Chapter 1210: Chapter 1210: Mom, What Are You Doing Here?
Rong Yan stopped in her tracks, turned around, and looked sowhat astonished; it took her a mont to realize soone was speaking to her.
Chenyue found herself behaving strangely today; not only did she feel a fondness for the little boy who appeared out of nowhere, but she also unexpectedly didn’t mind the girl who approached her. She even wanted to explain her unusual aloofness so the girl wouldn’t get the wrong impression.
“I’m waiting for a child; he told to wait for him here.”
Chenyue paused, her voice tired but graceful, “Thank you.”
Rong Yan knew the thanks was for her earlier kindness and smiled slightly, “No need to thank ; I wasn’t much help.”
“Is the child you ntioned nearby? Does he know you’re feeling unwell? Maybe you can tell what he’s wearing, and I can help you look for him; I have to find soone anyway.” Her eyes were large and clear, seemingly naturally smiling, which made people involuntarily feel a warm liking towards her.
Chenyue hesitated, then carefully spoke, “No trouble necessary. The child I ntioned is a little boy, not my child, just a little boy I encountered.”
A little boy?
Rong Yan felt an inexplicable sensation in her heart, akin to her own Little Baby.
She was still amused by her sudden odd feeling when suddenly she heard her beloved son’s voice from behind.
“Mom?!”
Rong Yan turned around and saw a little boy with a flushed face holding a bottle of water – if it wasn’t the Little Baby she was looking for, then who was it?
“Duidui, how did you end up here?”
The handso little boy looked just as surprised. His large, grape-like eyes seed as if they could speak, “I saw that the pretty auntie seed unwell and was alone, so I went nearby to buy her a bottle of water to take her dicine. Mom, how did you end up here?”
Rong Yan then noticed the mineral water he held in his embrace, touched his head approvingly, and smiled, “I ca out and found you were gone, so I went around looking for you. I also saw the pretty auntie you ntioned alone here, looking unwell, so I ca over to ask. It turns out the auntie was waiting for a little boy – my Duidui. Good job, sweetheart!”
She gave the little guy a thumbs-up, generously lavishing praise on him, “My son is really fantastic, mommy is proud of you.”
Li Duidui blushed even more, unable to hide his excitent and happiness but still trying to maintain a composed deanor; he turned his eyes away, not daring to look at Rong Yan, and walked over to Chenyue, handing her the water, “Pretty auntie, here.”
“This can help you take your dicine; after taking it, you won’t feel unwell.”
Chenyue hadn’t expected the two to be mother and son, mainly because Rong Yan was dressed so youthfully, wearing a hat, bare-faced, looking more like an eighteen or nineteen-year-old girl rather than the mother of a five-year-old. Surprised, and then seeing the little boy who inexplicably softened her heart, walking over to her, handing her the mineral water, urging her to take her dicine quickly, her heart was filled with an unprecedented tender warmth, softening her expression as she slowly reached out to take the water from the little boy, her voice choked, “Thank you, little friend.”
