Chapter 129: The Middle of the Rescue of Ancient Law Town
“Go ahead. Let’s see if there’s anything I can help you with,” said Tyrone.
“I heard that General Lecter, who was sent by the Empire to attack Ancient Law Town, was originally from Lecter City?”
Tyrone nodded in reply.
Seeing Tyrone’s nod, Mike continued.
“Do you know anything about General Lecter? Anything related to him is fine!”
When Tyrone heard Mike’s words, he could not help but ask in puzzlent, “Mike, don’t tell you’re thinking of converting General Lecter?”
Mike nodded and said, “This is the fastest and most effective thod that we have so far. For the sake of Ancient Law Town, we can only give it our all!”
Seeing that Mike had said this, Tyrone decided to put down his doubts and said to Mike, “This General Lecter was originally from our Ancient Law Town. However, when he was young, his parents eventually brought him to the Empire in order to seek so opportunities.
“This is everything I know about General Lecter!”
Hearing this, Mike beca confused again and asked, “Is that all? There’s nothing else?”
Tyrone nodded and continued.
“That’s all I know. The old people in the town might know so other information about General Lecter, but…”
“But what?” Mike continued to ask.
Tyrone sighed slightly before speaking.
“Most of the old people in our Ancient Law Town were captured during a surprise attack by the Empire a while ago.”
“Captured? Why were these old people captured?” Mike asked.
Tyrone saw that Mike was puzzled, so he continued to speak.
“Actually, I’m very puzzled about this too. We don’t know why General Lecter sent people to capture these old people alive. We don’t know what their purpose is.”
“Um…”
Mike fell into deep thought for a while. Then, he continued to ask.
“Are there any older people still here?”
Tyrone nodded and said, “Master Quan is still here. During the Empire’s surprise attack so ti ago, Master Quan was staying in the Ancient Law Temple, so he wasn’t taken away by General Lecter.”
“Okay!” Mike said happily. “If that’s the case, I think I’ll just question Master Quan himself!”
Then, Tyrone continued.

“Why do you say that?” Mike asked.
Seeing that Mike was puzzled, Tyrone said, “If he really misses his hotown, why would he lead the Empire’s Stone Tablet Army in attacking us?”
Mike saw that Tyrone was still unwilling to let go of his prejudices against Lecter.
So Mike said, “But in my opinion, it doesn’t seem like he wants to attack the Ancient Law Town!”
“Why do you say that?” Tyrone asked.
Mike gave a mysterious smile before speaking.
“In my opinion, there is a huge gap between the strength of Ancient Law Town and the strength of the Stone Tablet Army led by General Lecter. The fact that you’ve managed to hold on for so long under such a gap, I’m afraid is all due to General Lecter!”
Tyrone continued to ask, “Then why did he do it?”
Mike shook his head at this mont and spoke.

Mike said to Tyrone, “If that’s the case, then we’re running out of ti. Let’s go to see Master Quan now. Maybe he knows sothing about General Lecter!”
Mike and Tyrone imdiately went to the Ancient Law Temple.
They knocked on the door of the Ancient Law Temple.
The person who opened the door was called Apu.
When Apu saw Mike, his expression changed from its previous calmness.
Apu was especially excited when he recognized Mike, so he said excitedly, “Mike, are you here to look for Master Quan?”
Mike nodded, then he continued to say, “I’m here to resolve the crisis in Ancient Law Town!”
“Is Master Quan here?”
“Of course! Please follow !” Apu said.
Mike and Tyrone walked towards the inner part of Ancient Law Temple.
Mike found that more than half of the cultivators here had disappeared.
Seeing this, Mike asked, “Master Apu, where are the cultivators? Why are there so few here?”
Hearing Mike’s questions, Apu replied.
“Because of the Empire’s attack, the cultivators here have left and scattered. Most of the remaining cultivators are old n who have followed Master Quan for many years!”
“So that’s how it is!” Mike sighed.
Apu said, “We all hope that this unprovoked war can end as soon as possible!”
Following that, the three of them arrived at the Great Hall of the Ancient Law Temple. They found Master Quan was ditating as he sat in front of the idol of the Realm God.
“Master Quan, Mike is here!” Apu said to Master Quan.
Master Quan remained silent. This was also Master Quan’s style.
After a short wait, Master Quan finally spoke.
“Mike, you’ve found the person that you were looking for, haven’t you?”
Seeing that Master Quan was still so omniscient and omnipotent, he smiled and said, “Yes, I’ve found him, Master Quan.”
“If that’s the case, then why did you co to my small temple again?” Master Quan asked.
Mike smiled and said, “I ca here to resolve the crisis of the Ancient Law Temple!”
After hearing Mike’s answer, Master Quan went silent.
Seeing that Master Quan had not answered Mike, Tyrone prodded Mike and spoke in a low voice.
“Does Master Quan not want to help us? But, wouldn’t saving the Ancient Law Town also save himself? Does he have so kind of death wish?”
“Don’t talk nonsense!” Mike replied.
Just then, Master Quan who had been silent finally spoke up.
“The fate of the Ancient Law Town is as such. If its end is destruction, then I definitely won’t have any complaints.”
