Lu Shishu was taken aback for a mont, then suddenly laughed: "What’s it got to do with ? Don’t aim at , being alone is just fine."

Cen Jin heard this, looked at her, moved her lips, hesitated to speak, then thought that after all these years, she had never ntioned that person’s na. She knew how hard it had been for her to co out of that shadow, so why bother to reopen her wound.

"By the way, I saw on the news a few days ago that you’re preparing an art auction. What’s up?" Cen Jin smiled wryly and clumsily changed the subject.

Lu Shishu nodded: "Yeah! It’s almost ready. I’m still communicating with the auction venue, and the pieces are pretty much finalized. It’s tentatively set for the 18th of next month. How about it, want to co?" After speaking, she raised an eyebrow at her and Jiang Baizhou.

"Sure! But, my studio has taken on a big project recently; I don’t know if I’ll have the ti then."

"What about you?" Lu Shishu asked Jiang Baizhou.

"Not sure." Jiang Baizhou replied indifferently with three words, then imdiately averted his gaze.

His clinic’s renovation work was also nearing completion and was about to open soon, so he would definitely beco busy. Besides, there were already over twenty clients booked online, so he really couldn’t be sure about his schedule later.

"Alright then! We’ll see later. Let know if you’re free." Lu Shishu understood the nature of their work and didn’t press further, simply agreeing.

Around seven-thirty, Ms. Qin brought four hot dishes and a soup to the table. The three of them, sitting in the living room, had long slled the aroma, their stomachs growling. When Ms. Qin called them to eat, Lu Shishu and Cen Jin dashed to the dining room at lightning speed.

After finishing the al and helping Ms. Qin tidy up, it was nearly nine o’clock when Jiang Baizhou and Lu Shishu left one after another.

After Cen Jin went upstairs, washed up, and lay on her bed looking at the ceiling, the image of Jiang Baizhou and Lu Shishu standing together played in her mind. After a long ti, she shook her head, picked up her phone, and opened WeChat to ask Ye Lingran and Yun Xi in their newly created group chat about their experience at the factory that day.

By the end of August, the injury on Cen Jin’s leg was fully healed, leaving no scar. But she was extrely busy due to the collaborative design project with the Yun Family Group, going out early and returning late every day, often rushing around because of materials or other trivial matters. In over a month, she had lost a significant amount of weight and was slightly tanned.

Fortunately, her skin was naturally fair, so it wasn’t too noticeable.

The sa went for Jiang Baizhou. With the opening of his new clinic and his reputation outside, he was incredibly busy during this period too. They sotis didn’t see each other at all, except occasionally during the weekends when he took a break to go for a morning run and would bump into her.

"Knock knock knock—."

The office door was knocked on, and Jiang Baizhou, sitting at his desk, looked up slightly, casually saying "co in," before returning his gaze.

Lu Xize pushed the door open and walked in. Seeing that there was no one else in the large office, he smiled and asked, "Are you done here?"

"Mhm." Jiang Baizhou replied softly, keeping his head down and writing sothing.

"It’s rare to have so free ti today, how about going out for a drink? My treat." Lu Xize walked to the desk, hands resting on the tabletop, smiling innocently.

Jiang Baizhou looked up at him, and his pen paused. After thinking for a mont, he capped the pen, gathered his papers, stood up, and nodded, "No need, my treat, let’s go!"
