A few minutes ago, in another part of the superpower prison in Hokkaido.
Under the midsumr sun, the Bloodline looked directly at the Julius dressed in German military attire. She asked her team mber beside her, "How about I go alone? Ganging up on an old man makes us seem very uncultured."
"You seem to misunderstand sothing, we’re bandits," Jack the Ripper said, "Besides, you’re also a hundred-year-old old lady, so stop with the nopausal madness."
With that, she unsheathed her blade, the dark red Demon Blade shimring with an eerie light.
The battle between the three Catastrophe-levels was about to erupt.
At this mont, on the white dragon’s back, Xia Pingzhou turned to Ayase Origami and said, "Then I’ll go handle the miscellaneous tasks. You go with them, take down that Catastrophe-level first, it shouldn’t take long theoretically."
As he spoke, he turned half his cheek and glanced behind with the corner of his eye, seeing Urushibara Osamu’s flocks of crows already incapacitating large swathes of ard troops, yet there still stood a solitary figure.
The person wore a military uniform, had a shaved head, and a muscular physique. He stepped over the fainted soldiers, gradually closing in on Xia Pingzhou and Ayase Origami.
Xia Pingzhou rembered this person. In the hacker’s information, he was noted as a Quasi-Catastrophe-level Superpower User—"Fla Demon." Among the prison’s defense forces, he was second only to the warden in strength.
And his superpower, as his na suggests, was controlling flas.
"I’ll handle this person," Xia Pingzhou said.
"I’ll do it," Ayase Origami imdiately said.
"Don’t feel like you have to do everything... Go help Jack the Ripper and the old lady deal with the warden first; it’s common sense to handle the most threatening enemies first. This side is just a re Quasi-Catastrophe-level small fry, I can handle it."
Xia Pingzhou spoke calmly, already stepping down from the Paper Dragon.
Ayase Origami was silent for a mont, thinking that he too was Quasi-Catastrophe-level, but ultimately nodded and flew away on the giant Paper Dragon, joining the most dangerous battlefield.
Xia Pingzhou watched as Ayase Origami departed, then turned to face the Fla Demon.
The Fla Demon lowered his military cap, casually waving his right hand, sending out a probing blaze in front of him.
The flas roared with a world-consuming howl, turning into a deep red curtain of fire, enveloping Xia Pingzhou’s head! The ground instantly scorched and cracked, the acrid sll of sulfur and the heat wave almost suffocating.
Xia Pingzhou’s eyes were as cold as ice, but his thoughts were rapidly calculating from a chessboard perspective. With a flash of thought, two Soldier Statues instantly knelt with shields before him, forming a towering wall.
"Boom—!" In a deafening roar, the surging fla was forcefully deflected by the giant shields, transforming into a spray of scorching fire, distorting the surrounding air.
He quickly sifted through the shadows on the chessboard, placing the King’s Statue behind him.
As the fire curtain dispersed, the Fla Demon suddenly vanished from his position a hundred ters away, leaving behind only a molten pit! His figure elongated into an afterimage, tearing through the air like a cannonball as he approached!
But he abruptly halted ten ters in front of Xia Pingzhou—two steps ahead, two rolling lava fireballs materialized from thin air on the ground!
"Bang! Bang!" Two crisp explosions were heard.
A vicious gleam flashed in the Fla Demon’s eyes, like a world-class soccer player at the mont of a point shot, his legs volleyed forward, two sizzling fireballs drawing crimson trajectories, tearing through the sky, each targeting a Soldier Statue!
Xia Pingzhou’s expression was solemn. With a slight move of his fingers, space suddenly cracked open, the imposing Bishop’s Statue stood firm behind him, and an armored warhorse neighed, the Knight’s Statue charging forward.
"Charge."
At his command, the Knight’s Statue activated its power, enveloped entirely in a layer of pitch-black aura. He bent his body low, snapping the horse whip, and the silver-white giant horse launched forward!
"Boom! Boom!" The iron hooves of the Knight’s charge relentlessly shattered the two fireballs, the scattered flas splattered the sky like blood.
The Knight’s lance, without any delay, pierced through the searing flas, heading straight for the Fla Demon’s throat! Yet, at this critical mont, a sudden change occurred!
The corner of the Fla Demon’s mouth slightly curled upward.
The sky—turned to the color of purgatory. A massive molten sphere, large enough to obscure the sun, descended like divine retribution.
It silently burned, its surface flowing with deadly dark red light, emitting a catastrophic heat that made the distant ground wail and soften, the oppressive aura suffocating.
The Fla Demon abruptly perford a backflip, gracefully and nimbly leaping upward.
He twisted his body mid-air, letting out a low growl, using his waist to leverage, his right leg stirred up a fierce wind, kicking the massive fiery sphere.
The atmosphere stilled for a brief mont, followed by an earth-shattering explosion that erupted within a hundred-ter radius.
"Boom—!!!"
The molten sphere spun violently like a ferocious beast, tearing through the air with an ear-piercing screech! It crushed the ground, leaving terrifying trenches several feet deep, with flowing flas.
The Knight’s Statue broke into pieces upon contact with its surface, like fragile pottery, utterly devoured by this apocalyptic fireball!
The sphere, instead of slowing down, increased in speed, hurtling straight towards the insignificantly small Xia Pingzhou with the force of a star-swallowing mass.
Landing back on the ground, the Fla Demon sneered, thinking inwardly that the earlier small ones were only a blinding technique to make Xia Pingzhou lower his guard, while this kick was his true lethal move.
"Can you stop it?" he asked.
