The two walked hand in hand, evoking... a CP vibe?!
No, that’s not right. They don’t seem like a couple—instead, they look more like good buddies. But clearly, President Qin is a woman.
The reporters, eager for answers, quickly began asking questions:
"Mr. Lu, may I ask why you chose Miss Qin as your companion this ti?"
Lu Qing, who rarely answers reporters’ questions, unexpectedly responded this ti.
"Actually, I should say that I’m her companion. She brought here."
Those words carried an undeniable hint of ambiguity!
"Mr. Lu, apart from collaborating on a few projects with Miss Qin, do you have a close personal relationship?"
"Could you share your relationship with Miss Mo Wenwan?"
Lu Qing stopped responding and directly grabbed Qin Miaomiao’s hand, leading her inside without giving the reporters any more chances.
Compared to his usual attitude toward reporters, this was already considered an improvent. At least they managed to snap a few photos—unlike before, where his bodyguards would delete all of them. He seed much more accommodating now.
As soon as they entered the venue, Mo Wenwan spotted the two.
Lu Qing—the man she had set her sights on—would inevitably be the center of attention no matter where he was!
And the woman beside him, Qin Miaomiao... her gaze instantly turned icy cold.
With Mr. Jiu and Lu Qing protecting her, Mo Wenwan knew she’d need to tread carefully; otherwise, she could easily end up in a bad situation.
With that thought, she forced a slight smile, greeted the people in front of her, and then approached Lu Qing and Qin Miaomiao.
"You finally made it! Miaomiao, I was afraid you’d still be upset about the last incident and wouldn’t co."
"Why would I? Since you sent an invitation, of course I had to co and see."
"Brother Qing, thank you for gracing us with your presence."
She still called Lu Qing ’Brother Qing,’ clearly intended to highlight their forr intimacy.
Usually, n have a hard ti refusing such affectionate terms from won.
This ti, however, she didn’t overtly target Qin Miaomiao. Her attitude toward her even seed rather friendly. She had gone so far as to arrange seats for them up front.
"The showcase is about to begin. I might get too busy over here, but I’ve saved the best seats for you two. Miaomiao, didn’t you just film a web drama? A television executive will be sitting right next to you later; it might be helpful for you."
Qin Miaomiao’s eyes flickered slightly at these words. Oh, it seed Mo Wenwan was trying to change tactics and avoid directly confronting her.
Her words sounded overly sincere—as if rejecting her offer would make her seem ungrateful.
A television executive?
Her drama wasn’t even intended for television broadcasting. The streaming platform for its release had already been confird: the country’s largest online portal video site!
But once she sat down and the so-called television executive arrived, Qin Miaomiao imdiately understood her sche!
The man was a greasy-looking middle-aged uncle—ugly, with a bald do, and a beer belly that looked six or seven months pregnant.
When he saw her, his eyes lit up as he walked straight toward her. He plopped down into the seat beside her, leaning his body closer, and then extended his greasy hand toward her.
Before Qin Miaomiao could react, Lu Qing stood up and said in a calm voice:
"We’ll switch seats."
Qin Miaomiao imdiately swapped spots with him. Thank goodness for her husband—he was absolutely amazing!
As soon as she sat down again, another person took the seat to her right. She glanced over, and her gaze darkened.
Huang Shan—the woman with a face eerily similar to Su Jin.
"Miss Qin, what a coincidence, seeing you again."
"It is quite a coincidence. You’re sitting here?"
"Oh, I ca here with President Li."
Looking farther to the side, Qin Miaomiao saw Li Li seated next to Huang Shan, nodding and smiling at her.
