I let Ms. Lyra and the others handle the matter
“At that ti, everything seed hopeless for Gelda.”
“Well, she was young. I think…I know how she felt.”
“…I think you are exaggerating… It hurt and I was a little sad. That’s why I was crying.”
Sotis, when you are young, such events could feel like everything.
Even adults felt that way too.
And this boy had ruined the food she worked hard to make.
And though Ms. Gelda didn’t think much of it now, she still rembered the pain and hurt of that mont.
“In any case, if you are not supposed to show yourself… Then did you break that rule just now? Even if it was the cockatrices that forced you to do it.”
“Indeed. But it’s not a big deal. We’ll just get a warning from the chief if we’re seen.”
“I see…”
“After all, there are a lot of non-humans here. So it was only a matter of ti before people realized it.”
“You really don’t seem to care. Even though you were upset at first…”
“Well, I would prefer not to be warned. Wouldn’t you?”
“I suppose…”
While it wasn’t a very important rule, it was still better to not get scolded.
“Mr. Takumi. It’s almost…”
“Ah, that’s right.”
While I was talking to the fairy, Ms. Lyra approached while gesturing towards the gate.
Even though there was still so distance between us, I could see Leo and the fenris were on their way.
“In that case… Uh, what should we do here?”
I had already told Leo and the others that I would go out to greet them, so I had to go… But I wasn’t sure about what to do with the fairy.
“I will handle things here. Please leave it to , Mr. Takumi.”
“Chi-chi!”
“Chi!”
As I wondered what to do, Ms. Lyra accepted the responsibility.
Cokka and Trice also flapped their wings as if they would help.
“Chi-chi. Chi-chi-chi!”
“He-hey! Stop that! I won’t do anything! I won’t!”
“Chi! Chi!”
“They said they’ll punish it if it tries anything funny!”
“I see… Cockatrices punishing a fairy… Well, that’s fine. I’ll leave it to you, Ms. Lyra.”
“Yes. I shall speak to the fairy and Gelda. And deal with the food…”
According to Liza, fairies had a lower position compared to cockatrices… Or maybe it was just this one.
In any case, clearly Ms. Lyra and the cockatrices had the situation under control, so I decided that it would be fine to leave.
“Well, shall we go, Liza?”
“Yes, to mama!”
“I will go too!”
“Alright, let’s go, Tilura. Rahle is over there anyway.”
Tilura was interested in the other fenrirs.
And so I held their hands and walked towards the gate.

“Here, Liza. Oomph…”
“Mama!”
“Wuff!”
When we arrived at the gate, I put Liza up on Leo’s back.
She had been sitting in front of the fenrirs, but lay down so that it would be easier.
“I see Tilura was holding your hand, Mr. Takumi… Not that I am jealous or anything…”
“Claire?”
“No…it’s nothing.”
These days, I found it easier to tell what Claire was thinking.
And to be honest, I had my own wishes in regards to that.
However, that could co later.
Right now, we have to deal with the fenrirs…
