Having loaded the role mory of Xia Pingzhou, Ji Minghuan was able to understand the text ssage he just received.

[Anonymous User: Underground bar in the alley of Tokyo’s Fifth District, we’re waiting for you in the third private room.]

Undoubtedly, this ssage ca from the "White Crow Travel Brigade"—today is the ti when Xia Pingzhou first ets them.

Ji Minghuan raised an eyebrow, opened the phone’s navigation, proceeded to the destination, and descended the steps into the underground bar.

For so reason, although it was clearly morning, the place had a scene of bustling drinking, extrely lively. Of course, it was possible these people hadn’t slept a wink and drank until dawn, but that would be too much stamina.

He weaved through the colorful crowd and arrived at the door of the third private room, lifting his hand to gently knock on the door.

This room housed the people of the White Crow Travel Brigade... the dual S-level wanted targets by the Mutants Association. Of course, they might also set up a few dummies to test , but that’s unlike their style.

Facing away from the bustling crowd, Ji Minghuan was praying inwardly, trying to lower his expectations for the target: "If they don’t die too quickly, it’s considered a success. At least before creating a third ga character, I hope this one can still be alive. Otherwise, my series of actions would return to a restricted state."

With a click, soone twisted the doorknob and opened the door for him.

He glanced through the crack in the door, and the one opening the door was a girl wearing a reddish-brown kimono, with dium-length, elegant black hair. Her expression was indifferent, resembling a locally made Japanese doll, with a pale complexion, large empty eyes that were chilling if stared into for too long.

The girl didn’t speak, just quietly staring at him.

"Please co in."

Inside, a warm voice spoke in Japanese, with a detectable English accent.

Ji Minghuan walked in, seeing two other figures inside, sitting on the sofa, playing cards.

The attire of these people was quite distinctive. The man sitting on the left wore a V-neck shirt, with his entire head encased in a square chanical box, on top of which were two stark white antennas;

Sitting on the right was a young man with blond hair and blue eyes, dressed in an English suit, with an unwavering smile on his lips.

"A newcor?" the kimono-clad girl asked in Japanese.

"Just like the photo, he’s the number 12 substitute. The leader is quite interested in his abilities, instructed us to co and see if we’re satisfied with him," the man with the chanical box head said in a steady voice.

"Shall we introduce ourselves first?" the man in the English suit put down his cards and said with a smile.

The girl in the kimono remained silent, but suddenly, a magazine from the drawer floated up beside her. Each page tore apart into several paper scraps, which danced to form a line of Japanese text in front of her:

— My na is Ayase Origami, No. 3 in the brigade.

Ji Minghuan looked at the words ford by the paper scraps, thinking: Control of paper materials, a superpower?

He calmly said, "Xia Pingzhou, taking over position number 12."

In his mory, Xia Pingzhou was a reticent person, always wearing a poker face.

Of course, the White Crow Travel Brigade hadn’t officially t Xia Pingzhou yet and thus didn’t have any concrete impression of his personality, so Ji Minghuan could freely override Xia Pingzhou’s original deanor, crafting a brand-new persona.

But after thinking about it, he reckoned keeping quiet in this group would be wise; establishing a reticent deanor could effectively avoid trouble instigated by words.

His gaze swept over the three people present, and quite coincidentally, two of them occupied a certain amount of space in Xia Pingzhou’s mory.

Over the past half year, Xia Pingzhou had almost obsessively delved into the details of the White Crow Travel Brigade, scouring various dark websites, finding video clips and surveillance segnts concerning them, and coupled with the currently disclosed official data, he could already recognize most of the mbers.

The young man with blond hair and blue eyes and the girl in the kimono were both Quasi-Calamity level Superpower Users.

However, this "Quasi-Calamity level" was a judgnt made independently by Xia Pingzhou based on the information he gathered. He speculated that even if they weren’t at the Quasi-Calamity level, they were at least above "Dragon level," touching the brink of the Quasi-Calamity threshold.

As for the robotic head, Xia Pingzhou hadn’t gathered any information on him.

"I’m Anluns, ranked 11th in the brigade," the blond-haired and blue-eyed youth said.

"Robert, ranked 7th in the group," the strange person with a chanical box for a head said, "They all call ’Robothead,’ you can call that too."

Ji Minghuan nodded at him.

"Hmm, about this ti we should be heading out," Anluns glanced at his watch, "But before leaving, there’s one thing we need to do. The leader said to kill everyone in the bar before leaving; so of these people are planning to target the auction next week, which conflicts with our schedule."

Ji Minghuan pondered, "So my induction test is to go out and kill them all?"

"Of course not... that’s just a trivial task. If the leader is indeed intrigued by you, then killing them wouldn’t qualify as a test for you, only considering which style to use would be easier," Anluns paused, "Hold on... let draw and see if there’s an easier way."

As he spoke, a strange gleam flashed in his eyes, and then a towering three to four ter tall blue slot machine suddenly appeared, standing quietly by his side.

"A slot machine, the superpower of mber number 11... I wonder what effect it has," Ji Minghuan thought.

Anluns leaned his body against the side of the slot machine, raised his hand to pull the lever, and amidst the clattering ga sounds, the three slots of the machine began to spin rapidly, drawing results.

When the dust settled, the final result displayed on the slot machine interface was three parallel "bazookas".

Ayase Origami fell silent, and Robert beside her also remained silent.

"Well, that’s all," Anluns shrugged, "seems like the result is a bit... flamboyant."

"Newbie, let’s go."

Robert said, placing his hand on the wall of the room. Utilizing his superpower, he created a doorfra on the wall that connected to an unknown place.

"If we don’t leave, we’ll be blown away, newbie," Ayase Origami reminded with a blank expression, being the first to turn the handle of that doorfra, stepping into another world on the other side.

"GOGO, we’re taking you to a fun place," Anluns casually slung Ji Minghuan’s shoulder and walked him towards the teleportation gate on the wall.

"Aren’t we supposed to kill everyone in the bar?" Ji Minghuan asked casually, his peripheral vision still lingering on the slot machine.

"What are you talking about? They’re... already dead," Anluns whispered in his ear, lowering his voice.

The next mont, the front shell of the slot machine opened, and a giant bazooka slowly extended from it. Accompanied by an ear-shattering roar, a blaze that seed to pierce the sky erupted from the cannon’s mouth, lting the entire room with forceful destruction, roaring towards the bar hall outside.

Unfortunately, the four of them couldn’t see what the underground bar now looked like... because when they regained their senses, their bodies had already passed through the teleportation gate, and with the disappearance of the doorfra on the wall, the commotion behind it was blocked countless kiloters away.

Ji Minghuan only heard a montary roar, but before the door closed, he distinctly felt a scorching wind blowing from behind.

He could deduce... that no one in the entire bar should have survived. No, not just the bar, but the alley where the bar was located and the surrounding residential area should also have no survivors.

Then, probably in another one or two hours, this news would cause a sensation throughout Japan.

"Dealing with these maniacs is way more interesting than playing house with two Quasi-Calamity level bosses,"

Ji Minghuan mused with interest. Looking up, he saw what seed to be an office building long abandoned.

In the office, the walls and floor hadn’t been cleaned for a long ti, dusty desks were arranged ssily, and one or two dilapidated computers were placed on so tables.

On the left and right walls, a banner in Japanese was hung respectively.

The content of the banner on the left was: Strictly adhere to working hours! Do not waste a second!

The content of the banner on the right was: The workplace is a battlefield! Always maintain the highest concentration!

"Haha, there’s quite a strong corporate drone vibe here. Wouldn’t so kind of corporate demon be born here?" Ji Minghuan thought.

He glanced out of the corner of his eye at the chanical head nad "Robert", guessing in his mind:

"From this perspective, the superpower of mber number 7 is to create a teleportation gate on the wall connecting two different places. No wonder Xia Pingzhou couldn’t find him — he’s a functional mber who usually doesn’t need to participate in battles, naturally avoiding sightings by outsiders."

Understanding in mind, Ji Minghuan still opened his mouth to confirm with the three:

"Where is this? Weren’t we just in an underground bar in the Harbor District?"

Anluns released his shoulder and explained, "Robert’s ability is to leave a teleportation gate in places he’s been to. As long as the distance between the two teleportation gates isn’t too far, they can be connected."

He paused for a mont, "This is an office building in Tokyo Harbor District. Previously, due to two consecutive employee overwork deaths happening here, the company was forced to shut down by the Japanese authorities, leaving the office building vacant."

"More importantly, what do you want to do?"

"Shh, do you see it?" Anluns stared straight ahead, teasing, "What do we want you to do? Of course, it’s sothing you exorcists are best at doing."

Ji Minghuan raised an eyebrow and suddenly caught a strong strange sll in the air, imdiately reacting:

"A demon?"

"That’s right, the three of us will be watching from behind as you and that demon brawl, and we’ll score you... If more than two of us are dissatisfied with your performance, not only will we refuse to let you join the team, but we’ll also kill you on the spot," Anluns smiled, "Looks like your opponent has made its entrance, won’t you go welco it?"

As his words fell, in the center of this eerie office, a shadow abruptly surfaced on the ground, spreading like a black lake, and then a gigantic figure slowly rose from the black lake, exposed under the sunlight.
