"I can’t believe my mom kept it from ." Yun Qi chuckled lightly, turning to Yun Junsen inside: "Dad, let’s eat."

"Alright." Yun Junsen responded, and walked to the door. Seeing Ye Lingran, he smiled and said, "Ling Ran, you’re here!"

"Uncle." Ye Lingran nodded politely and greeted.

"Let’s go! Let’s head down for dinner!"

"Okay." Ye Lingran gave him a small smile and stepped aside to let him go first.

As she was about to follow, Yun Qi suddenly reached out and grabbed her hand, examining her expression closely, asking worriedly, "What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? You look like you’re not doing too well."

Ye Lingran looked up to et her gaze briefly, then quickly averted her eyes, shaking her head: "No, it’s probably... because it’s too hot."

"Is the air conditioning too high? I can have soone lower it."

"It’s fine, don’t worry, let’s go!" Ye Lingran withdrew her hand from his grip, smiled faintly, and then turned to head downstairs.

Yun Qi watched her back, raising his eyebrows slightly, feeling that her tone was colder than before, as if she was deliberately distancing herself. When they reached downstairs, he wanted to ask her, but Yun Xi ca out, and it seed she was avoiding him, choosing to talk to Yun Xi instead.

This left him puzzled; was it sothing he did yesterday when they didn’t et, or did he sohow offend her?

Probably not, right?

"Sis, don’t cheat, okay? One thousand bucks!" Yun Yisheng wiggled triumphantly and looked at Yun Qi: "Bro, I earned this pocket money with my own ability, so you can’t say anything!"

Yun Qi glanced at the puffed-up Yun Xi and didn’t say much, his thoughts focused on Ye Lingran.

It was obvious that Ye Lingran was angry, but he genuinely didn’t know the reason behind it.

When they sat down for dinner, Ye Lingran deliberately avoided him. If he didn’t take the initiative to speak to her, she wouldn’t even look at him or say a word. Yun Qi felt distressed, but in front of his parents, he couldn’t ask much and had to endure.

"By the way, Xi’er, I heard from Qi’er that you plan to return to Germany?" Yun Junsen suddenly rembered and asked Yun Xi during dinner.

Yun Xi nodded with a smile: "Yes, I’m planning to go back to Germany once this quarter’s collaboration with the Lu Group is over. I’ve always wanted to learn pottery, but never had the chance. Now I’m thinking of relaxing for a while. My brother already agreed that I can return to the company anyti. I’ve already found soone to temporarily replace . If it weren’t for my favorite design this quarter, I would have gone back to Germany before the quarter ends."

Ye Lingran was surprised by this but couldn’t ask much at the mont.

"Will you be back this year?" Su Wantang interjected.

"I’ll definitely co back to visit you by the end of the year! Other tis, I’m not sure yet. We can stay in touch via WeChat!" Yun Xi smiled sweetly and glanced at Yun Yisheng beside her: "But Ah Sheng here might trouble Uncle and Aunt, asking them to worry a bit more. My dad is no longer in Nancheng. With gone, he’d probably go wild, and my brother might be too busy to control him."

"Don’t worry, Ah Sheng has been living with us for so many years."

Being nad to ’take care’, Yun Yisheng felt exhausted from their conversation. Though when he learned his sister was going back to Germany, he felt reluctant. But after asking her reasons, he thought his freedom was coming, only to realize he was overthinking.

After dinner, Ye Lingran hadn’t found the chance to ask Yun Xi the true reason for returning to Germany. Near nine o’clock, when she was about to leave, she hadn’t asked, planning to inquire later on WeChat.

"Thank you for having today, Uncle and Aunt." Ye Lingran stood up, holding her bag, and bid goodbye, slightly nodding to Su Wantang and Yun Junsen.

"There’s no trouble at all, I was happy chatting and drinking tea with soone!"

Ye Lingran smiled lightly: "Then I’ll be off, Uncle and Aunt, please rest early."

"Alright, co chat and have tea with next ti you have the chance."

"Okay."

"Qi’er, escort Ling Ran back ho!"

"There’s no need, I’ll just take a taxi ho." As Yun Qi was about to get up, Ye Lingran spoke up with a smile and declined.
