With Cui Jiangjing around, Rong Yan didn’t feel lonely at all during the al.
Cui Jiangjing was responsible for cracking jokes and livening up the atmosphere, while Fu Yi was responsible for subtly reining him in when he got too carried away.
In the middle of the al, Rong Yan went out for so fresh air.
She happened to run into Fu Yi, who had also co out.
"Miss Rong." This man was tall, with a much more serious deanor than Cui Jiangjing, and his thin lips seed to always carry a slight curve, making him appear easy-going. Unlike Cui Jiangjing’s playfulness, Rong Yan could see that his pupils rarely held warmth; they only softened slightly when he was with a few friends. Most of the ti, his interactions with strangers involved a slight smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
Rong Yan didn’t expect him to initiate a greeting, but she greeted him back, "Isn’t Mr. Fu going inside?"
Fu Yi looked at her intently before finally speaking, "I will."
"..."
If you will, then go inside. Why stand at the door?
Fu Yi withdrew his gaze, hands in his pockets, and leaned lazily against the doorway, his light brown eyes seeming to hide many stories beneath a calm facade.
"I heard Miss Rong terminated her contract with KT Entertainnt?"
She had just terminated the contract today, and he already knew.
Rong Yan didn’t know what he ant but relaxed and readily admitted, "Yes, I terminated it."
Fu Yi looked at her gently, "The current president of KT Entertainnt is from the Chu Family. Cui Jiangjing, that blabbermouth, must have ntioned the Chu Family to you."
"He ntioned it." Rong Yan didn’t hide anything.
After all, he was Li Shengxiao’s friend, and Cui Jiangjing was also his good brother. She had no suspicions about Fu Yi suddenly striking up a conversation with her.
If Fu Yi were that kind of person, he wouldn’t have been able to be friends with Li Shengxiao for over a decade.
She doesn’t trust Fu Yi; she just trusts soone’s judgnt!
"He has a fiancée from the Chu Family, probably the Chu Xi I t before."
Fu Yi didn’t expect her to guess even Chu Xi. He raised his eyebrows; the light hitting his face made him unexpectedly handso. He pushed his gold-rimd glasses up his nose and his thin lips lightly touched. "Shengxiao has never acknowledged this engagent. This engagent was arranged by the Lin Family and the Chu Family a long ti ago, and it sohow fell upon him. He has ignored it all these years because his nominal fiancée has never bothered him, and secondly, he has been focusing all his energy on his work, never considering a romantic relationship. So he also didn’t bother dealing with the so-called engagent."
"..." Did he unexpectedly start talking about love?
Fu Yi continued while looking at her, "However, now this issue has surfaced and must be resolved in front of you two. He is a devoted person; since he has chosen you, he will not let go because of external reasons. You don’t have to worry that he would break up with you over the engagent."
"I know."
She was never worried.
Throughout, Rong Yan remained relaxed and assured, trusting soone wholeheartedly. Fu Yi didn’t know why, but he felt as though he was seeing soone else in her, who used to look at him in the sa way.
He was absent-minded for a few seconds until Rong Yan called for him; he then awkwardly snapped back to reality, concealing the montary tension in his eyes. He spoke more hurriedly, "Since Shengxiao and Mrs. Lin are sure about you, and since Cui Jiangjing and I are his friends, we definitely stand by your and his side. If you need help, just let us know. I’ll help you find a suitable entertainnt company; although it might not be like when you were with KT Entertainnt, at least it can secure your career!"
