When Qin Miaomiao arrived at the set, Xu Jiaojiao was still sitting on the sidelines, receiving the cold shoulder. She had been an extra for so many years, so she was used to being treated unfairly.
But Qin Miaomiao couldn’t accept it. That was her company’s artist, and also her friend. How could she stand by and let her be humiliated?
She went straight to the director. The director, upon seeing her, couldn’t help but feel sowhat apprehensive. "Director, our collaboration has been clearly discussed. If there’s any issue, you can address it directly."
The director, however, responded with a strong attitude:
"I believe Xu Jiaojiao’s acting skills are diocre, so adjustnts to her scenes are necessary."
"The terms in the contract are crystal clear. Her role is the female lead."
The director sneered coldly: "Contract? It seems you don’t understand the rules of this world. Many tis, contracts don’t decide things. In other words, the amount of screen ti depends on . Even if the scenes are shot as per the script, I can edit her down to the second female lead later. And what can you do about it?"
Qin Miaomiao’s eyes darkened with coldness. Clearly, he had decided to tear up the agreent and wasn’t treating their prior deal seriously at all.
"Fine. If that’s the case, then let’s terminate the agreent."
The director looked at her as if she were an idiot: "Miss Qin, we signed a contract. If you terminate it now, you’ll face a hefty penalty fee."
Qin Miaomiao gave him a sideways glance, her eyes carrying an even sharper chill:
"Are you threatening ?"
"I’m rely reminding you that right now, the power is not in your hands. Xu Jiaojiao can only obediently shoot the scenes as I dictate. No termination of the contract. Whatever screen ti I give her, that’s what she gets. There’s no negotiating!"
"So, you’re saying there’s no discussion to be had?"
"Exactly. President Qin is a sharp individual, so I’ll be straightforward—soone powerful is targeting Xu Jiaojiao. The forces behind them are quite significant. She’s just an actress, so President Qin might as well cut her losses and protect herself."
At this mont, Qin Miaomiao seed calr than ever. She glanced at his ugly expression and replied in a composed voice:

After saying that, she turned and walked away!
Nearby, Jiaojiao and her assistant looked utterly stunned, as if they couldn’t believe this approach was even possible.
Miao Miao was simply too cool!
The director’s expression imdiately changed. While securing a major sponsorship was important, getting embroiled in legal disputes was certainly not in his best interests.
"President Qin, please wait. I think we need to discuss this further."
Qin Miaomiao, however, cast him a sideways glance and let out a mocking laugh:
"Discuss? No need. I’ll let my lawyers have a good discussion with you. Jiaojiao, let’s go."
