As soon as she spoke, her tone was filled with tension, almost aggressive.
"Picking up sothing? And then going to take care of him again?"
"Yes, so what!"
Lu Qing’s expression darkened, his entire deanor growing cold and oppressive:
He stood up, naked, not bothering to cover himself. His wet body unhurried, he walked directly toward her.
She turned to leave, but he grabbed her and shoved her against the cold wall.
"What did you just say?"
"You let another woman hold onto your arm, what right do you have to question ?"
"You’re taking care of another man."
"I owe him that!"
Lu Qing’s brows furrowed deeper:
"Owe? I can compensate him in any way necessary! Why must you involve yourself? You know exactly what he wants from you. For three days, you’ve stayed with him—where does that leave ?"
Qin Miaomiao bit her lower lip and said:
"I called you, but you didn’t answer. I sent you ssages, but you didn’t reply."
Lu Qing sneered:
"So, you’re deliberately trying to provoke ? Planning to continue taking care of him?"
"You’re the one who angered first."
Lu Qing’s face was icy and unsightly: "If you think all this is just a petty fight, then do as you please. Take care of whoever you want. Just don’t co back. Get out."
After finishing his words, he turned and walked away, putting on his clothes with a cold attitude.
His back was turned to her, as though he wanted to push her out of his world.
Though he seed so close, he actually felt worlds away.
Qin Miaomiao panicked and quickly ran after him, embracing him tightly.
"You can’t leave, and you can’t stay angry."
"Let go."
"No! I don’t like you using such a cold tone with —it makes feel terrible."
Lu Qing turned around and stared at her, speaking each word with emphasis:
"Qin Miaomiao, know where my boundaries lie. If you cross them, there won’t be anything to talk about."
"He saved ."
"So what? You’re my wife, yet you spent three days in the hospital taking care of another man without coming ho. What am I supposed to think?"
This was the most heated argunt they’d had until now!
It was also the angriest Lu Qing had ever been. Qin Miaomiao fell silent for a mont before finally saying:
"I’m sorry. I was wrong. I won’t go to the hospital again. Whatever compensation needs to be made, I’ll pay Rong Lan back fully."
Only then did Lu Qing turn around and look at her, his voice calm:
"Regarding this matter, I can express our gratitude on your behalf. I am your husband, and you are my wife. We are one! If there’s a need to repay kindness, I can handle it—it doesn’t need to involve you personally. Do you understand?"
"I was wrong."
Lu Qing’s expression softened slightly, but only slightly.
"Are you still angry?"
"Hm."
"I already apologized."
"You think an apology is enough? You didn’t co ho for three days, and you were taking care of another man!"
"But you also let another woman hold onto your arm."
Lu Qing let out a mocking laugh:
"It was an act. Otherwise, how would you have co back?"
Qin Miaomiao still felt indignant: "Even if it was an act, you still let her hold onto you—that’s a fact."
"Even now?"
"OK."
Qin Miaomiao hugged him from behind and said softly:
"Honey, let’s consider this incident a one-ti exception, alright? From now on, you’re not allowed to deliberately anger , and I promise not to do anything like this again. I’ll try not to create such obligations, and even if I do, I’ll let you handle paying them back. Is that okay?"
