"Be good and obedient? Mo Wenwan, what do you want from so you’ll give the photos?"
Huang Shan’s gaze grew sharper as she spoke. She rushed over, glaring at Mo Wenwan, her expression faltering. Finally, she stared at the other person and said, "What did I do to offend you? Why are you doing this to ?"
"That’s sothing you need to ask yourself. Even if I give you the photos, I still have the negatives. Do you think you can truly take them all back?"
Mo Wenwan spoke with obvious smugness, her expression gradually becoming unfocused as she stared intently into Huang Shan’s eyes. She then said, "Huang Shan, just obey without resistance. I won’t treat you unfairly."
"You’re trying to rope in?"
Huang Shan finally sensed the off-putting atmosphere. Watching Mo Wenwan’s smile, sothing felt fundantally wrong. After scrutinizing her closely, a sense of unease began to well up, alongside a flood of strange thoughts—about her future, her career in acting.
"Since you’ve got under your thumb, just lay it all out today. Spare from feeling restless and on edge."
"You’re really impatient. With this attitude, how do you expect to survive in the entertainnt industry? Being unable to stay composed is a cardinal sin."
Mo Wenwan’s words struck a chord deep in Huang Shan’s heart. She held back her anger out of fear of provoking Mo Wenwan, knowing that one misstep could ruin everything she had worked so hard for.
"What do you want to do? Na your terms."
Mo Wenwan realized Huang Shan was relenting. Her tone softened slightly as she turned and fixed her gaze on Huang Shan. Suddenly, her deanor shifted. "Now that you’re asking outright what I want you to do, I really can’t think of anything. Let’s do this: go back for now. I’ll let you know when sothing cos to mind."
Huang Shan was utterly shell-shocked. This ti, she truly felt like a fish on the chopping block, with Mo Wenwan holding the blade. The thought of being constantly controlled, fearing exposure at any mont, left her in utter turmoil.
"Mo Wenwan, y-you’re ruthless!"
"Ruthless? I wouldn’t say I’m the most ruthless. Compared to you, I’m nothing."
Mo Wenwan spoke with growing disdain, her gaze filled with scorn. In her mind, she thought: So you want to challenge ? Do you even know your own weight? This ti, you’re unlucky to fall into my hands.
"Alright, since Mr. Mo has spoken, I trust that he’s not soone who goes back on his word. But I need you to give a guarantee—sothing to ensure no news about these photos cos out in the anti."
Mo Wenwan narrowed her eyes as she sized up Huang Shan. Clearly, her logic and reasoning were well thought out; it seed she had prepared herself before coming here. Walking over to Huang Shan, she patted her on the shoulder and said, "You’re not a fool. If you just obey properly, I can give you that guarantee."
Huang Shan felt the weight of her hand on her shoulder, but her heart was filled with helplessness. She wanted nothing more than to shove Mo Wenwan’s hand off, but she couldn’t. The thought of those incriminating photos still in Mo Wenwan’s possession chilled her to the bone.
Her thoughts began to spiral out of control, wandering to the relationship between Li Li and Qin Miaomiao. There was a strange, murky feeling to it, like trying to peer through fog. She couldn’t help but let her imagination run wild: "If Qin Miaomiao is pregnant, could the child possibly be Li Li’s?"
Jealousy started to gnaw at her, even though she and Qin Miaomiao had never interacted directly. She just couldn’t stop fixating on Qin Miaomiao, and this fixation churned restlessness within her.
"A man like Li Li is so rare you couldn’t find one even if you were searching with a lantern. Qin Miaomiao really is lucky."
Mo Wenwan’s jealousy surged uncontrollably, her thoughts racing over whether she could probe from others to uncover the truth.
