While staring at the new blueprint he got, Daki suddenly showed up from behind.

An excited gasp left her mouth as she uttered, "Is Master about to summon another weapon?"

Rashin looked at her. "I guess so."

"Amazing! Who would have thought I’d have to defend my rank so soon? I feel so excited."

"Rank? What are you talking about?"

"Oh?" Daki moved back a bit. "Pardon my rudeness, I got carried away there."

She raised a finger. "We weapon maidens have ranks that we must obtain in order to serve you better."

Rashin tilted his head to the side. "What are... ranks?"

"Well, as far as I know, the ranks go as follows: Queen rank, which is the highest, and then there’s Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Pawn."

’My soul-rank weapons have their own internalized ranking system?’ Rashin thought to himself.

"So if you have another maiden, then I have to secure my position as the Queen. I can’t afford to let soone else take that position from ."

Rashin could not fully grasp why the rank was so important to Daki, but seeing as she was motivated, he could not flat-out ignore it.

"I see. Alright then."

He clicked on the blueprint.

[Fla Sword.]

[Would you like to forge this weapon?]

(Yes/No)

Adding another weapon to his collection would an he’d grow stronger. It was a win-win.

"Yes," he responded.

[Gathering resources needed to forge the Fla Sword.]

[Resources needed have been gathered.]

[Forging is now in progress.]

Rashin took a second to move his face from the template and check up on Daki. To his surprise, she was still staring at him with an excited look.

Dismissing it, he faced the template once more.

[Congratulations, you have a new weapon.]

[The Fla Sword.]

Appearing in his hand was a red-glowing sword. It was long and sturdy, twice as sharp as any weapon he had wielded.

The body of the blade had flas dancing around it, and the sheath was so comfortable it was hard to tell whether or not he was holding a blade.

"So this is my new weapon. Fla Blade. It’s quite a good sword," said Rashin while inspecting the blade.

"I don’t think it will live up to your expectations, Master. I can already tell." Daki stared at the blade as if looking at a low-ranking artifact.

Of course, Rashin didn’t care. He was still going to upgrade the blade regardless.

Currently having six soul stones, he could easily upgrade the sword to a Gold Soul rank.

Rashin calmly moved himself towards the throne where the Skeleton King had once sat.

Taking the skeleton’s place, Rashin sat on the throne, eyes focused on the system.

"Upgrade Fla Sword," he said to the system.

[Upgrading Fla Sword to Bronze Soul rank: 2 soul stones.]

[Fla Sword has been upgraded to Bronze Soul rank.

You have four stones left.]

Another notification appeared.

[Fla Sword has now evolved into a Soul Maiden.]

[You may now summon your second maiden.]

Rashin stared at the template.

’Her upgrade seems to be cheaper than Daki’s. I can do it in one go.’

"Upgrade."

[Upgrading Fla Sword to Silver Soul rank: 2 soul stones.]

[Fla Sword has been upgraded to Silver Soul rank.]

"Upgrade."

[Fla Sword has been upgraded to Gold Soul rank.]

[Fla Sword has evolved into Fla Maiden.]

[Fla Sword now has the following skills:

Pyro.

Instant Teleportation.

Healing Flas.]

Rashin was now satisfied.

Even as he sat on the throne, he could already feel his body getting stronger just from having a new soul-ranked weapon.

"Summon," he said with deep authority.

Following his order, a bright light shone in front of Rashin, the strange light forming into a human body.

Replacing the light now stood a beautiful woman.

She was dressed in a black top with a black short skirt. On one arm, she was sleeveless, while on the other, she had armor clinging to her skin—truly a warrior’s outfit.

Her red, fiery hair was packed to the front, calmly resting against her breasts. And finally, hanging behind her back was a red-glowing blade.

She was none other than Rashin’s second Soul Maiden, the Fla Blade.

Opening her eyes, the first thing she saw was the handso man who would later be her master, sitting on the skeleton throne.

A small smile ford on her lips.

"It’s an honor to et you, Master," she said with joy.

Rashin replied, "Welco to your rightful place..."

[Bestow upon your maiden a na.]

Rashin took a second to read the red-haired woman.

"Estella... Hm, your na shall be Satella."

Satella smiled yet again. "I am grateful that you have gifted with such a na. I will forever cherish it."

Rashin was about to say sothing when he noticed the dangerous look on Daki’s face as she clenched her fist.

Baam!

It was unexpected.

The mont Daki’s fist connected with Satella’s face, Satella went flying and crashed to the ground.

Rashin imdiately jerked up. "Oi! What was that for?"

"Forgive , Master. I shall take any punishnt you give later on. But for now, my position as your Queen is at risk," Daki said with a serious face. "Who would have thought she would end up... impressive."

"Uhn? I don’t care about the stupid rank. Ah, you ladies are all the sa." Rashin sat back down on the throne.

Figured it was best not to get involved with whatever traditions his Soul Maidens practiced.

’Co to think of it... how on earth do they even know about such a tradition?’

"Oh? Attacking while I was speaking to my Master has to be the most ssed up thing you could ever do."

Satella stood up from the ground, fire burning her from head to toe before quenching itself.

The little bruises she had sustained suddenly healed up from the flas.

"What can I say? If I didn’t attack you when I did, you were planning to do the sa," Daki said with a grin.

"Oh... most definitely." Satella pulled out her blade. "Now then... it’s about ti I took over... as the Queen."
