The next day, around eleven o’clock, they finally got up. The night before, Lu Qing had been extrely enthusiastic and overly excited, so both of them ended up going to bed very late.

Downstairs, Mr. Su was drinking soybean milk. He prepared a bowl for Qin Miaomiao as well. Upon seeing Lu Qing had returned, his eyebrow arched slightly.

"Is everything resolved?"

"Resolved."

He had spoken with Mr. Su earlier, so he knew about Xiao Chen getting shot and injured. Both decided to keep it a secret from Qin Miaomiao.

"That’s good. Little Jin’er, co over and drink your soybean milk."

Qin Miaomiao furrowed her brows. She inherently disliked the taste of soybean milk, though in recent days she hadn’t bothered giving it a try.

This ti, as it was brought over, she sniffed it tentatively—and surprisingly enough, she didn’t find it offensive!

She even took several sips and didn’t feel like vomiting. Amazingly, she finished the entire bowl!

Little Seventh, standing nearby, nearly burst into tears of joy. After watching the Young Madam vomit day after day, finally—finally—she wasn’t throwing up.

Qin Miaomiao herself was puzzled. Could it be that her morning sickness was finally subsiding?

She grabbed a nearby at bun, took one bite, and bolted into the kitchen where she threw up violently. Clearly, that was not the case!

Upon seeing her vomit so badly, Lu Qing’s face darkened.

"What’s going on?"

"Young Madam’s morning sickness is too severe. She throws up before most foods even have a chance to go down."

"Has it been like this these past few days?"

"Yes."

"What about foods she likes?"

"It’s even worse when she eats those."

Even Mr. Su’s face carried a worried expression:

"If this goes on, Little Jin’er’s body won’t be able to handle it. The doctor hasn’t provided any solutions either. We must figure out a way to get her to eat."

Qin Miaomiao walked back out with a pained expression. This kind of vomiting would be unbearable for anyone, let alone a pregnant woman like her.

"Little Seventh, bring another bowl of soybean milk."

"Got it."

She managed to drink this second bowl as well. As Qin Miaomiao drank, an idea seed to dawn on her:

"Little Seventh, make so stir-fried pork liver later."

Little Seventh asked curiously, "Young Madam, isn’t pork liver the food you hate most?"

"Indeed, it is. But I also hate soybean milk—and yet I managed to drink it! I have a feeling."

"What kind of feeling?"

Qin Miaomiao took a deep breath and said slowly:

"The little rascal in my belly might actually like the foods I dislike."

Everyone: .....

Could there really be such a peculiar and extraordinary preference?

Sure enough, Little Seventh made a plate of pork liver. Qin Miaomiao reached for the chopsticks while Lu Qing and Mr. Su watched with serious expressions—as if they were conducting so highly significant scientific experint, treating it with utmost importance.

Qin Miaomiao extended her chopsticks, picked up a slice of pork liver, and placed it in her mouth. She took a gentle bite.

The taste—it was still the sa taste she disliked. Her taste buds didn’t enjoy it one bit. However, she was astonished that her stomach didn’t reject it!

She swallowed it down, and her stomach’s first response was calm—no urge to vomit at all.

Gathering her courage, she continued eating two or three more pieces, and sure enough, she didn’t feel repulsed.

Little Seventh rejoiced, "Young Madam, it seems pork liver works. Should we try other dishes you dislike?"

Lu Qing and Mr. Su also appeared quite pleased.

Lu Qing: "Celery, she doesn’t like celery."

Mr. Su: "Wood ear mushrooms, she doesn’t like those either."

Lu Qing: "And radishes and peanuts."

Mr. Su: "Broccoli."

Hearing the list of vegetables she disliked, Qin Miaomiao’s head was spinning, her face filled with dismay:

"Don’t do this to ! I already feel miserable enough. How can you be so heartless as to make eat all the things I hate?"

"We can."
