Chu Xi looked at the man at the door with a smirk that wasn’t quite a smile. Her heart chilled, and she stood stiffly in place, opening her mouth to say, “Mr. Qin, please listen to my explanation.”
“I’m all ears, go ahead and explain. I’m really curious to hear how you’re going to explain this. I co back and you’ve moved into Chu Garden, and sohow you’ve beco my ‘sister’.”
“I never told Mada that I was the eldest daughter, and I don’t know why, but Mada asked to move into Chu Garden. I couldn’t possibly defy Mada’s orders. If Mr. Qin doesn’t like it, I’ll talk to Mada and move out.”
Qin Jun looked at her with an even more profound gaze, impossible to guess what he was thinking, “Forget it. If Aunt wants you to move in, and then I kick you out, she’ll think I’m bullying you.”
Chu Xi let out a sigh of relief.
As long as she isn’t thrown out, that’s good!

Chu Xi looked at him blankly, not knowing what he ant.
“What did you say?”
Qin Jun adjusted his stance, looking down at her from on high as if observing an ant courting death, disdainfully saying, “I’ve warned you not to play tricks. If you insist on courting death, that’s your business—I can’t be bothered with you. But make sure you understand this, stay well-behaved here, and if I find out you’ve caused trouble, I won’t let you off.”

“Don’t be so quick to assure .” Qin Jun leaned over to lift her chin, his deanor flippantly saying, “It doesn’t matter if you cause trouble, it would only hasten your more miserable demise~ Sis~”
Those last two words were breathed gently into Chu Xi’s ear, not conveying even a hint of intimacy but sending a chill starting from the soles of her feet, a coldness reaching all the way to her spine. Her heart seed to freeze, her neck caught in a vice, unable to breathe. Her body stiffened, and she didn’t dare to move or even realize when the person had left.
Chu Xi bit her pale lips, steadied her steps, and walked weakly over to the sofa to sit for a while before quickly returning to her room. She rummaged through the phone book, found a number in the corner that she had never called before, and dialed it.
As soon as the call connected, she urgently blurted out.
“Hello, where are you!”
“Xixi.” The excitent in the woman’s voice on the other end of the phone was extre; her voice almost deford, “Xixi, is that you?”

Ten thousand yuan a month shows how expensive the insurance must be, and it’s probably among the best that ordinary folks could have access to.
She’s working odd jobs in the back kitchen, yet she bought such an insurance policy—it’s unlikely anyone would believe it if she told them!
“You don’t need to worry about ; I’m not short on money. Just make sure you live your life well without bothering !”
