Qin Miaomiao looked at the person who ca and said, "Not leaving yet?"

"I’m just about to leave. Aren’t you leaving, President Qin?"

Qin Miaomiao pointed at a pile of novels and said, "I’ll go back after I finish reading. You can clock out."

The assistant looked over Qin Miaomiao, nodded.

Turning to see the city enveloped by the night, her feelings were sowhat mixed. After so serious consideration, she decided to call Lin Xiaoxiao, and it’d be best if Lin could spare so ti to et up.

Doing a quick count, Qin Miaomiao hadn’t shown up for several days. Although Old Sir Lu had opinions about her, whenever she’s absent for a few days, he’s always curious about what Qin Miaomiao was busy with. Inside, though sowhat uncertain if she was sulking, thinking too much about certain things actually made one more vexed.

"Sir, it’s alti."

As the nanny’s voice ca through, Old Sir Lu really started to feel hungry.

"Sir, you didn’t eat much for breakfast. You should have more at lunch, so Mr. Lu doesn’t worry."

"That child just likes to worry."

Old Sir Lu knew the nanny was talking about Lu Qing. Only Lu Qing would constantly worry about his health. Although Lu Xing was also a fine child, since he wasn’t raised with them, many things weren’t easy to discuss. So, looking at the four dishes and one soup, he nodded and said, "Sit down and join for the al."

"Yes, sir."

When people age, they start to think about everything and anything, and if things get complicated, they give rise to many untily thoughts. Even emotions can fluctuate, but to Old Sir Lu, nothing was more gratifying than having a ho filled with children and grandchildren, enjoying their company.

"Bring the children to the old house this weekend. The three kids have grown quite a bit lately."

Lu Qing responded one by one, internally confirming the weekend visit to the old house, then promptly contacted Qin Miaomiao: "Grandpa wants us to bring the three kids over this weekend."

"Grandpa must miss them a lot," Qin Miaomiao said.

"If you don’t need to work overti, try not to; I don’t want you to be too exhausted."

Lu Qing knew she got ho late last night and hurried to the office early in the morning without saying much to Qin Miaomiao. So communication could only happen via phone.

Qin Miaomiao planned for the eting to wrap up within two days as she’s currently polishing the script and needs to prepare in advance. Recently, with Xu Jiaojiao just on a break and Hua Tiantian’s scenes nearly completed, she arranged for both of them to join the etings at the company.

"Today’s eting agenda is the polishing of the new script. I hope everyone can stay sharp, as we’ll be extrely busy in the coming months. The company’s two artists have also joined us in the eting room today, so everyone please take a seat."

Hua Tiantian sat next to Xu Jiaojiao. She rarely attended such etings so wasn’t very clear about many matters, whispering privately to Xu Jiaojiao.

"Just follow President Qin’s lead, don’t worry."

With that, Qin Miaomiao began the first and most important item on the eting agenda.

The eting ran until four-thirty in the afternoon, and by the end, everyone’s spirits were rather low. Quickly, they perked up with interest at the afternoon tea, their moods slightly uplifted.

"There’s jasmine honey tea, lemon black tea, and coffee."

The assistant said while placing everything on the eting table. Qin Miaomiao’s gaze scattered, her deanor becoming sowhat dazed. After pondering for a mont, she finally pulled Hua Tiantian out of the eting room.
