"So... my brother really isn't Blue Arc?"

Inside the Kawasaki Ran Shop, Su Zimai muttered to herself, feeling as if a lifeti had passed.

"Right."

Ke Qirui looked at the photo of Blue Arc on her mobile phone and nodded.

She turned her head to look at Su Zimai and grumbled, "From the looks of it now... Black Cocoon telling us yesterday that Blue Arc was your brother was probably just a joke."

"I knew it... Believing that Big Fluttering Moth is absolutely the stupidest thing we have ever done in our lives." When saying this, Su Zimai's tone did not sound angry.

Instead, it seed to be mixed with a trace of relief, glad that she had been tricked by Black Cocoon.

Ke Qirui thought for a mont. "But the problem is... even if Gu Wenyu isn't Blue Arc, there's a high probability he is still a superhuman."

"Don't tell , Captain, you want to say my brother is that Big Fluttering Moth now?"

Su Zimai curled her lips, finding it sowhat amusing as she pointed at Tokyo Tower on the television. Black Cocoon had just jumped from there, his fate unknown. She certainly hoped he had plumted to his death at the base of Tokyo Tower, though unfortunately, that was highly unlikely.

"No, haven't we already verified that too?" Ke Qirui smiled at her.

For so reason, Su Zimai suddenly froze.

Her heart beat rapidly, as if a thousand little people were tap-dancing on it.

Only at this mont did she completely relax. The worries of the past few days vanished into thin air, as if a heavy boulder suspended in her heart had finally dropped, clattering down into the abyss.

Su Zimai lowered her head, zoning out for a while, before a faint smile graced the corners of her lips.

She seed sowhat happy... happy that her older brother had not lied to her.

'I knew it. I already confessed my identity honestly, so how could my brother still hide anything from ?'

'We are family, after all...'

When she snapped back to reality, Su Zimai found Ke Qirui staring at her.

To cover up her daze, she hastily cracked a joke. "Well... I was actually worried that Xu Sanyan would tail him all day, only to discover my brother suddenly walking into a host club and picking a gay man to party with him all night."

Pausing for a mont, she teased with a straight face,

"Finding out my brother is actually gay would be way more terrifying than finding out he's Blue Arc, okay?"

"Alright, stop badmouthing your brother... We wrongfully accused him for so long. Isn't he pitiful enough?"

After saying that, Ke Qirui put on the Luster Hat resting to the side and said softly, "Let's go, Maimai. We need to take a trip to the branch building and et the real Mr. Blue Arc in person."

"Yeah."

Su Zimai nodded.

With nothing left to say, Ke Qirui paid the bill with the waiter and hailed a taxi outside the ran shop.

After getting into the car, they gave the driver their destination. The vehicle headed toward the official building of the Japan Exorcist Association, gradually lting into the ocean of neon signs.

anwhile, on the other side of Minato City, Tokyo.

Ji Minghuan controlled Host Body One, Black Cocoon, tailing behind Xu Sanyan. Relying on his restraining bands, he swung under the moonlight, shifting between rooftops, billboards, and the tops of telephone poles.

In just a few monts, he followed Xu Sanyan all the way to the first floor of the Japan Exorcist Association building.

Black Cocoon looked up. It appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary office building. This was because the Exorcist Association was different from the Transgressor Association; it was not an entity that existed openly in society.

Precisely because of this, if Ji Minghuan wanted to find the Japanese branch building of the Exorcist Association, he had to follow Xu Sanyan.

And when Xu Sanyan arrived, Ke Qirui and Su Zimai also happened to be stepping out of their taxi.

The three of them t and exchanged greetings.

Unfortunately, after they entered the association building, they did not see a man wearing a cyan uniform; they only saw the President.

With fully white sideburns, the President of the Japanese branch, who was over fifty years old and dressed in an ancient yellow kimono, stood with his hands behind his back. He explained with a smile, "Mr. Blue Arc has already left. He said he would return tomorrow when all the core bodyguard team mbers are fully assembled. There is no need to rush right now."

Although Ke Qirui was sowhat disappointed, she still smiled and said, "Then we will wait until tomorrow."

As she spoke, she cast a sidelong glance at the absent-minded Su Zimai. "Maimai, it is getting late today. Let's head back and rest."

"Sigh... What a wasted trip," Black Cocoon, who was following above their heads, let out a sigh.

Although he failed to see the comical scene of the siblings Gu Qiye and Su Zimai reuniting, Ji Minghuan thought: 'At least I can find out which hotel Ke Qirui is staying in.' Thus, maintaining his invisible state, he tailed Su Zimai the whole way.

A short while later, Black Cocoon stopped on the branch of a ginkgo tree by the side of the road. Crouching like a cat, he narrowed his eyes at the signboard on top of the five-star hotel.

"Qingbenhua Hotel."

Beneath the mask, Ji Minghuan silently morized its address and na.

Then, he raised his right arm, extending a restraining band to wrap around a traffic light pole on the road. Gripping the pitch-black band, he leaped up under the moonlight. Before long, Black Cocoon returned to the Roppongi Grand Hotel.

Shrinking his body, he slipped through the open floor-to-ceiling window into the dimly lit room.

Glancing sideways, he could see that his Restraining Band Avatar was currently sitting on the bed, staring blankly, with a room card pinched in its hand.

"Good work."

Ji Minghuan unwrapped the restraining bands enveloping his entire body and walked over, offering a symbolic word of appreciation to the other "Gu Wenyu." Imdiately after, with a sizzling hiss, the Restraining Band Avatar vaporized into a cloud of scorching gas and dissipated.

The room card dropped to the floor with a clatter.

He used a restraining band to pick up the room card from the floor, stretched it over to the entrance, and slotted it into the card reader.

The warm orange lights of the high-end king room flickered on one by one, dispelling the freezing darkness.

Ji Minghuan sat on the soft mattress, hunched his back, and let out a gentle sigh. "With this, my suspicion should finally be cleared."

He slumped backward in relief, lying flat on the bed.

"I should sleep early today... Tutor might co over tonight to tell

about my parents. Even if he doesn't, I still have to et Ghost Bell tomorrow night. I need to recharge my energy."

Thus, not long after closing his eyelids, Ji Minghuan's consciousness sank deeply into dreamland.

The night passed in silence.

The next day, inside the Roppongi Grand Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.

When Host Body One opened its eyes, Ji Minghuan saw that the ti on the wall clock was 7:30 in the morning.

At the sa ti, the first gleam of daylight spilled in through the high-end curtains, casting a glow on the red floorboards.

"So Tutor didn't co looking for

last night..."

Ji Minghuan stared blankly at the ceiling for a mont before slowly climbing out of bed.

July 15. He spent the entire day idling away; it was more accurate to say he really had nothing to do.

On the True Self's side: When no one visited, the confinent room remained as desolate as ever. So Ji Minghuan got out of bed, picked at so food from the plate left on the floor by the experinters, and after filling his stomach, he lay back down to continue sleeping.

On Xia Pingzhou's side: Since he hadn't yet received news of the Captain arriving in Tokyo, he had no choice but to stay in the cafe. He drank coffee, chatted with Ayase Origami and Oda Takikage, and occasionally acted as a waiter, handing out white sugar and books to the guests. It was actually quite relaxing.

Finally... that only left Gu Wenyu's side, where a few matters were still pending.

Because that very evening, Ji Minghuan had arranged to et Gu Zhuo'an on the roof of an abandoned building near Tokyo Bay.

Ti slipped away silently, like sand sifting through one's fingers.

By dusk, the setting sun sinking toward the horizon slowly took away the scattered afterglow lingering in the human realm. Neon lights lit up across Tokyo, rising one after another like toppling dominoes.

Another night arrived, closely followed by a sudden, torrential downpour.

It was as if a floodgate had suddenly burst open above the clouds, dumping tens of millions of tons of rainwater.

The curtain of rain drifted through the streets, alleys, high-rises, and power lines, tracing crisp parabolas before violently battering the earth.

The wind howled with a whistling sound, and thunder rumbled and bood...

A terrifying flash of lightning peeked through the sky, illuminating even the thick layers of clouds.

At this very mont, on the top floor of an abandoned building around Tokyo Bay.

Black Cocoon hung upside down from the ceiling, completely motionless, holding an educational book titled "How to Get Rid of Negative Influences from Your Original Family".

Relying on the faint neon light spilling in through the window, he kept his eyes lowered, quietly flipping through the pages.

Facing a ruthless character like Ghost Bell, he couldn't be bothered to put on airs and wrap himself up into a giant cocoon. That wouldn't provide any deterrence at all; instead, it might serve as the spark that enraged the other party.

Amidst the whooshing and pattering of the rain, Black Cocoon glanced sideways at the city of Tokyo obscured by the downpour. The Rainbow Bridge over Tokyo Bay remained brightly lit, with the flow of traffic rging into a dragon of light.

Right at that mont, he suddenly caught sight of a figure appearing in the center of the floor out of the corner of his eye. With a deafening boom, lightning tore across the sky, the fleeting flash illuminating the newcor's silhouette.

Black Cocoon froze for a second before slowly turning his head to look forward.

He saw the uninvited guest wearing a respirator mask engraved with a tallic Z. A long black cloak draped over his body, wrapping tightly around his slender fra and hiding his figure in the darkness, though it could not conceal the crimson glint flashing in his eyes.

He walked slowly toward Black Cocoon, every step seeming to be accompanied by the deep tolling of a bronze bell...

The rain continued to fall, and the world fell silent.
