Qin Miaomiao was startled and quickly tried to hide the paper behind her, her face full of embarrassnt:

"It’s... it’s nothing, I’m writing a self-reflection."

Lu Qing raised an eyebrow: "Oh? Let take a look."

Qin Miaomiao grew even more flustered, gripping the paper tightly, cold sweat nearly breaking out: "Better... not. Let finish writing first."

"No need. Give it to ."

Lu Qing acted assertively, reaching out to grab it. Qin Miaomiao imdiately crumpled the paper into a ball and tossed it toward the trash can—clang! It missed and landed outside.

Lu Qing let her go, and with quick reflexes, picked the paper up. Qin Miaomiao’s heart nearly jumped out of her chest as she darted over, jumping straight onto his back, trying to snatch it from his hands.

But how could she possibly win?

"Don’t... don’t look!"

Not let him look? That made him all the more determined to look. She clung to him like a koala, but unfortunately, her arms were too short to reach. She could only watch helplessly as he unfolded the paper.

"Lu Qing is a bastard? Hmm?"

Qin Miaomiao’s heart montarily stopped. She imdiately jumped down from Lu Qing’s back, turned around, and tried to run to the bedroom but was yanked back into his arms with a powerful pull. Her nose hurt from the collision.

Seeing there was no escaping, Qin Miaomiao quickly offered an explanation:

"I was wrong. I didn’t an it."

Lu Qing’s face betrayed no emotion, but his eyebrow arched slightly: "Oh? You didn’t an it? Then how did you manage to write ’Lu Qing is a bastard’ dozens of tis?"

...

There was no way to explain it. She decided to keep quiet.

"Seems like you really hate ."

Qin Miaomiao lowered her head: "I don’t."

"Don’t what?"

"I don’t hate you. I’m just... I’m just saying, you’re always bullying ."

Lu Qing suppressed his anger and instead pulled her to sit down on the nearby sofa, holding her entirely in his arms. She couldn’t move at all and could only tuck herself obediently against him.

"Tell , how am I bullying you?"

"You made write a self-reflection."

"Just for that?"

Lu Qing chuckled in frustration and couldn’t help pinching her cheek. Hmm, his little wife was quite spoiled. She’d need more coaxing.

"Anyway, when I’m with you, I always end up admitting defeat. It’s so humiliating."

That was the real issue. The longer they were together, the more defeated she felt. Would she just be bullied to death in the future?

No, wait, in a little over two months, they’d be divorced. So even if he bullied her, there wasn’t much ti left to do it. Thinking that way, her heart felt slightly more balanced.

Lu Qing’s fingers lazily traced her soft, smooth skin, his deanor almost indifferent.

"Humiliated in front of who? No matter how humiliating, it’s just in front of . Outside, who would dare bully you?"

Well... he had a point there. She was suddenly at a loss for words.

Then she heard him speak in a calm voice:

"So, how are we going to settle this?"

He shook the paper in his hand, making Qin Miaomiao’s heart tremble. Why did she have to be so reckless?

"How... how do you want to settle it?"

Lu Qing touched her face, his fingers slowly sliding downward, his eyes flickering with a dark gleam.

"Strip down and climb into my bed. That seems like a pretty decent apology."

Qin Miaomiao covered her face: "You read the comnts, didn’t you?"

"What do you think? Write an 800-word self-reflection or strip down and climb into my bed. Your choice."

What?

Did he have to be so ruthless?

Either exhaust her brain or... cough cough.

How could she sell out her dignity like that!!!

"Fine, let’s go to the bed."

Qin Miaomiao put on a look of fearless resolve, got up from the sofa, and walked toward the bedroom. Her retreating figure looked...

...just like a brave warrior heading to their final stand, never to return.

Lu Qing curled his lips into a smirk and laughed.
