The next day, there was no sun as usual. Instead, it was overcast, and the sky was a dull gray, looking as if it might rain at any mont, but fortunately, it wasn’t as hot as yesterday. A gentle breeze blew, bringing a hint of coolness.
At ten in the morning, Cen Jin was woken up by a phone call. Seeing that it was Yun Xi calling, she slowly closed her eyes again, rolled over to find a comfortable position, and answered, "Hello, Yun Xi."
"Cen Jin, I have good news for you. My brother successfully secured the Milan order. Our design proposal passed unanimously, and the order has been placed with the factory. I’m at the factory now. Do you want to co and check out the raw materials?" As soon as Cen Jin finished speaking, Yun Xi’s voice, full of excitent and energy, ca through the phone, clearly trying to restrain it.
After hearing it, Cen Jin’s sleepiness vanished completely. She sat up straight on the bed, rubbed her already ssy hair, and exclaid in disbelief, "Didn’t you say earlier that you couldn’t get an appointnt with the person in charge in Milan? How did you manage to get it so quickly?"
"I couldn’t believe it when I found out. Do you want to co? I just texted Ling Ran on WeChat, and she said she’s on her way. I tagged you in a ssage, but you didn’t respond. Judging from your voice, are you still sleeping?" Yun Xi’s tone grew increasingly strange towards the end.
Feeling guilty, Cen Jin touched her nose and cleared her throat, "I’ve been working late all the ti recently. Now that the rush job is finally over, can’t I sleep in for once?"
"Alright, alright, you’re right. Do you want to co?"
Cen Jin glanced at the white clock on her bedside table and, while getting out of bed, said, "Yes, I’m coming right now."
"Great, I’ll wait for you."
"Okay, see you later."
After hanging up with Yun Xi, Cen Jin tossed her phone onto the bed, quickly put on her slippers, and went to the bathroom outside to wash up. While choosing her outfit, she suddenly rembered that she promised Jiang Baizhou she would go sowhere with him this afternoon. Although she didn’t know the occasion, after careful consideration, she decided on a light green dress, which looked fresh yet elegant, and chose a pair of beige crystal heels.
Looking at herself with light makeup in the full-length mirror, Cen Jin smiled, raising her eyebrows in satisfaction. She turned around, picked up her phone from the bed, and headed out the door.
By the ti she took a taxi to the large factory owned by the Yun Group, it was already past eleven o’clock. She had been to this factory seven or eight tis in total, and the security guard at the gate recognized her, even going out of his way to tell her where Yun Qi and Yun Xi were located.
Because the Milan project was an intricate major endeavor, Yun Qi personally ca, and the factory director and managent team were present to discuss the production details.
When she reached the second workshop, Yun Xi spotted her and waved, "Cen Jin, you’re here."
Her voice successfully captured the attention of the others, including Yun Qi, who was listening to the factory director introduce the raw materials. His expressionless face slowly broke into a smile, nodding to greet her, "Cen Jin, you made it."
Cen Jin approached, nodded back at him, and greeted the others before joining their group to start understanding the initial plans for the project.
After touring the entire workshop and viewing this latest batch of raw materials, it was already past noon, and the workers were on their lunch break. Yun Qi raised his wrist to check the ti and said, "Let’s go have lunch together first! We can discuss it in more detail at 1:20 PM."
