(Arata)

My thought process was interrupted by the ringing of my doorbell. Zaylen and Stella must be here. Quickly I closed my phone and put a forced smile on my face before rushing to the door and opening it.

Zaylen and Stella burst inside with their ever-green smiles.

"Arataaa." Stella enthusiastically hugged , holding onto a box of chocolates.

I tightly hugged my best friend back, it felt good, like a relief.

Zaylen was next, holding take-out boxes.

"How are you sis?" He asked, his bright eyes shone with love for .

"Good and happy, now that both of you are here." It was the truth, I had missed them and with that stalker just sending that ominous text, I was actually thrilled they had arrived.

"You sent Alpha Blue to pick us up." Zaylen’s eyes were about to bulge out of his sockets in excitent and I knew he was barely holding on.

I had to stifle a giggle. "Yes, Mr Karsten lent it to for your trip. I told him it’s your dream car."

"Dope, we are having a full discussion later and I will personally thank him tomorrow." Zaylen eagerly squeezed my shoulders before moving further inside.

Caysir brought their luggage while they settled on the lounger.

"Thank you, Caysir. Stay for dinner." I offered.

He waved his hands.

"No, no, Miss Arata. Your brother already bought dinner. I will eat in my apartnt, let know if you need anything," he respectfully said.

"I will." After closing the door, I rushed to Zaylen and Stella.

"So, ramp walk. I am so excited to see you on the stage." Stella grabbed my hands and almost danced on the lounger with excitent.

"Yeah! Let’s pray I don’t trip and make a fool of myself."

"You will be perfect. I have no doubt." Zaylen pointed both his index fingers at and winked.

"Thanks! How is everyone back ho? Baba, Mom, Grandma, Aunt Huria and Uncle Rais?" I asked.

"Amazing as always. Everyone sent their love, gifts and food for you," Stella chuckled, making my heart warm. I loved my family and the way they always took care of .

"Great. Why don’t both of you freshen up, and I will serve dinner," I proposed.

Both of them agreed and went to their respective rooms.

Sighing, I got up and began to arrange the table.

My mind drifted to the text but I just put it off for now. I wasn’t going to sour my mood because of so idiot.

I took out the fish from the air fryer and it was ready. Serving it with the fast food Zaylen had brought, I sat down and waited.

Stella and Zaylen returned, looking fresh. Both of them had changed into their night attires.

Zaylen raised his head in the air and took a deep whiff.

"Fish slls nice. Did you make it?"

"Yeah!" I answered, pointing to the chairs so both of them could sit.

"Aww, my sister has begun to cook. How cute," Zaylen deliberately teased, knowing I never used to cook much.

"Living alone teaches you a lot. You should try it too." I nudged him with my elbow.

"Nah! He is always going to be living with Uncle and Aunt," Stella chirruped, picking up a fry and tossing it into her mouth.

"Haha! You are so funny, Stel. I live in University Dorm and only get to see my family on weekends." Zaylen huffed, narrowing his eyes at her.

"Such a sad life for poor Zayn." Stella leaned forward and grabbed his nose, pulling it.

"Stop! Stel, don’t make it long, I still have to find a girl."

"Cut it out, both of you. Let’s eat," I reprimanded, shaking my head at them. When were they going to grow up?

"Fine, fine."

I plated so fries and two slices of Hawaiian cheese Pizza.

Zaylen and Stella both took a piece of spicy fish and the tamarind sauce I had prepared.

"Delicious, your cooking skills are becoming better," Zaylen said between mouthfuls. His dark hair decorated his forehead.

"Thanks. So tomorrow, I will be heading to the office early because I have rehearsals and other important tasks to attend to with Mr Karsten. You guys have your passes so arrive on ti. And please don’t burn my apartnt down in my absence," I explained while biting into the cheesy goodness of the pizza.

"I will keep him in check." Stella winked and Zaylen just rolled his eyes at her.

After dinner, both of them helped clean while we chatted.

We made so hibiscus tea and enjoyed it with Grandma’s cookies.

The aroma of tea and sweet sweet taste of the cookies was a killer combo. It reminded of ho. We relaxed against the lounger and they told family jokes.

"Dad kept losing his glasses, so Mom bought him one with a GPS; now he just wanders around the house, saying I swear I am not lost, but my glasses are in the fridge?" Stella’s parents were hilarious, I loved hearing their stories.

"Both of them are epic," I laughed aloud.

We shared more mories. mories of our past.

"Rember that ti, Stella lost her favourite shoe in the river while we were on vacation? She cried for hours." Zaylen reminisced, making both of us smile.

"And you brought cotton candy and hand-picked flowers. That made finally smile," Stella added with a tiny smile; her eyes had glazed over, and I knew she was living that mory again.

"You were making everyone’s eardrums bleed. I had to do sothing."

Zaylen shrugged his shoulders while placing his cup down.

Stella took the cushion from her lap and hurled it at him. He caught it easily and snickered.

My heart ward seeing them both like this.

Stretching his arms, Zaylen took a small yawn and got up.

"I will see you girls in the morning. Sleepy now. Good night." He waved at us and left for the guest room.

"Good night, little brother."

Once the door to the guest room had closed, Stella’s attention turned towards with a hint of mischief. Sooo, tell everything related to Azul. Did you get to see him again?"

Oh! Stella, there was so much I needed to tell her. I knew we would be gossiping all night.

"Well, here is how it went...."
