Lu Xize took her phone, glanced at the route, and started the car heading to the barbecue restaurant she ntioned.

The journey wasn’t far, about ten minutes later, they reached the skewer shop. After Lu Xize parked the car, the three of them got out together. Yun Yisheng stared at the place, slightly disdainful, saying, "Oh, skewers!"

"What’s wrong with skewers?" Yun Xi stepped quietly in front of him, grinning as she softly asked, "Is there sothing unsatisfactory about the restaurant I picked?"

"No, absolutely not. Skewers are good. I haven’t had them in a long ti. Bro, let’s go in!" Feeling the warning glance from Yun Xi, Yun Yisheng only felt a chill down his back, imdiately laughing to ease the tension. He quickly pulled Lu Xize along and walked inside.

This sudden enthusiasm from the guy surprised Lu Xize quite a bit. He looked at him, feeling both flattered and amazed. Yun Yisheng, however, didn’t feel the slightest bit awkward. He even smiled warmly at him, exuding friendliness and innocence!

Lu Xize couldn’t understand why, but it was sohow unnerving. This kid suddenly being so close made him wonder if sothing strange was going on.

"You’re calling ’bro’ just to have shield you," Lu Xize teased, giving him a sideways glance filled with playful mockery.

"If you like being called bro, I can call you that from now on. After all, you’re way older than . Or perhaps..." Yun Yisheng chuckled, looking at him aningfully, "You’d prefer to call you brother-in-law?"

Hearing the word "brother-in-law," Lu Xize was a bit taken aback. He paused briefly, but then burst out laughing again as he t his gaze, patting his shoulder and whispered, "Calling brother-in-law is a bit premature, but it does sound nice."

"Right! I think it sounds quite good too." Yun Yisheng raised an eyebrow, and the two quickly hit it off, forming a peculiar yet delightful friendship.

Yun Xi walked behind them, watching their chummy behavior, pouted in displeasure. After they sat down and ordered, she crossed her arms and looked at the two of them, "I say... when did you two beco such good friends?"

Last ti, when I asked this brat to apologize to Lu Xize, he was so unwilling, his attitude was downright arrogant and unyielding!

"Just now. The friendship between us guys is easily ford, you wouldn’t understand." Lu Xize raised an eyebrow, replying with a broad smile.

Yun Yisheng nodded in strong agreent, "It’s understandable if you don’t get it."

With a rolling of her eyes, Yun Xi threw a disdainful look at both of them, sneering, "Yun Yisheng, don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. You think you’ve latched onto a big shot, huh? Even if you make mad, it won’t stop from teaching you a lesson. Whether it’s one or two of you, makes no difference."

"Tsk! In a civilized society, being too violent isn’t a good thing." Lu Xize seed quite accustod to her fiery deanor.

Yun Xi glanced at them again, this ti with an expression suggesting she didn’t want to engage with simpletons.

Lu Xize squinted slightly, looking at Yun Yisheng with intrigue, and casually asked, "What do you like to do usually?"

"Do what?" Yun Yisheng thought for a mont, "Apart from studying and doing howork, I like pretty much everything."

"What do you like the most?"

"Playing gas, playing basketball, and telescopes."

"Oh! What a coincidence, I like those too!"

"Really?" Yun Yisheng opened his eyes wide in surprise, a blend of youthful charm and naivety with a touch of delight.

Lu Xize nodded confidently and proudly, "Of course, I have a big ga room at ho, a private basketball court where I often play with friends, and an exclusive-edition telescope."

"Really? You have a ga room, basketball court, and a limited edition telescope?"

"Yes, I have them all."

"Bro, from now on, you’re like my real bro—no, closer than my real bro. Do I have a chance to see your telescope and ga room?" Yun Yisheng eagerly clung to Lu Xize’s arm, eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Sure! As long as you want, you can co over after we eat."

"Really?"

"Of course."

"Bro, you’re the best. I’ll toast you with this tea instead of wine."

Sitting across the table, Yun Xi’s mouth twitched a few tis. While it’s true that boys find joy in simple things, these two are truly baffling.
