starts boiling over, so that the water inside doesn’t splash out." She looked up, her lips curved, her snowy white skin visible with fine fuzz under the sunlight, those eyes shiny and wet, utterly adorable!
Fu Yi swallowed, suppressing the montary palpitation, his voice hoarse, "Okay."
Jiang Nuan left, carrying the dog, "Let’s go, back to find your owner."

Jiang Nuan carried it and rang the neighbor’s doorbell across the hall, soon, a maid opened the door, saw her, pulled her inside without any concealnt of her worry.

Jiang Nuan let her grip her arm, placed the dog on the floor, shook her head, and said, "I’m fine, luckily Nuan Tuan peed in my car, so I didn’t go into the mall, instead went to the 4S store across for a car wash, perfectly avoiding it."
The maid let out a breath of relief, patting her chest, looking frightened, "I didn’t know Hos Mall had robbers, sir called, happened to ask about Nuan Tuan, and I rembered you took Nuan Tuan to the mall, turned on the TV, and saw the news."
She bent down to stroke the dog’s head, half amused, half exasperated, saying, "Little guy, you did well today!"
The corgi tilted its head, enjoying the petting, squinting its eyes.
Jiang Nuan straightened up, handed over the dog food bought from the supermarket, "These are the brand it usually eats, let know if it’s not enough, I’ll bring more next ti I go out."
The maid took the dog food, quickly thanked her, told her to wait a while, and soon returned with a pile of things, stuffing them all into Jiang Nuan’s arms.
