Ye Lingran smiled helplessly, thinking about her relationship with Yun Qi. She truly didn’t know how to describe their relationship to others, but seeing Cen Jin’s concerned expression, she hesitated for a mont before saying tentatively, "Well, I guess...we’re kind of dating!" After she spoke, two distinct blushes appeared on her face.

Cen Jin blinked in confusion after hearing her words, then pondered for a mont, stunned, "What do you an...kind of dating? What’s the situation? Dating ans dating, if you’re not dating, you’re not dating!"

"Well, how should I put it!" Ye Lingran raised her hand to touch her nose, unable to co up with a good explanation and simply said, "Anyway, let’s just say we’re kind of dating! Don’t ask anymore."

Seeing Ye Lingran’s response, Cen Jin couldn’t press further and only said with a smile, "You and Yun Qi are pretty fast! You’ve reached this level without notice, but when I asked you before, you didn’t say anything. When did you start? You’ve actually been hiding it from us."

"Actually..." Ye Lingran smiled awkwardly, "It was that last ti when my grandma got lost, and he happened to help find her that ti."

"Did you guys get together then?"

"Not really, it’s just afterward..."

"Ah, got it. Then who confessed first between you two?"

Ye Lingran was stunned again, recalling the situation that day. A hint of bitterness spread in her heart, and she smiled at her mildly, not saying more. There was no real affection between her and Yun Qi; even the identities of fiancée and boyfriend were fake. The idea of confessing was an impossibility, simply a fantasy.

"No confession?"

Ye Lingran shook her head with a smile.

"Then how are you together?"

Ye Lingran pressed her lips silently, not that she didn’t want to speak but didn’t know where to start. She wasn’t willing to openly talk about the fact that she and Yun Qi were pretending to be a couple; it was just a temporary solution, a ans to reassure her grandmother and parents, and to fend off external pressure and those with ulterior motives.

When the right ti cos, their superficial relationship will be dissolved, perhaps next month, or maybe next half of the year, or possibly...tomorrow.

Cen Jin sensed a hint of helplessness from her smile, also realizing there was sothing hidden in their relationship. Her brow furrowed as she grabbed Ye Lingran’s arm, asking with slight worry and tension, "Ling Ran...are you alright? What’s going on between you and Yun Qi?"

"It’s fine! Anyway, we’re kind of dating now!" Ye Lingran smiled gently, quickly changing the subject, "Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore. Since you’re off soon, when can you leave? Should we go for Japanese food? There’s a new place at the corner of Chunxi Road, have you heard?"

"Yeah, I know! I passed by a few days ago and got their flyer. We can leave now; it’s not urgent. Let Ling Quan finish organizing the materials by tomorrow, we can be busy later." Cen Jin said this while quickly organizing her things, stood up, and picked up her coat and bag. Looking at Liu Zhiyan and Ling Quan, she said, "You’ll be off in more than ten minutes, leave on ti! Don’t work overti. But, Ling Quan, don’t forget the materials I asked you to organize; I need them tomorrow!"

"Sure thing! Sister Cen Jin, don’t worry! I’ll make sure to have them ready tomorrow morning." Ling Quan smiled, holding her notebook.

Cen Jin nodded and looked at Ye Lingran, "Let’s go, Ling Ran."

"Okay, I’ll grab my phone and bag."

After the two left the studio, they walked to the Japanese restaurant. The interior was entirely in a Japanese style, though so decorative trinkets and hangings had a touch of Chinese influence, including those small wooden items.

When their ordered dishes arrived one by one, Cen Jin received a call from Jiang Baizhou. Ye Lingran was eating sushi and waited until Cen Jin hung up before asking with a smile, "Is Jiang Baizhou coming?"

"No, he went to Yang City today for a lecture. It’ll be three days; he’s not flying back until the afternoon the day after tomorrow."

"Oh, I see!" Ye Lingran nodded in understanding, "Have you set a date for your wedding? It’s already March."

"It’s set." Cen Jin took a bite of olet rice and replied with a pout, "He did the planning last night, set for June 21st. My mom and his parents have already agreed."
