"Oh, you." Jiang Chenyue didn’t notice her subtle movents, sighed, then suddenly turned to Rong Yan with a concerned expression, "I’ve been so caught up talking. Yan, are you hungry? If you are, I’ll have them bring out so pastries first."
"Qin Jun, that kid, insisted on cooking in person, but we’ve been waiting forever and nothing’s ready yet. He should have let the family’s chef take over."
Despite her complaints, she was beaming as she spoke with Rong Yan, "He said you agreed to co and play, and he’s over the moon with happiness. I didn’t even know he went and bought groceries himself. He studied abroad for a few years. During those years, his uncle and parents were strict with him, freezing all his cards. He had to live on his own, and it was probably then that he learned to cook. Although it’s not as tasty as outside, his ho-cooked dishes are decent. Try it later, and if you like it, I’ll have him cook for you the next ti you co over."
Before Rong Yan could respond, Chu Xi interjected, "I didn’t know my brother lived independently before. n who can cook are so rare these days, my brother must be quite popular."
"Him? I don’t know about him. We never see him bring anyone ho. His temper is too foul; maybe no one likes him, who knows."
"Mom, if you say that about him, my brother will cry if he hears it." Chu Xi joked with a gleaming smile, "Ever since my brother took over KT Entertainnt, many actresses in the circle secretly admired him. My brother is so outstanding, there’s no way no one likes him. You’re being too harsh on him."
"Haha, really? To , he seems to be goofing around all day, even when eting girls for dates. He’s so nonchalant. We’ve picked out several suitable matches for him at ho, and he won’t even et them. I can’t figure out what he has in his mind."
Chu Xi quickly glanced at Rong Yan, leisurely sitting and casually said, "Maybe he likes soone already. I heard he has a good relationship with soone nad Qi Yue from KT Entertainnt, and so say they’re dating."
"Qi Yue?" Jiang Chenyue showed a bewildered look, clearly not familiar with the na.
Ignoring Rong Yan’s rapidly cooling gaze, Chu Xi continued smiling, "Yes. That girl is a newly debuted singer under KT Entertainnt, very down-to-earth. I heard her family conditions weren’t good, and people from her village pooled resources to send her to college. She signed with the company after participating in a talent show and gradually started releasing albums, gaining a group of fans. She’s a very diligent and positive girl. I’ve heard she sends all the money she earns back to her village to help build roads. Apparently, her village isn’t connected to the outside with paved roads yet, and she’s able to benefit her hotown after becoming successful, showing she’s soone of good character. I rember she knows Miss Rong. The talent show I ntioned was the one Miss Rong also participated in; they looked after each other then, so Miss Rong should know the girl better than I do."
Though she seed to be praising Qi Yue, for being grateful and hardworking, there was only one core ssage—poor!
Qi Yue’s family conditions were far from eting the standards of the Chu Family, certainly not soone they deed suitable for Qin Jun!
