Inside Hibiscus Restaurant.

Jiang Nuan arrived late, and under the guidance of the waiter, she pushed open the door of the private room.

"Doctor Jiang, you finally made it."

The director of the neurology departnt at the provincial hospital stood up, enthusiastically pulling her over to introduce her to the people in the room, "This is the international expert we invited over, and this research project on the sympathetic nervous system is primarily based on Doctor Jiang’s report."

Jiang Nuan was wearing a beige sweater, paired with a cal over-the-knee skirt, and patent leather ankle boots. She placed her handbag on the chair and greeted everyone at the table gracefully, "Hello, I’m Jiang Nuan, Jiang as in ginger, Nuan as in warm breeze, pleased to et you all."

This dinner was organized by the director of the neurology departnt at the provincial hospital, and the provincial hospital’s leaders and key staff were all present. Besides the provincial hospital, Kangfei Hospital also sent representatives.

Everyone had already heard that the doctor leading this research on sympathetic nerve and sweat gland excision was very young and had been living abroad. Seeing her in person, they realized she was even younger and more beautiful than they imagined!

No one dislikes a beautiful and capable woman.

The dean and the others got up one after another, warmly shaking her hand, "Hello, hello, we’ve long heard from Director Zhang that Doctor Jiang is young and promising. It’s better to et in person than just hear about you."

Jiang Nuan looked at him, her eyelids thin, her almond-shaped eyes holding a touch of flirtatious smile. She extended her hand and shook the dean’s hand, "You flatter , I probably don’t have much of a reputation in the country."

Implication being, it’s hardly ’better to et in person’ if she’s not even heard of.

How can soone be well-known if they’ve never been heard of?

The dean, who still hoped to take advantage of the beauty, showed a hint of embarrassnt on his face upon hearing this and released his grip with an awkward smile, "Doctor Jiang’s research on sympathetic nerve and sweat gland excision has tackled a longstanding international dical challenge and introduced this procedure into routine operations. Just this achievent alone ans Doctor Jiang will inevitably beco well-known dostically."

Zhang Ke also didn’t want the successor he favored to offend the leadership upon returning ho, so he stepped in between them to diate, "Exactly, Xiao Jiang, the dean is right. Your research project caused a sensation in the dostic dical community upon its publication. Fa is just a matter of ti, the dean and I both have high hopes for your future developnt. Have you decided which hospital you want to stay in upon returning ho this ti?"

Jiang Nuan took off her coat, draped it over the back of the chair, her outstanding appearance drawing involuntary attention to her every move. She furrowed her brows, as if she hadn’t considered this question before, and answered contemplatively, "I haven’t planned to stay in the country for now. This ti I’m only back at the provincial hospital to give a research report. Once that’s done, I’ll probably be heading back out."

Zhang Ke looked at her as she sat down, disappointnt evident in his eyes, "You still prefer to stay abroad?"

Jiang Nuan nodded, candidly saying, "The environnt for doing research abroad is a bit freer; I don’t like being constrained, so I’ll probably stay abroad."

In fact, if it weren’t for her forr teacher’s invitations to co back and report on the routine procedure for sympathetic nerve and sweat gland excision, she might not have returned.

Except for secretly coming back once a year ago due to so research instrunt issues, she hadn’t set foot on this land for five whole years.

When she just got off the plane and heard her familiar native language, she felt a bit out of place.

Returning ho ant she might run into that man, and she didn’t want to have any contact with him again!

"It’s not easy to find such a rare talent in the field of neurology; can you really not stay? It would be great if you could take over my position."
