Chapter 473: Chapter 438: Mysterious rchant (Long Chapter)
Nightmare conducted a quick search, picking up so seemingly valuable items along the way and storing them inside the Space Ring.
Tang Yu slightly regretted not having brought a bigger bag when he left ho.
A Space Ring with a volu of a dozen or so cubic ters, in addition to an Interdiate backpack with 20 slots, couldn’t hold much!
He could only painfully select a few Advanced materials to take.
At the sa ti, his gaze swept across the surroundings.
Station 2269 had two kinds of languages. One Tang Yu didn’t understand, which should be the common language of that ti—based on the sparse clues, he deduced that before the Third Epoch, there must have been a unified society.
The other was rune language.
Nightmare walked into the area labeled “Third Rest Area”.
“Stations should be sothing like today’s Transfer Stations…” Only this rest area had been uninhabited long before the station’s disuse, as Nightmare forced open several room doors, all empty and hardly any dust in sight.
The expected alarm did not sound.
“It seems, aside from the defensive mbrane outside, the whole station has basically ceased to operate.”
“Second Rest Area”
“First Rest Area”
“Entertainnt Area”
“Garden Area”
“Item Delivery Area”
“Central Transmission Zone”
…
Nightmare passed by several areas and arrived at the “Central Transmission Zone”, where a Transmission Array as large as two sports fields appeared before him.
However, now, the Transmission Array was reduced to nothing but engravings on stone slabs, the myriad of runes within had long lost their energy over ti and were rendered ineffective.
This Transmission Array naturally couldn’t be used.
“But… those engravings are real. Once deciphered and the sa runes are replicated, it might be possible to restore this Transmission Array… and that would be far more valuable than so re materials.”
Nightmare took out the Image Retention Crystal and flew into midair to record the massive Transmission Array.
Worried that he couldn’t capture every detail clearly, he also took images from several different angles.
“The rest I’ll leave to Kevin to decipher. There are many runes inside that our Territory does not possess. Should he decipher and master them all, Kevin might just about reach the level of a Rune Master.”
In Kevin’s original world, high-end knowledge was tightly concealed. Let alone Advanced runes, most Rune Masters only mastered the most common Interdiate and elentary runes.
Lacking sufficient data for research, progress was naturally hindered.
“More importantly, is the construction technology of the Transmission Array…”
Boom!
Boom!!
Boom!!!
The palace trembled.
Transcendent might spread out, and terrifying attacks rained down, leaving the palace’s external mbrane flickering uncertainly.
“Is it those Alien Race Transcendents? Have they led the Single-Horned Giant Beast away and co back? That beast is too foolish, so easily lured away!”
Yet Tang Yu forgot; if the beast wasn’t foolish, would he have been able to attract it in the first place?
“I must quickly finish collecting and then withdraw.”
Readying to leave, he glanced back at the Transmission Array below. After a mont’s hesitation, Nightmare raised his scythe, Source Power converging, and monts later, unleashed a hundred-ter-long Sword Light.
Boom!
The solid floor was cleaved open with deep fissures. Not content, Tang Yu controlled Nightmare to hack a few more tis.
Only when the entire Transmission Array had been completely disfigured did Nightmare leave contentedly.
…
Tang Yu outright ignored the Entertainnt Area and the Garden Area, planning to check out the Rest Areas last if there was ti.
Soon, he arrived at the “Item Delivery Area.”
This area was even more chaotic with countless items scattered on the ground and signs of destruction in so places.
“Seems… this was the delivery goods storage area? Did they have a delivery industry back then? And using Transmission Arrays for delivery, quite impressive.”
Nightmare gently pried open a few parcel… storage cabinets. Most were empty, but so indeed contained packages.
Nightmare took them out.
“These are a few rune-manufactured Equipnt items… Huh, this one is still undamaged.”
Runes represent a special manifestation of energy and naturally have a lifespan. However, standard DC-grade rune Equipnt usually had a shelf life of eight to ten years… Those with engraved skills, however, had a shorter effective duration. But usually, Equipnt would be scrapped even before they beca ineffective.
“This undamaged piece is probably of A-grade quality. The energy depletion is severe, but rechargeable… That ans, these storage cabinets can reduce energy loss?”
He controlled Nightmare to progressively pry open the other cabinets.
Tang Yu found that these storage cabinets, too, due to the effects of ti, had their Defense Runes deactivated, which is why he could open them with ease.
Items flashed before his eyes.
Defective Equipnt, unwanted.
Decayed letters, unwanted.
Potion formulas, wanted!
Odd artifacts, wanted!
A mountainous-sized Puppet, wanted… but unattainable.
Tang Yu selectively took so items; those that couldn’t fit into the Space Ring, he simply cut down with a swipe.
At this mont,
The thunderous noise continued unabated outside, the palace’s shaking grew more intense, and dust began to steadily fall.
After a final circuit around the main and side halls, confirming there were no more valuable items, Nightmare decisively activated the Return City Scroll. The power of space enveloped the Puppet. It seed as if, in the infinite Void, the Return City Point of the Territory shone like a lighthouse, guiding the way.
In the next mont,
Nightmare appeared in front of the castle’s garden; the sky had completely darkened, stars twinkling above.
…
Mirage Mountain Range.
The Blood Mouth Clan’s Transcendents were continuously bombarding the palace’s light mbrane. Upon closer inspection, one could see that the Alien Race’s forces were one Transcendent short and many of them were wounded, looking very ragged.
Upon the mbrane, with each attack, sharp golden flashes shot out, casually blocked by the Transcendents.
