Chapter 487: Saving the Old Lady
The old woman seed dazed even after she had entered the dical Clinic, she showed no reaction even when Qiao Yin had her sit down on the chair.
Qiao Yin let out a helpless sigh, “You’re lucky. My grandmother is a compassionate doctor who insisted on treating you. If not, you’d probably be in custody now.”
The old woman seed oblivious to Qiao Yin’s words, she kept murmuring, “My son, my son….”
While taking her pulse, Qiao Yin pacified her, “Your son is alive; he is okay.”
All of a sudden, the old lady burst into tears, “My son is living a life worse than death, and it’s all your fault! You damned doctors ruined him!”
Seeing her attempt to stand, Qiao Yin imdiately administered two acupuncture needles to temporarily restrict her actions and facilitate the pulse reading.
After a while, Qiao Yin turned to her grandmother and said, “I think I can treat her.”
Shen Yujun looked at her seriously, “What do you an ‘think’? How dangerous would it be for the patient if all doctors said that.”
Qiao Yin straightened her back and asserted firmly, “I can treat her!”
Shen Yujun nodded approvingly, “Then go ahead. If you can cure her, that would be an act of rit.”
Qiao Yin was not concerned about rit; she just hoped that after resolving the old woman’s ntal issues, she would not cause any more trouble.
One after another, she placed the golden needles on the acupoints, focusing intensely, her hands steadier than ever.
These particular gold needles were only recently custom-made, and this was their first use. However, Qiao Yin found them very handy and felt the need to commission more sets.
Under her treatnt, the old woman swiftly fell into a deep sleep.
Just then, Ye Wan, carrying a child, arrived. Seeing the old woman asleep, she quickly put down the child and helped Qiao Yin move the old woman onto the bed.
Ye Wan quickly recognized the old woman, “Yinyin, why are you treating her? Aren’t you afraid she will turn on you later? So people, even if you save their lives, won’t be grateful.”
Ye Wan had been a witness when Qiao Yin’s mother was murdered years ago.
That incident had traumatized her to the point that she is phobic about blood and, like Qiao Yin, does not prefer to save wicked people.
Considering that the old woman constantly raised a ruckus, hurling insults at them and the dical Clinic, Ye Wan categorized her as a “bad person.”
Helplessly, Qiao Yin pointed to her grandmother and said, “My grandma wanted to treat her. She has a warm heart despite her cold exterior and probably felt pity for this old woman, so she wanted to help.”
Ye Wan was also helpless, “Grandma, why do you still like to help others so much? After all the troubles you’ve encountered before, haven’t you learned enough?”
Shen Yujun looked at her granddaughter and great-granddaughter, seeing the disagreent on their faces, she couldn’t help but smile, “This ti it’s not just out of pity for her. It’s also for our own sake. Once we cure her and her mind becos clear, she won’t cause trouble anymore, and the clinic can continue operating.”
While the three were chatting, the old woman on the treatnt bed slowly woke up.
She appeared confused for a mont, “How did I end up here? Who are you?”
Seeing her seemingly back to normal, Qiao Yin went over to remove the needles, “This is a dical Clinic, ma’am. You were causing a scene outside our clinic. Don’t you rember?”
Ye Wan joined in, “Ma’am, you really berated us harshly, even though we are innocent. We do not know you nor your son, yet you insisted we caused your son’s death. It has greatly damaged the reputation of our clinic.”
The old woman turned white. It seed she had so recollection of the incident!
Furthermore, it appeared she often behaved this way, causing her to be frequently taken away by the police!
She wanted to apologize, to explain, but the only words she could muster were, “My son is not dead, he’s not dead, he’s just paralyzed!”
