"Damn it! Lu Qing, you actually ditched again!"
Lu Qing glanced at her lightly: "Unhappy? Wanna fight?"
Jiaojiao angrily rolled up her sleeves: "Fight then! I’m afraid of you? I’m a black belt in karate, I don’t believe I can’t beat you!"
Qin Miaomiao said quietly: "He can take on ten people. Jiaojiao, are you sure you want to try?"
Jiaojiao’s face suddenly stiffened. Ten... ten people?
"You’re lucky this ti. Next ti, next ti I’ll knock your teeth out. Xiaoxiao, let’s go."
Lin Xiaoxiao was a bit stunned. Just giving up like that? She was worried they’d really start fighting later.
Before she left, she turned back to look at Lu Qing, the man she had admired all these years. If so feelings were just one-sided, then she should let them go.
Even if giving up this love would feel like tearing her heart apart, she had to smile. Goodbye, Lu Qing.
She would find a man truly ant for her, soone whose eyes and heart would be entirely hers.
No matter when he cos, she would look forward to it. There had to be soone like that out there.
The two walked away, while Qin Miaomiao clutched her stomach in laughter. Lu Qing placed a hand on her shoulder:
Qin Miaomiao glared at him: "You ditched Jiaojiao again. You better watch out, Jin Jing will give you hell."
Lu Qing squinted his eyes: "Would he dare?"
Uh... actually, probably not.
"Jiaojiao’s a woman, are you jealous of even won now?"
Lu Qing snorted disdainfully: "What part of her looks like a woman?"
Jiaojiao, soone’s trash-talking you!
"You’re definitely jealous of how cool she looks. In my heart, my husband is the coolest, okay? Now, let’s be done here and check out. If we stay any longer, I’m gonna go crazy. No one stays in the hospital just because of period cramps! It’s embarrassing!"
Lu Qing stroked her hair: "The discharge paperwork is already being processed. Who would dare mock you?"
"Jiaojiao and Xiaoxiao found out. Your buddies definitely know too, not to ntion Little Sixth and Little Seventh. What do you think they’ll say? My embarrassnt will spread all the way to the Pacific Ocean."
Lu Qing suppressed his laughter, smoothed out her hair that had been turned into a bird’s nest, and patiently reassured her:
"Relax, they won’t laugh at you. At least, not openly."
That ans behind her back, right?
This stain on her reputation, she probably wouldn’t be able to wash it off for the rest of her life.
Before leaving the hospital, she stopped to see Lu Lu, who was still guarded by Fang Li at her bedside.
Lu Lu’s arm was in a sling, her face looked pale and haggard. When she saw Qin Miaomiao, her expression turned complicated. Instead of losing her temper, she simply looked away.
Fang Li’s gaze, however, was full of hatred, as though Qin Miaomiao were her sworn enemy.
"What are you here for? Get out."
Qin Miaomiao understood instantly. It seed reconciliation was out of the question, their enmity only grew deeper. Fine, if there’s no familial bond as in-law, there’s no need to force it.
"Alright then, take care and rest well. Goodbye."
Fang Li was livid and roared:
"You’re leaving just like that? My daughter ended up like this, you’re fully responsible!"
Lu Lu tugged at her sleeve: "Mom, stop talking."
Fang Li looked at her in disbelief: "Stop talking? After suffering such a loss, you won’t let speak? What’s wrong with you? Qin Miaomiao, I never expected you to be so cruel! I, Fang Li, will never acknowledge you as my daughter-in-law!"
Qin Miaomiao indifferently raised an eyebrow: "Oh."
"Oh? Is that your attitude? I’m your elder! Soone like you, if it were ancient tis, would’ve been thrown out of the family already!"
Qin Miaomiao let out a cold laugh: "Mother-in-law, as long as Lu Qing says the word, I’ll leave without complaint. Since you despise so much, let’s avoid seeing each other from now on. Holidays and whatnot, Lu Qing can handle visiting on my behalf. Just act like I don’t exist as your daughter-in-law. That way, neither of us has to deal with the other. Wouldn’t that be perfect?"
