Chapter 161: Rapid Changes
“What happened? Why do all of you look like this?”
Sano asked the soldier in front of him.
The soldier did not dare to raise his head to look at Sano. He then spoke to Sano in a trembling voice.
“The defenders of Norman Forest and the camp have been wiped out by Dali and Higgis!”
“What did you say?!”
Sano stared at the soldier in extre anger and roared out loud.
After that, he spat out a mouthful of blood.
Sano started to feel his vision go black before he then completely lost his consciousness.
“Lord Sano! Lord Sano! Are you alright?”
After so ergency treatnt, Sano finally woke up. When he opened his eyes, everyone around him spoke to him.
“Sir Sano, I think we should run now!”
“Run? Where can we run to now? Now that both sides have been lost, where can we run to?”
When that person heard it, he imdiately opened his mouth and said to Sano, “Sir, have you forgotten that the cultivation sects in the east have already been conquered by us?”
“After Sir Sano escapes to the cultivation sects, we can occupy the top of the mountain and make a coback!”
When Sano heard this, he viciously punched the ground with a heavy fist before speaking with a sorrowful expression.
“I didn’t expect that I, Sano the great, would actually be forced into such a desperate situation by two immature children?”
“From the looks of it, this is the only thing we can do!”
After speaking, Sano imdiately gathered all of his trusted subordinates and his family mbers and rushed towards the eastern gate of the Empire’s center.
At this mont, below the city gates of the Empire’s center, Rowe and Romon had also received reports from both sides.
“Reporting in! Sir Leader, the Norman Forest and the camp have been successfully captured by Captain Dali and General Higgis!”
“Good! That’s great! When we break through the Empire, I’ll definitely reward the two of them handsoly!”
Then, Romon raised his head and looked at the pitch-black center of the Empire. Suddenly, a bad feeling rose in his heart.
When Romon saw that the number of soldiers guarding the city gates was gradually decreasing, he imdiately brought it to Rowe’s attention.
“Big Brother! This is not good. It looks like Sano is trying to escape!”
“What? How did you see that?”
Rowe asked quickly.
Romon did not have ti to explain, so he said to Rowe, “Ti is tight now. Let’s wait until we catch Sano, then I’ll explain to you. The most important thing now is that we should imdiately head east!
“I think Sano must be trying to retreat to the cultivation sect!”
After listening to Romon, Rowe imdiately said to everyone.
“Soldiers, listen up! You now need to follow to the east!”
…
Sano was currently leading his trusted aides and his family towards the east.
His face was filled with hatred towards Rowe and Romon.
“These two d*mned immature youths! How dare they force into such a desperate situation! I, Sano, will never live under the sa sky as you!”
However, despite Sano’s words, the current situation seed to have beco a foregone conclusion. It was not sothing that could be changed just by Sano alone.
The sky gradually started to light up.
Sano and his group finally arrived at the Blessed Longevity Camp.
When Sano and his group saw that the Blessed Longevity Camp was already filled with smoke, the faces of the people around them were all filled with horror.
“Sir Sano, the Blessed Longevity Camp… seems to be… completely impassable!” Said one of the n beside Sano.
“These d*mned guys! Listen up! Let’s take a detour!”
“Yes!”
After searching for a while, Sano and his n finally found a wide grassland.
They then imdiately headed east.
“As long as I can reach the east, you won’t be able to catch anymore!”
Sano silently vowed.
As they were speeding along, one of the guards said loudly to Sano.
“Sir… Sir Sano… not good… not good!”
“What happened? Why are you so flustered?”
As Sano was speaking, he looked behind him. A large number of Naless Army soldiers led by Higgis were furiously heading in his direction.
“They… How can they be so fast?”
Without even having enough ti to sigh, Sano could only speed up his troops.
“Retreat! Retreat quickly!”
Sano roared at everyone.
However, it looked like the thousands of troops behind him had already arrived.
Sano did not know how long he had been running for.
By the looks of it, countless of his trusted aides had fallen to the obstruction behind him in order to protect him and allow him to retreat safely.
Sano soon arrived at an even wider grassland.
Above this grassland, there was a defensive point that had been set up by the Empire on the northern front.
The general who had been stationed here was called Mogg.
When Mogg saw Sano rushing towards him with a panicked look on his face…
He hurriedly spoke to the soldiers.
“It’s Lord Sano! Open the door! Quickly, open the door!”
However, when Sano opened the door, he instantly felt a wave of regret.
At the mont, behind Sano were the thousands of soldiers from the Lieluo Army.
By now, Rowe and Romon had successfully t up with Higgis.
When Mogg saw this, he could only quickly close the door and wait for an unknown judgnt to be brought upon him.
The northern defensive line of the Empire on this grassland then went completely silent.
Sano imdiately spoke to Mogg beside him.
“We have to run! We should evacuate to the east! Quick!”
Mogg obviously did not understand the current situation.
Thus, Mogg subconsciously blocked Sano’s path.
Just outside the defense point, the roars of countless soldiers resounded across the entire grassland.
“Those who don’t want to die, open the door and surrender now! We can still spare your lives!”
When he heard the shouting outside the door, Mogg glanced at Sano who he was blocking, and said, “Lord Sano! What’s going on?”
Sano saw that there was a strange look in Mogg’s eyes, so he quickly said, “Mogg, follow to the east now. I promise that you will be a great general of our Empire! What do you think?”
When Mogg saw that Sano, who was once so proud, could actually say such words to him, he could not help but sneer.
Then, he turned his head and gave an order to the people beside him.
“Tie Sano up!”
