Upon seeing Su Jiu, Lu Qing said calmly, "You’ve arrived."
Su Jiu waved a hand, not staying long, "Think carefully about what I said."
Lu Qing escorted Su Jiu out of the ward.
Su Jiu waved, "Take good care of her."
Qin Miaomiao lay on the hospital bed, carefully pondering Mr. Jiu’s intentions.
Mr. Jiu specifically ntioned the assassin organization, which shows he fears it greatly. She had been with Mr. Jiu for a long ti and had never seen him so cautious.
The assassin organization has a new leader...
Lu Qing returned to the ward, and Qin Miaomiao explained Su Jiu’s intentions, asking, "Do you think the people who kidnapped Da Bao are connected to the assassin organization?"
Lu Qing said, "I think there’s sothing really strange about all this."
Previously, the kidnapper called him, claiming to be Director Chen’s son, ruthlessly taking action out of personal grudge. But during that call, the kidnapper hadn’t used a voice changer. Later, the kidnapper’s style dramatically changed, and a voice changer was used.
Qin Miaomiao said, "I’ve been thinking, how much money would the kidnappers have spent pulling off such a stunt?"
Every location was equipped with high-end cara gear, wireless transmission devices, and digital caras.
All of it costs money!
Lu Qing smiled, "Our thoughts align. I also feel there’s soone backing the kidnapper. But is this person soone who supported him from the very start or soone who saw his potential and decided to assist him midway?"
Qin Miaomiao said, "You also think the kidnapping of Da Bao is connected to the assassin organization?"
Lu Qing shook his head, "We can’t be sure yet. But if they fail once, they’ll try again. Miao Miao, I’m considering sending Da Bao to be under Mr. Jiu’s guidance."
Being around Mr. Jiu is both the most dangerous and the safest place.
Qin Miaomiao was not actually willing to let Da Bao go to Mr. Jiu so early. Even if Da Bao is passed to Mr. Jiu, he is still her child, precious to her heart.
Lu Qing was silent.
He is the child’s father and shares the sa feelings as the mother. It’s hard to let go.
But... parting is better than a final farewell.
That night, the doctor checked Qin Miaomiao’s health, confird she was healthy, and suggested she be discharged.
After being discharged, Qin Miaomiao headed straight to the nursery.
Her three children, each weighing heavily on her mind, made her take on the role of mother. But with so many troubles lately, she had almost forgotten to care properly for her children.
Da Bao was also brought back and lay side by side with the other two children.
The nursery was warmly lit, and the children’s skin seed glazed with a sheen.
Qin Miaomiao squatted by the crib, staring intently at the three children.
Lu Qing leaned against the doorway, silently watching Qin Miaomiao and their children.
The sorrow of parting was prolonged in the silence.
Qin Miaomiao covered her mouth, sobbing quietly.
Lu Qing sighed inwardly, bent down, and embraced Qin Miaomiao’s shoulders, sitting down on the floor beside her.
A wind chi hanging on the crib lightly tinkled from the movent caused by Lu Qing.
Lu Qing said, "I once read a very emotional line in a book: The relationship between parents and children ultimately leads to separation. Look at those little animals, they are chased out into the world by their parents when they grow up. We humans are no different."
"In our children’s lives, we are rely companions. We accompany them through the happiest, most joyous tis. And then, we watch them leave to find partners for life, have their own children. We old folks are finally forgotten."
Lu Qing added sharply.
"So, no matter how reluctant you are now, when the children grow up, they’ll have their wives and forget about their mother. You should focus your life on instead."
