Upon arriving at the neighboring villa, Cen Jin looked at Shen Xiangchen, "Cousin, are you going in?"

"Let’s go! Since I ca out with you, it would be impolite not to go in together." Shen Xiangchen smiled and entered the courtyard of the neighboring villa with her.

Cen Jin closed her umbrella. Even though she knew the password, it wouldn’t be appropriate to barge in, so she rang the doorbell. After waiting for a while, no one ca to open the door. Cen Jin pouted and tilted her head to exchange a glance with Shen Xiangchen before ringing the doorbell again with a probing mind. Just as they were about to make a call, thinking no one was ho, the door suddenly opened, and Miss Yu Hui’s haggard face ca into view.

"Oh, it’s Cen Jin! Why did you co back today without calling ?" Miss Yu Hui was pleasantly surprised to see Cen Jin and then noticed Shen Xiangchen behind her, feeling very familiar: "Ah, this is... oh, you’re Xiangchen, right?"

"Yes, it’s rare Auntie rembers ." Shen Xiangchen nodded slightly, wearing a sunny smile on his face: "Auntie seems even more beautiful and youthful than over a year ago. You really know how to take care of yourself."

"Your sweet-talking mouth sounds like it’s sared with honey." Miss Yu Hui was a bit embarrassed by his words, as her pale face now had a hint of color.

"Mom, what’s wrong with you? You don’t look very well." Cen Jin had noticed that Miss Yu Hui’s complexion was not good when she opened the door, along with a hint of weakness and fatigue between her brows, and she seed to have just woken up from a nap.

Miss Yu Hui waved her hand with a smile, "No big problem, just caught a cold. My head hurt a bit today, so I slept all afternoon."

"Did you take dicine? Did you go to the hospital?" As she spoke, Cen Jin instinctively raised her hand to touch Miss Yu Hui’s forehead. The temperature was normal, luckily she wasn’t running a fever.

Seeing Cen Jin’s worried look and actions, Miss Yu Hui’s heart ward. This daughter was more caring than a son. If it were Jiang Baizhou, he would at most offer to take her to the hospital or remind her to rest and keep warm, but wouldn’t show such concern.

"I felt dizzy because I took dicine, slept all afternoon, and would have slept until dark if it weren’t for the doorbell." Miss Yu Hui smiled and then asked: "Why did you co by today? Not even a call first. Have you had dinner?"

"My cousin just returned, so I ca over. My mom asked to invite you to our place for dinner, to enjoy the crowd. Jiang Baizhou will co back later."

Miss Yu Hui nodded upon hearing this, not intending to refuse since both son and daughter-in-law would be there. She was quite happy and smilingly replied, "Alright, I’ll go upstairs to change clothes, and then I’ll be over."

"Okay, be careful, it’s slippery on rainy days. My cousin and I are on the mission to go to the supermarket at the community gate, so we won’t wait for you!" Cen Jin smiled sweetly, waved at Miss Yu Hui, and nudged Shen Xiangchen to open the umbrella and step out from under the eaves.

Shen Xiangchen, as he was leaving, politely smiled and nodded to Miss Yu Hui, then turned to look at Cen Jin after exiting the courtyard, "Speaking of which, marrying Jiang Baizhou isn’t so bad for you."

"Oh? Why do you say that?"

"At least you don’t have to worry about a bad relationship with your mother-in-law."

"True enough." Cen Jin smiled knowingly, recalling the goodness of Miss Yu Hui and Jiang Yuyang towards her from childhood, which made her feel warm inside: "By the way, cousin, you’ll be 30 next year, aren’t Aunt and Uncle urging you?"

Shen Xiangchen smiled helplessly upon hearing her, lightly flicked her forehead, "Just this morning at Aunt’s place, she asked the sa thing. They are surely urging whenever they get a chance, but you know these things can’t be rushed."

"That’s true, but you should also seize the opportunity. If you et soone you like, don’t let them slip away. Hurry and find a sister-in-law; Aunt and Uncle might be waiting to hold a grandchild!"

"Well, let them wait! I don’t even have a shadow of soone, yet they’re thinking about grandchildren." Shen Xiangchen chuckled, actually preferring to let things take their course. He didn’t know exactly what kind of girl he liked, but he believed once she appeared, her every aspect would be just what he liked!

While chatting, the duo reached the supermarket at the community gate, put their umbrellas in the storage slot. Shen Xiangchen fetched a cart and looked at Cen Jin, "Do you rember what Aunt asked you to buy?"

"Of course, I’m not senile yet; how could I forget?" Cen Jin confidently replied, almost patting her chest in assurance.

Shen Xiangchen chuckled lightly and pushed the cart following her. In just six or seven minutes, Cen Jin had gathered everything Ms. Qin requested except for fruits. Cen Jin picked several pounds of strawberries, oranges, and cherries and went to weigh them. As they were heading to checkout, they passed the snacks section, and Cen Jin’s pace noticeably slowed down. She grinned at Shen Xiangchen, her intention plain as day.

"You haven’t changed your habit of snacking, have you?" Shen Xiangchen smiled wryly, teasing her.

"Probably can’t change it even if you visit every year." Cen Jin pouted, turning to toss two bags of chips into the cart and waved at Shen Xiangchen to hurry along.

At checkout, Cen Jin had her QR code ready for scanning, but just before the cashier could scan it, Shen Xiangchen stopped her hand and extended his own phone. Cen Jin looked at him curiously, "Cousin, you should cure your habit of rushing to pay."

"Isn’t saving money for you good?"

After hearing his words, Cen Jin raised her eyebrows, acknowledging with satisfaction, "Indeed, hahaha! Then you should rush to pay more often. During your stay, I’ll make sure to cherish it by scheduling random supermarket trips and als with you. I definitely won’t waste your good intentions."

"You really are shalessly straightforward, gaining the advantage while acting innocent."

"No way." When the cashier bagged the items, Cen Jin proactively took one bag while Shen Xiangchen naturally took the bigger one. As they headed out, Cen Jin smiled and wrapped her arm around his: "How could my dashing cousin care about a little money?"

"Please don’t put such a big hat on , I can’t bear it."

"Don’t worry, your head is big enough to handle it."

Shen Xiangchen: "..."
