Chapter 93 – Opponent acting

The actresses who were waiting anxiously outside waited for a long ti before Weng Tian ca out of the audition room. However, looking at her expressionless face, they didn’t know the result.

Then several actresses went in to audition, and when they ca out, they all looked a bit strange but didn’t say why, which made the other actresses more and more worried.

At this ti, the attendant called the next na – “Chu i Bo, prepare for audition.”

Shen Huai looked at Chu i Bo. Chu i Bo opened her eyes and smiled at him before saying, “Don’t worry.”

With that, she stood up and calmly followed the staff in the audition room.

As soon as she entered the audition room, Chu i Bo saw Guo Wenyuan sitting next to Director Xie. They seed to talk happily. Chu i Bo was surprised, but she didn’t show it on her face.

When Chu i Bo entered through the door, Guo Wenyuan saw her, and his expression got more serious.

Director Xie noticed his expression and looked at Chu i Bo. Because a long ti had passed, his mory was a little blurred. He was reminded by the producer by his side before he rembered the other person.

At this ti, Guo Wenyuan had already stood up and walked to the opposite side of Chu i Bo. Looking at Director Xie, he said, “Director Xie, how about I take part in this audition?”

Before, in the audition with Weng Tian, Director Xie had already seen Guo Wenyuan’s strength. Even though he assigned the audition part back to the deputy director, it was enough for Director Xie to recognize his talent. In his bitter view, Guo Wenyuan’s acting skills already beat most of the actresses at the venue.

It was just unexpected that Guo Wenyuan asked to act again.

Director Xie couldn’t help taking another look at Chu i Bo, then nodded and said, “Of course.”

The audition of the two was still the scene between Cheng Yanxin, the heroine, and Zhou Hanchen, the male lead. Chu i Bo played Cheng Yanxin, and Guo Wenyuan acted as Zhou Hanchen.

The two of them stood in position and closed their eyes to adjust their mood.

Director Xie stopped the deputy director who was about to shout start and looked at them solemnly. Not only did he find that Guo Wenyuan got serious for the first ti, but he also vaguely sensed that there seed to be so change in the two of them.

After a while, Director Xie called start himself.

The two of them opened their eyes almost at the sa ti.

At this mont, even if Director Xie didn’t speak, all the other staff mbers were shocked.

Their temperants seed to have undergone an earth-shaking change. The people at the scene believed that they had beco the real Cheng Yanxin and Zhou Hanchen at this mont.

In the dressing room of the film company, Cheng Yanxin, who had just starred in a major box office project, was drinking with the other staff to celebrate. Zhou Hanchen rushed in in his coat. Because he was running too fast his face was full of sweat. But at the mont he saw Cheng Yanxin, he suddenly stopped, and then hurriedly withdrew to the door.

He seed to realize that he looked embarrassed at this mont, so he awkwardly tried to wipe the sweat off his forehead, only to find that the handkerchief was in the pocket of his coat, anxious and panicked like a bank clerk who had just started his first job. There was no trace of the usual gentle deanor of the eldest son of the Zhou family.

Seeing what he looked like, Cheng Yanxin gently raised the corners of her mouth, but then let it go. She motioned to the staff to leave first.

When everyone left, the two of them looked at each other, their gazes t for a mont before moving away.

There was only one sentence in the audition script as a synopsis and all the actresses before skipped it directly, while the two of them expressed it perfectly without communication, based only on each other’s movents and eyes.

Director Xie was suddenly short of breath, his hands pressed on the table and his body even trembled with excitent.

This was a textbook level of improvisation!!

It was wonderful!

It was amazing!

Director Xie couldn’t help but hold his breath and watch the two act so intently.

Cheng Yanxin’s eyelashes dropped slightly before she whispered softly, “Go away, don’t co again.”

Zhou Hanchen’s eyes beca slightly wider with anxiety and aggravation. “Cheng Yanxin!” Seeing that Cheng Yanxin didn’t respond, he couldn’t help but take half a step forward.

“Stay back!” Cheng Yanxin’s voice rose a little.

Zhou Hanchen stopped in place, but he pressed his lips, slowly lowering his head, and tightly clenched his fist at the hem of his clothes with one hand.

He lowered his head, so he didn’t see that Cheng Yanxin was looking at him, her eyes slowly turning soft. Her eyes slipped away from him, and the affection contained in them seed to overflow.

But her words were still as cold as ice, “You know we can’t.”

Zhou Hanchen suddenly raised his head, and Cheng Yanxin imdiately halted.

Zhou Hanchen’s lips trembled slightly, as if he wanted to say sothing.

However, it seed that Cheng Yanxin could no longer bear it. She quickly stepped forward and closed the door.

Zhou Hanchen looked blankly at the door. He raised his hand, as if he wanted to knock, but found his hand was shaking. In the end he did nothing. The look in his eyes faded away slowly, and he finally put his trembling hand back in his pocket.

But even though he gave such a delicate performance, the eyes of all the people at the scene could not leave Cheng Yanxin standing at the door.

She stood straight, her arms around her body, her chin tightly stretched. In her eyes, two emotions of nostalgia and of pain were interchanging, so heavy that onlookers could empathize with them.

As she gently closed her eyes, a tear slid quickly across her face, and then quickly disappeared, as if it had never appeared.

When Cheng Yanxin opened her eyes again, those weak and reluctant eyes had already disappeared completely. She raised her chin slightly, as cold and haughty as a queen.

She didn’t give up on this relationship passively, but cut off all the ties by herself.

At the end of the performance of these two, the scene was silent.

Chu i Bo relaxed and took a breath and Guo Wenyuan’s reaction was similar to hers.

They both knew each other’s strength and could take on their performance, so there was no reservation, and they both gave their best performance. This acting was passionate and refreshing.

Director Xie enjoyed it even more to watch. For a famous director like him, working with a good actor was like drinking ice water on a hot day. All of his internal organs felt happy. But if two good actors acted together, it was almost like going to heaven.

Not to ntion, the two actors understood the script so thoroughly that they completely tickled him.

Director Xie’s eyes brightened a little. His addiction to shooting movies was hooked up by these two people and he directly signaled to the audience, “Give them the official script and let them try again.”

The two acted four or five scenes in a row and Director Xie’s eyes beca brighter and brighter, and his brain was full of a new inspiration. He wished he was filming now and could put his ideas into practice.

At last, the producer couldn’t watch it any longer. “Director Xie, Director Xie, please wait for a mont...”

Director Xie reluctantly recovered so sense of place from his fanatical mood, coughed and regained his sanity and calmness of a famous director.

“Well, that’s all for today’s audition. We will inform you about your next audition.”

The deputy director was robbed of his lines and took a sad look at Director Xie.

Chu i Bo nodded. “Ok, thank you.”

Director Xie’s expression was very amiable. “Don’t work too much in the upcoming days, just have a good rest in the hotel and reflect on the role. The next audition is with the leading actor. I hope you will act just like this ti, don’t let down.”

After Director Xie finished speaking, he looked at Guo Wenyuan again. This ti, he was a bit entangled.

Guo Wenyuan’s performance was very outstanding. Watching him, Director Xie felt like watching Du Yuping at the sa ti. Even if he was only 30 years old, Guo Wenyuan acted probably better than Du Yuping.

Director Xiexin already had a suitable role for him at that mont. If Guo Wenyuan acted, it would add color to the whole movie. He now regretted that the previous role was decided too early.

But Director Xie thought about it, and finally grinded his teeth. In the worst case he no longer needed to sell favors. As long as he could make the movie more beautiful, his old face could be risked at any ti.

Director Xie decided on the role vigorously before the producer could speak.

The producer looked at the smiling Guo Wenyuan and asked in a difficult tone, “Director Xie, it was already settled... Don’t you need to think about it so more?”

Director Xie was calm. “It’s settled.” Then he rembered sothing. “By the way, when the audition is over, you will accompany to make ands to Lao Geng. He was promised the role of Yokota, but now we can only apologize to him.”

Producer: “...”

He wanted to slap himself in the face, why did he say that! Now he will be dragged with Director Xie when he goes to offend people.

Guo Wenyuan patted the producer on the shoulder. “Thank you for your hard work!”

Producer: “...”

Producers thought straightforwardly. It turned out that the worst thing in the world was not being caught in the conflict between the director and the investor, but being put in a difficult situation after the investor and the director colluded with each other.

Chu i Bo and Guo Wenyuan left the audition room together.

Outside, Shen Huai and Guo Wenyuan’s assistant were waiting anxiously.

Shen Huai was alright, because he knew Chu i Bo’s strength and had great confidence in her, while Guo Wenyuan’s assistant was very worried that the boss was making trouble in the audition room and had been craning his neck to look in the direction of the audition room all this ti.

But the two of them didn’t expect that the audition would take a particularly long ti.

Even Shen Huai, who was very confident, began to worry a little.

When they saw the two of them walk out of the audition room, they both breathed a sigh of relief.

When Chu i Bo ca over, Shen Huai just looked her in the eyes and was relieved. “No problems?”

Chu i Bo gently raised her chin. “Of course not.”

Shen Huai looked at Guo Wenyuan again. “Why did you co out together?”

Chu i Bo told Shen Huai what happened in the audition room.

Shen Huai: “...”

At the sa ti, Guo Wenyuan and his assistant were also talking about the sa thing.

Guo Wenyuan: “I am telling you, I got the role of Yokota. How about that? Aren’t I fierce?!”

Assistant: “...”

Guo Wenyuan said proudly, “I am telling you, Director Xie t too late. After watching my performance, he was so shocked that he gave the role!”

The assistant sighed. “....Don’t joke, just tell the truth. How much did your role cost?”

Guo Wenyuan spit a mouthful of blood and said angrily, “It cost ten million yuan! Satisfied?!”

The assistant took a long breath and said happily, “It’s okay, it’s not too expensive.”

Guo Wenyuan: ”!!”

He was angered! He was going to fire this assistant tomorrow!!!
