"Miss Chu?" Ai Wen looked surprised at the person who appeared at the company. His face quickly lit up with a smile as he stepped forward to greet her, "What brings you here? You should have let know beforehand; I would have sent soone down to et you."
"Mr. Ai." Chu Xi gracefully and elegantly shook his hand, offering a friendly smile before suddenly lifting her gaze toward Rong Yan’s direction. "It’s been a while."
Ai Wen sighed sentintally, "It has indeed been a while. I rember the last ti I saw you was at the Oscars award ceremony in ma. I didn’t even get the chance to congratulate you."
"Thank you."
"Ai Wen actually knows this superstar?" Wang Ying, standing next to Rong Yan, was extrely excited, clearly not expecting Chu Xi, who currently dominates the dostic scene, to appear at their company. She turned back to Rong Yan and said, "Mr. Rong, why don’t we go over and greet her as well?"
Rong Yan glanced at the woman whose side-eye briefly landed on her and smirked coldly in her heart before readily agreeing, "Sure."
When rivals et, never lose ground.
She followed Wang Ying, stepping confidently in her high heels.
Today, Rong Yan wore a ruffled lotus-pink blouse paired with a white fishtail skirt. Her long hair was casually tied up, and her light makeup perfectly accentuated her bright eyes and radiant smile. Her fair and delicate jawline was slightly raised, giving her face an austere yet relaxed appearance, the corners of her lips faintly curved into a smile. Elegant yet formal.
Chu Xi watched her approach with poised steps, her eyes narrowing faintly, a flash of coldness in her gaze.
Lately, her clothing and makeup style had been subtly leaning toward Rong Yan’s, but when they finally faced each other, she couldn’t shake a suffocating sense of being overshadowed.
Ai Wen, noticing the three approaching, took on the role of diator and introduced the two sides. "Ah, Miss Chu, let introduce you. This is our company’s Vice President, Wang Ying."
Wang Ying smiled and extended her hand. "Miss Chu, I’ve heard so much about you. I’m a big fan of yours. I’ve watched your movies before; your acting is absolutely breathtaking. I can still recall them vividly. It’s a real pleasure eting you."
Chu Xi extended her hand and shook Wang Ying’s politely. "Likewise, it’s lovely to et you, Ms. Wang."
After the two exchanged friendly handshakes and a few pleasantries, Ai Wen seized the mont to introduce Rong Yan, who was standing next to him. "This is the owner of Bright Starry Sky, Rong Yan, Mr. Rong, who will be collaborating with our company."
Ai Wen had a favorable impression of Rong Yan, so he added a few complints as a courtesy to Chu Xi. "If we calculate it, Mr. Rong is also soone from the entertainnt industry. I don’t know if Miss Chu is familiar with the dostic entertainnt circle, but Mr. Rong has also made a na for himself as an artist. He’s involved in variety shows, acting, and singing, achieving remarkable success in every field."
"What’s even more impressive is that Mr. Rong, at such a young age, has ventured into the business world as well. His vision and discernnt far surpass his peers, and his boldness in taking action has made even an old hand like feel genuinely inferior."
Chu Xi t Rong Yan’s gaze, her expression difficult to read, but her lips curved upward, seemingly friendly. "Oh, really?"
Her eyes grazed over Rong Yan’s face, her emotions inscrutable, before she followed Ai Wen’s lead. "Mr. Rong truly is admirable."
Ai Wen laughed heartily and said, "Miss Chu is equally impressive—achieving the Oscar-winning Actress title at such a young age and bringing pride to the Chinese community. Becoming the first widely recognized and celebrated Chinese star in ma, your achievents are undeniably extraordinary. And you’re still so young—the future is boundless for you..."
Chu Xi chuckled softly and replied, "How could I compare to Miss Rong? She’s young, beautiful, and has an enviable boyfriend by her side supporting her."
