"You... How did you do it?" The Progenitor's spirit stood up in disbelief, watching the skies of his realm fall apart.
He had intentionally given this impossible task to this child, knowing that he couldn't complete it. But what he had seen, left his thoughts scrambling.
It wasn't sothing that a child could achieve. Only soone like the Sword Emperor could have achieved it. In fact, if the Sword Emperor hadn't held his strength back in the past, his strikes wouldn't have only left a few small cracks behind.
"You hold his sword, and you possess such strength! Are you the Sword Emperor? No, I can see your bone age. You are not as old as him! Are you his reincarnation?"
The Spirit tried to make sense of the situation. Could the Sword Emperor have reincarnated? But even if that was the case, why would he co here just for his inheritance?
Every expert on the level of the Sword Emperor had their own path. His path and legacy wasn't suitable for the Sword Emperor. Similarly, the Sword Emperor's path and legacy wasn't suitable for him either.
At their level, each expert also had their own dignity and arrogance. They would never accept another person's legacy, accepting their weakness.
If the person before him wasn't the Sword Emperor, then who was he? He still didn't know what relation this child had with the sword emperor.
"Tch."
The Spirit was waiting for a response, but all it heard was the sound of Eren clicking his tongue.
"I told her to prevent this. I should've expected her to be useless. Not only did she not stop it but I can even feel my past mories changing. My actions might have created a different butterfly effect."
He was the future self of Eren. He knew what had happened when the Echo of Eternity was last used. They were simply supposed to help Eren and return. But one of them went too far and destroyed the Temple of Light, which wasn't supposed to happen in their original tiline.
That's why he had reminded his other self to act carefully and not do anything. He only wanted his other self to create false traces to distract soone in the Central Continent.
If he had known that his other self was going to destroy the Temple of Light, he would've stopped that himself.
"I shouldn't have chosen that immature one to create false traces. I should've guessed the amount of anger he held for the Temple of Light, as he ca from the imdiate future of that incident."
"Too much ti had passed from that incident to my ti. So I didn't hold much anger towards the temple of light. I didn't consider the possibility of him losing control!"
Eren's future self scolded himself for this stupidity. Technically, he had destroyed the Temple of Light. And he was also the one who had sent himself to the Central Continent.
Inadvertently, he had contributed to the destruction of the Temple of Light, which was an incident that wasn't supposed to happen so sadly. It especially wasn't ant to happen at the hands of a future self of the present era's Eren.
With the changing mories of the last, he felt as if his last was rewritten in real ti, with many events changing.
Initially, the Temple of Light wasn't destroyed. Eren didn't go to the central continent to search through the wreckage of the remnants of the destroyed temple.
This ti, things were different. Eren had arrived here, and Ice Maiden Palace failed to stop him.
Not only that, but his past self had even used the Echo of Eternity. Even if he didn't use his skills, his presence was already evident across the entire realm for those who knew what to look for.
Now that he was in the Central Continent, even being in the small enclosed realm wasn't helpful.
"No wonder you guided him here. You wanted him to use the Echo of Eternity to deal with the unintentional ss." Eren glanced at the blank screen before him, letting out a sigh.
"Are you listening to ? I asked what's your real identity?!" The King Clan Progenitor was getting frustrated after getting ignored for so long. Instead of answering him, Eren was talking to himself.
Eren finally glanced back at the spirit. "Ah, I forgot that you were here as well. I don't have much ti, so forgive for my intrusion."
He raised his hand and touched the Spirit's forehead.
"You can touch ?" The Spirit exclaid in disbelief. His disbelief soon turned into horror as he felt his remnant soul essence being devoured.
Even if it was only a small soul fragnt, it still belonged to a person that was supre immortal in the past.
Even a small soul fragnt of such a powerful person held imnse power. It was strong enough to kill quite a few demigods. Unfortunately, it couldn't even resist Eren, unable to move as soon as he was touched.
"I don't have many bloodlines to sacrifice. So you have to be sacrificed instead."
"You! What are you?!" The Progenitor's spirit roared in agonizing pain, watching a blue fire devour his soul right before his eyes.
He was supposed to grant his legacy to a descendant and then enter eternal sleep, fulfilling the purpose of his soul fragnt that he left behind.
Even after Eren had won the bet, he didn't ask for the legacy inheritance. Instead, he was forcefully stealing that inheritance, not even needing his permission in the first place.
"This should barely be enough. But the real problem is ti. Even with the enhanced skill and luck, Echo of Eternity won't last long. I need to get out of here!"
He flew higher into the sky, using the powers he was able to use after sacrificing the King Clan Progenitor's soul to his skill.
Under the bright sky of the barrier falling apart, many people with keen vision saw an unknown figure flying towards the sky.
Unfortunately, the figure was too fast, let alone catching it, they couldn't even see that person's face properly. Even the King Clan's current Patriarch was taken aback by the speed that was faster than his own.
"You must be behind all the strange things happening in the clan recently! Do you think you can co and leave as you please?" He raised his hand towards the flying figure.
