Chapter 1084: Chapter 1084: No Need to Rush So Much Next Ti
“You’re downstairs?” Rong Yan looked down from the window and imdiately saw his eye-catching black Lincoln parked by the side of the road.
She withdrew her gaze and said quickly, “Wait for , I’ll be right down.”
After hanging up the phone, she dashed down in the elevator and ran straight to the Lincoln outside the company. Breathless upon reaching it, the car window imdiately rolled down, and the man in the driver’s seat, dressed in a sharp suit, looking distinguished and stylish, said to her, “Get in.”
Rong Yan opened the car door and got in. She hadn’t even had the chance to fasten her seatbelt when she said anxiously, “Why did you co over? Don’t you have plans this afternoon?”
Li Shengxiao started the car, his noble face profound and three-dinsional, his hawk-like eyes deep as a secluded well, tempting one to explore, “I will go back to the company in the afternoon. Gu Ming is there; you don’t have to worry.”
“It’s not that I’m worried,” she retorted, “but is it really okay for you to skip work? You never used to co late or leave early, let alone skip out before you’re done with work…”
The car moved smoothly forward, stopping at a traffic light.
The man behind the wheel turned his head, leaned over to fasten her seatbelt for her, gently touched her hair, and said, “Don’t run so fast next ti. I’m not going anywhere.”
Rong Yan’s earlobe was lightly brushed by his fingertip, and he pushed her hair back behind her ear. Her heart raced, that electrifying sensation sweeping over her again, causing her heart to flutter with excitent.
He forcefully suppressed the impulse throbbing in his chest and increased the distance from the little woman close at hand, saying, “It was you who sent a ssage saying you wanted to eat hot and sour glass noodles.”
Rong Yan, not noticing the montary tightening of his gaze, blinked and looked at the man’s determined chin, “Didn’t you say we would go eat in the evening?”
If she rembered correctly, the text ssage he sent was about going out in the evening.
The light turned green, and Li Shengxiao pressed the accelerator, his thin lips curving slightly, “Apart from that, you sent another ssage.”
“What ssage? I’ve sent you so many— which one are you talking about…” Rong Yan suddenly rembered sothing, her eyes lighting up with laughter, “You’re not talking about the ssage where I said I missed you, are you?”
“Are you joking?”
This man is just so adorable.
With a smile, Rong Yan spoke cheerfully, “Of course not. How could I possibly joke about that? I really missed you just now in the office. Just for an instant, I don’t know why, I felt like sending you a ssage~ But if I’d known it would disturb you, I wouldn’t have sent it.”
She really hadn’t expected Li Shengxiao to co and see her in the middle of the day because of the ssage she had sent. If she had known, she wouldn’t have sent it. The thing was, she had never been in a serious relationship before and didn’t know why she had suddenly beco so irrational.
The tires screeched—a harsh sound—and the Lincoln ca to a stop at the side of the road.
The sudden jolt nearly threw Rong Yan out of her seat, but fortunately, Li Shengxiao had just fastened her seatbelt. Otherwise, that sudden braking might have broken her nose.
