Chapter 1157: Chapter 1158: Lin Teng is Here Too
An hour later, the driver’s call ca through.
Rong Yan gathered her belongings, handed off her work to others, and waved goodbye as she left first.
“Miss Rong,” the driver greeted her as she erged, swiftly opening the rear door of the car for her while respectfully apologizing, “There was a slight traffic jam on the way, so you’ve been waiting a while.”
Rong Yan bent down to get into the car, “I just finished as well; I wasn’t waiting, it’s fine.”
“That’s good.”
The driver closed the door for her and walked around to the driver’s seat.
The black BMW smoothly made its way towards Dihor Garden.
As night fell and the lights of Capital City shone brightly, Rong Yan was just about to take out her phone to let Little Baby know she was on her way ho when she received a call from an unknown number.
After hesitating for a second, she answered the call.
“Hello?”
Five minutes later, she said to the driver in front, “Master, could you please take us to a different place? We’re not going back just yet.”

The black BMW stopped outside Lin Mansion.
Rong Yan asked the driver to wait outside for her for a while as she entered the premises.
This wasn’t her first ti here; having visited before, she confidently made her way to the shooting range where she had once t the old man.
Indeed, the shooting range was as bright as daylight, where an elderly man in military attire held a small handgun with one hand, firing three shots in rapid succession at the target, all hitting the very center of the bullseye.
The security personnel following him saw Rong Yan approaching and quickly walked up to whisper in the old man’s ear.
Before long, the old man turned around, his sharp eagle-like gaze locking onto Rong Yan. He took off the anti-slip glove from his left hand, walked back to the entrance, and with a slight lift of his eyebrows in a naturally commanding manner, he said, “Miss Rong, we et again.”
Rong Yan, who had received his call while in the car, replied with a smile that was neither servile nor overbearing, “Good day, Old General Lin.”
Lin Teng was also at the shooting range, changing his clothes. As he ca out of the dressing room, he caught sight of Rong Yan and his eyelids twitched violently. He hurried over and asked, “Dad, why did you call Rong Yan over?”
Lin Wei cast a stern glance at him; the displeasure was evident on his robust face, “Have you t her before?”
Knowing exactly what sort of person his son was, the fact that Lin Teng casually referred to Rong Yan by her na, instead of ‘Miss Rong’ like he did, indicated that not only had Lin Teng t her before, but he had also acknowledged her.
Lin Teng, feeling a bit embarrassed, bowed his head and rubbed his nose, explaining to his father in a low voice, “I’ve t her twice.”
Lin Wei’s displeasure grew, “I’ve only t her once, and you’ve t her twice since you’ve been back.”
Though he said this, his gaze towards Rong Yan remained sharp, scrutinizing and assessing, “Miss Rong, I received the gift you sent last ti, it must’ve been costly.”
The Cloud Mist Mountain Old Tea was his favorite tea, but it was hard to purchase due to its limited production.
Rong Yan had sent him a box.
Rong Yan smiled with just the right asure of respect and humility, avoiding ntion of the price, “I’m glad you liked it, Sir. I wasn’t sure what to get you previously, but then Mrs. Lin ntioned your fondness for tea, so I asked a friend to buy a box for you. The gift wasn’t expensive; it was simply a token of my appreciation.”

A flash of pain crossed the old man’s eyes, imdiately followed by a stern expression as he turned and walked inside, “Co with . As it happens, the tea caddy is here; I can have soone brew us so.”
He led the way, while Lin Teng gave Rong Yan a reassuring look from behind, signaling her to follow and reminding her, “Dad, you’ve got the tea here now? Perfect, I’m feeling thirsty. Let grab a cup of tea here before I leave.”
