"Miss Qin, what were you doing between 8 to 10 PM the night before last?"
Qin Miaomiao’s expression turned cold: "My apologies, I’m only here to find my husband. Without my lawyer present, I won’t answer anyone’s questions."
"Miss Qin, your husband is involved in a murder case. Your testimony is crucial."
"Since it’s crucial, I can’t speak recklessly. What if you’re setting a trap for ?"
"If Mr. Lu is innocent, then what you say might help him."
"I don’t trust you. I’ll provide my testimony only when my lawyer arrives. Otherwise, this conversation is over."
Qin Miaomiao’s firm stance left Officer Li at a loss. She was an exceptionally smart woman.
Half an hour later, her lawyer arrived—the renowned top-tier Lawyer Wang. As soon as he entered the interrogation room, he spoke to her in a low voice:

Officer Li, however, wasn’t about to let this go so easily.

Lu Qing smirked faintly and said in a calm tone:
"Officer Li, even if I were out of my mind, I wouldn’t use a knife sared with my fingerprints to commit murder. Moreover, a couple of hundred million ans nothing to . Also, if I were to kill him, the motive would likely involve the film footage. Yet, as far as I know, you’ve already recovered the footage from his temporary residence."
He paused briefly and continued:
"The person trying to fra left so many flaws behind. Given your years of investigative experience, this matter should be easy to resolve."
His explanation was logical, and they had also presented evidence.
"But the evidence you’ve provided doesn’t account for your whereabouts from 9 to 10 PM. No one can corroborate it."
"I’ve already said, I was at a hotel."
"Which hotel? What were you doing there?"
"eting soone, at Chunri Hotel."
"That hotel is very close to the alley where Director Zhao was killed. Did you go to et him there?"
"No, I’ve already provided evidence—video footage of my presence at the hotel."
The evidence he submitted, coupled with his statents, presented no clear flaws and essentially cleared him of suspicion. At least for now, there was no direct evidence implicating him as the murderer.
His visit was rely to cooperate with the investigation, not to surrender himself.
Furthermore, he had brought his lawyer along, leaving the authorities with no grounds to detain him.
Officer Li had no choice but to let him go.
As Lu Qing held Qin Miaomiao’s hand and walked out of the police station, dia reporters sward toward them, only to be blocked by Little Sixth, Little Seventh, and Lawyer Han Shu.

The lawyer responded on his behalf:

"I solemnly declare, I did not commit murder. I have no connection to this case whatsoever."
Having said that, he took Qin Miaomiao’s hand and left.
