Qin Miaomiao was sobbing uncontrollably, burying her head into Lu Qing’s chest as she choked back her cries, sounding as if she could barely breathe. Lu Qing looked like he was ready to kill soone.
Mr. Jiu’s expression was cold—so cold it was almost icy!
In a deep voice, he said, "What are you waiting for? Hurry and co look!"
Trembling under Mr. Jiu’s murderous gaze, Mr. Hu cautiously approached and stamred,
"M-Miss, where are you hurt?"
Qin Miaomiao was wearing a pair of embroidered silk shoes that were crafted beautifully.
But there were bloodstains at the tip, and the mont Mr. Hu touched her foot, she winced in pain, baring her teeth!
Mr. Jiu shot her an icy glare: "How’s her toe?"
Lu Qing’s brows furrowed tightly: "Is it serious?"
Mr. Hu swallowed hard, finding it even difficult to breathe. He... he hadn’t even examined the wound yet—what was he supposed to say?
And if he said the wrong thing, could he even leave here alive?
After painstakingly removing her shoe, her toe was indeed bleeding quite a lot. Only after carefully inspecting it did Mr. Hu dare to speak:
"There’s a small bone fracture in the toe, and the toenail is detached, but it’s not a major issue. Treat the wound and give it so ti to heal, and it’ll be fine."
Qin Miaomiao’s eyes were brimming with tears, and as Mr. Hu applied dicine, the pain caused her to shiver uncontrollably. Lu Qing’s expression turned extrely grim, and Mr. Hu felt his own hands trembling.
This young man exuded a nacing aura that scread danger!
As for Mr. Jiu, Mr. Hu was even more terrified—soone of his stature, even a light cough from him was enough to make one nervous!
Once the wound was treated, Mr. Jiu started walking outside, but Qin Miaomiao, as if possessed, blurted out:
"Ninth Uncle, where are you going?"
"To kill the lion. Tonight, I’ll simr its bones for soup to help nourish your recovery!"
Huh?
Qin Miaomiao grew anxious and tried to get off the ground, only to scream from the pain when her injured foot landed. Lu Qing hurriedly supported her: "What are you doing? Your foot is hurt—don’t move recklessly."
"Ninth Uncle, you can’t kill that lion! It’s your birthday gift after all. Killing it would be terribly inauspicious!"
Mr. Jiu stopped but remained visibly unwilling to change his mind, his face still dark.
Lu Qing sneered: "Kill it? There’s no need for you to do it—I’ll slaughter it myself."
With that, he helped Qin Miaomiao sit properly and strode outside, leaving her unable to stop him!
And Mr. Jiu... well, he was even faster!
The two n, once competing to ta the lion, were now competing to kill it!
Qin Miaomiao panicked. The mont her injured foot touched the ground, a sharp pain pierced through her, and Little sixth and Little seventh quickly steadied her.
"Little sixth, Little seventh, hurry, take there!"
Little sixth and Little seventh instantly lifted her up and dashed outside, but they were so nervous they didn’t dare carry her or piggyback her. With Young Master Lu being such a jealous tyrant, what if he chopped their hands off?
The White Lion had been locked in a cage and had already woken up. It was pacing inside the cage, growling lowly, its roar terrifying.
Mr. Jiu... was holding a fruit knife as he stood outside the cage, while Lu Qing had a kitchen knife in hand.
Oh my, where did these two even find these weapons? And really, Lord Lu, a kitchen knife doesn’t exactly suit your image!
"Old Third, open the cage."
The cage was opened, and the White Lion imdiately leapt out, growling loudly. Lu Qing glanced at Mr. Jiu and said flatly:
"You’re the birthday star—probably best not to see blood today."
Mr. Jiu sneered: "The gift from Little Jin’er—I won’t hand it over to soone else to finish off."
Lu Qing smirked coldly: "Then let’s see whose speed is faster."
"Fine!"
By the ti Qin Miaomiao arrived, the White Lion... already bore several wounds and no longer had the ferocious deanor it had before. Instead, it was trembling in fear?
Suddenly, it let out another low roar and lunged straight at Qin Miaomiao!
What the hell?! Lunging at her again? Goodness, she ca to save it, but it really couldn’t tell good from bad, could it?
