However, Lu Lingche refused to let go, “I’ll feed you just fine.”
Qiao Yin’s face turned slightly red. Lu Yanxi was still watching by the side. What was he doing? Thankfully the light was dim, so no one noticed her embarrassnt.
She didn’t want him to feed her and struggled with him for the cup, “You don’t have to.”
But Lu Lingche was just as unwilling to let go, and as they tussled over it, most of the water in the cup ended up spilling.
Lu Yanxi stood aside, looking at Qiao Yin drenched in water, her expression one of unspeakable complexity.

The bedroom lights were off. With the door previously open, light could shine in from outside, but now that Lu Yanxi had closed the door, only a faint moonlight remained in the room.
In the dimness, Qiao Yin held Lu Lingche’s hand, “Let do it.”
But Lu Lingche grasped her hand instead, “I’ll do it, you drink water.”
Unable to pull her hand away, Qiao Yin couldn’t help but glare at him, “You’re holding both of my hands, how am I supposed to drink water?”
Lu Lingche laughed softly, released one of her hands, and after she finished drinking, he held it again.
Her hand was very soft, just like her, holding it felt comfortable, but unfortunately, she no longer wanted him to hold her.
He rembered how when they had just gotten married, she would let him hold her every night, warm and soft like a little cat, sleeping in his embrace. He didn’t like living with others, but he could accept living and sleeping together with her.
He lifted Qiao Yin’s hand to his lips and kissed it gently, “Go to sleep, I’ll watch over you tonight.”
“How can I sleep with you here? I don’t need you watching over . I’m not Lan Yuyi; I don’t need you accompanying to sleep.”
Lu Lingche paused, reminded of how he would leave her alone at ho on rainy nights to accompany Lan Yuyi. He really wanted to slap himself.
“It was my fault before.”
Lu Lingche’s voice was very low, tinged with guilt, “I didn’t do well, didn’t fulfill the responsibilities of a husband.”
“You indeed didn’t fulfill the responsibilities of a husband, but I don’t need it anymore. Lu Lingche, what will it take for you to let go? Do I really have to get married for you to stop looking for ?”
“Who are you planning to marry? Gu Jing?”

“What’s normal about that? He’s making wild guesses; he knows nothing for sure and is deliberately making up nonsense to stir up trouble between us. Can’t you see? He simply doesn’t want you to be with !”
“I never intended to be with you, to begin with.”
Qiao Yin paused for a mont before stating directly, “I have a boyfriend now. You better stay away from in the future. I’m afraid my boyfriend will misunderstand.”
