"Enough already! Before, you just said you wanted my help, but now you..."
"It’s not a big deal. Besides, this way it’s better for the baby in the future."
Watching him speak so seriously, Qin Miaomiao gave him a playful shove:
"Sweet-talker, do you think I don’t know what you’re up to? You’re just taking advantage of !"
"This is called serving my wife. How is that taking advantage?"
Knowing she couldn’t win the argunt with him, Qin Miaomiao gave him another shove, got out of bed, and took off her old pajamas to change into another pair of cotton sleepwear.
Her belly looked very round, and when she lowered her head, she sighed; her stomach was stretched so big that her figure was basically ruined.
It would take a lot of effort to recover in the future.
"Where’s Joanna?"
"Why are you asking about her?"
At the ntion of Joanna, Lu Qing’s expression darkened.
"No matter what, she’s a guest. I look like this and can’t properly host her. I can’t ignore her, can I?"
"Xiao Chen is keeping her company."
"Xiao Chen? He’s with her?"
Outside, Joanna was galloping on a horse, while Ou Beichen leaned against the side, not sparing her a glance, focused instead on playing with a Rubik’s Cube. His fingers moved swiftly, solving it with ease.
After several laps on the horse, Joanna dismounted and, noticing his Rubik’s Cube skills, beca intrigued and walked over.
"Not bad."
Ou Beichen looked up at her briefly, then lowered his head again, acting as if no one else was there.
Joanna found this even more interesting. She took a few steps forward, reaching out to tilt his chin with her hand, but his body retreated several steps, and a faint trace of murderous intent appeared in his eyes.
He despised being touched by others, except for Qin Miaomiao.
"Oh, Xiao Chen, we know each other pretty well, don’t we? Are you really going to disrespect like this?"
Ou Beichen turned to leave, but a sudden sharp move ca from behind. In a flash, he spun back, lifted his leg, and nearly kicked her.
Thankfully, Joanna dodged in ti, though her face darkened. "Are you actually serious?"
"Stay away from ."
"Such a personality—I like it."
Ou Beichen didn’t even glance back, turning and walking away imdiately. Joanna, a woman who delighted in playfulness, wasn’t genuinely interested in him. She was just used to being a boss, naturally rebellious by nature.
Her desire to conquer was strong, especially after seeing Ou Beichen’s well-behaved deanor in front of Qin Miaomiao.
"Hey, are you really planning to ignore ?"
Ou Beichen coldly responded: "You’re noisy."
"Tch, kid, how old are you? How old do you think I am? And you dare to talk to your elder sister like this?"
"I only have one older sister."
"Oh, I see it now—you’re a little obsessed with your sister, huh?"
Ou Beichen’s eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze at her full of hostility!
"Watch your mouth."
Joanna raised an eyebrow. "What, are you going to hit ? Oh, wait, you already did. What, are you planning to kill now?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, he suddenly drew a gun, pointing it directly at her head.
His swift and decisive movents betrayed his combat training. Joanna laughed aloud:
"So, your hands are already bloodied, huh? What an interesting kid."
Ou Beichen smirked faintly. "Don’t treat like a kid."
"Alright, alright, you’re ow ow ow’s younger brother. I truly didn’t an to upset you. I actually have so inside information—want to hear it?"
