(Arata)

He tried again to bang my head against the wall and this ti, I slightly tilted my body to save myself. His other hand grabbed the back of my gown, and I heard a tearing sound.

No, fucking, no.

The thick fabric tore from my shoulder, exposing it and the upper part of my breast. A little more and my whole breast would have spilled out.

This was it.

’Asshole! This gown was special, my boss had it specially designed and created just for ,’ I thought to myself.

My temper rose to the surface temperature of planet Venus.

My enraged eyes found him and the fucker was smirking as if he had climbed Mount Everest.

I wanted to wipe that smug smile off his hideous face. He had ssed with the wrong girl.

Fisting my hand, I aid and landed a punch right at his temple. I wished to use more force but the confined space had my movents restricted.

But it did the trick; his hold loosened a bit, and I was able to set myself free; turning, I put the full force into my punch and aid it at his temple again with my other hand.

He had assud I only fought with right but I could equally fight with both my hands.

This punch connected well and he stumbled, crumbling on the elevator floor like a heap of sand. His eyes were still open but I could guess he was seeing stars in front of them.

Ignoring the throbbing in my head and the scratching of his nails on my shoulder because right now I was living on pure adrenaline, I grabbed the front of his uniform.

Bringing my annoyed face right closer to his, I demanded in a shrill voice.

"Password, you dimwit." The blood was now caking under his nostrils and on his chin and his eyes struggled to remain open.

He tried to grab but I kicked right between his balls with my heels, keeping the pointed part exactly where it would hurt the worst.

He brayed like a donkey, doubling over with pain. The panic had begun to set in my heart, and I wasn’t sure how long I could keep this up before a full-blown panic attack would hit .

"Fucking.... bit...ch," he squealed in agony as I straightened up and applied pressure, trying to demolish his balls.

"It’s...s...4...1..." and then his eyes rolled, and he fainted.

Noooo, noooo.

Frustratedly, I kicked him in his gut and balls several tis, but he was a heap now.

Frantically, turning to the broken glass control, I tried to punch in the two numbers he had given , but they weren’t enough. The elevator refused to budge, and I was now trapped, who knew where with an assaulter.

I tried the ergency button but to no avail; it didn’t go off. With my heart going abnormally fast, I grabbed the ergency phone but there was no dial tone on it.

I inspected every part of this steel death trap to see if there was an ergency exit.

There wasn’t.

What kind of the fucking elevator was this?

It seed like the fucker had planned everything, and I wasn’t going to be getting out of this damned thing any ti soon.

Grabbing my hair, I yelled out loudly hoping soone would hear . There was supposed to be a cara in this tin of claustrophobia but my frantic eyes could see none.

Panicking, I was panicking with every second. The sweat had begun to make my hands slippery and my legs were going cold. I tried to forcefully push open the elevator door in my stupidity, plunging my nails in the small crack but only ended up breaking two and howling in pain.

Karsten, the thought of him ca rushing to and I tried to keep my head level and not spiral in this state.

"Hellooooo!" Can soone hear ?" I shouted and banged at the thick steel door of the elevator.

The energy seed to be leaving my body turning it into jelly. The oxygen seed to have beco lessened in this confined space, and I took large gulps in, but still, my lungs wouldn’t fill up.

My fists ached from all the banging on the steel door.

"Karstennnn! Help!" I shouted as loudly as I could.

Hoping, wishing, soone could hear . I knew he was in a eting and mustn’t even know I was trapped in this rectangular steel coffin.

I turned my head to look at the asshole who had brought here.

Could he be the stalker?

Was he going to kill ?

Take sowhere to keep hostage?

Demand ransom from my parents?

So many questions bombarded my brain that I felt myself shaking uncontrollably.

My legs gave way and I stumbled to the cold floor of this damned elevator.

The full-blown panic attack set in and I couldn’t breathe, no matter how much I tried to fill my lungs.

Clutching the front part of my dress I tried to do the breathing exercises I had been taught if I was ever struck in such a situation.

But right now, nothing worked.

No, please, don’t let die here.

Worried faces of my family flashed in front of my eyes and I knew I had to be strong.

"Babaaa!" I called out in panic and the tears finally fell from my eyes.

I tried to stop and be brave, but all I felt was weakness and dangling on the precipice of passing out.

I clutched my throat, trying desperately to breathe through. I rubbed my chest but it was all in vain.

"Help! Please! Karsten...." I frantically called out again, but my voice ca out extrely weak, and my eyelids began to shut.

I tried to stay awake, though the darkness seed so inviting now; at least I wouldn’t have to fight for oxygen.

And then I heard the whirring sounds as if the door was being opened. I made one final attempt to keep my eyes open and saw him before the darkness took over.

"Kar...sten?" My voice ca out feeble.

Or did I imagine him?

Was he here?

Or was I hallucinating?

Was I imagining those hulking but soothing arms cradling and lifting ?

His soothing whiskey scent to overpower ?

’Arata, I got you, you are safe....’ Were these words uttered, or was I barely dreaming in the afterworld?

I had no definite answer as I was plunged into the valley of darkness.
