Back at the Dihor Garden, Rong Yan took a shower, dried her hair, and ca out of the bathroom to find a steaming bowl of ginger water in the living room.
The tall man had already changed into ho clothes, the deep coffee-colored striped cotton pajamas looking comfortable and elegant on him. Seeing Rong Yan coming out, he waved, “Co over and drink so ginger water, so you don’t catch a cold.”
“I just had chicken soup, this is too much,” she complained, but her steps didn’t stop as she obediently walked over, picked up the bowl, and wrinkled her brow from the spicy ginger scent. She closed her eyes and drank it quickly.
“Oh, it’s spicy,” Rong Yan finished in one go, quickly putting the bowl down.
Suddenly, a candy appeared in front of her. Rong Yan lifted her gaze, her lips curled up unconsciously, as she accepted it, peeled off the wrapper, and popped it into her mouth.
The sweet strawberry flavor spread in her mouth, sweetness reaching her heart.
Li Shengxiao took out a hair dryer from the side and beckoned her to sit beside him. His long, beautiful fingers lifted her damp hair, adjusted the dryer to a warm setting, and carefully began to blow her hair.
The warm air gently blew across her hair, and even when it occasionally touched her neck, it was soothing and made her feel sleepy.
Rong Yan sat cross-legged on the sofa, propping her chin, her head nodding as she yawned and said, “Little Baby is still not awake, I’ll sleep in his room tonight so that when he wakes up and doesn’t see , he won’t cry again.”

“Hmm?” Rong Yan was almost asleep, her eyelids heavy, she yawned again, propping her chin, lazily replying, “Just t them today, can’t say if I like them or not.”
Li Shengxiao glanced at her, his eyes deep, “Then why did you keep Chen Hai?”
Rong Yan opened her eyes, her snowy skin and dark eyes incredibly beautiful, and she spoke without any excess emotion, “Ye Qi is very much like Duidui in the past, and the Ye Family reminds of my forr self. I just happen to know how to help Ye Qi’s illness, so I’m lending a hand. As for Chen Hai, in the end, he risked his life to help , and I promised him that if he turns himself in afterwards, it won’t affect at all.”
What she said made sense, as if helping Ye Qi didn’t bring any personal emotion, just a simple act.
Li Shengxiao knew she wasn’t as cold-blooded as she claid. If it was as she said, she could’ve completely ignored Ye Qi’s feelings and handed Chen Hai over to the police. Her failure to do so showed she indeed had so fondness for the Ye Family.
The harshness in his eyes gradually softened, “I was just asking casually. If you want to sleep, lean on for a while, I’ll call you when your hair is dry.”
“Hmm.” Rong Yan’s shoulders relaxed, she covered her mouth with her hand, yawned again, and leaned her head slightly on his shoulder, like a koala turning her head and closing her eyes.
