Cen Jin was initially stunned upon hearing this, but after recovering, she couldn’t help but laugh. Hearing her laughter, Jiang Baizhou’s eyebrows slightly twitched, and he deliberately glanced at her from the corner of his eye. His thin lips pressed into a straight line, and his handso features were shrouded in layers of gloom, exuding an icy aura.
Knowing that her own vinegar jar had been overturned again, the smile on Cen Jin’s face deepened as she explained, "We’re going out for work, and Ling Ran and Yun Xi will also be there. It won’t just be and him."
"With just the two of you, you won’t be able to work well together," Jiang Baizhou said calmly, even with so confidence, as if he had already predicted this situation and had everything under control.
"What do you an?" Cen Jin detected a hint of a different aning in his words, "If this collaboration were only between Yun Qi and , would you interfere?"
Jiang Baizhou shot a sidelong glance at her, withholding his gaze and continued to drive seriously, showing no intention of responding.
Cen Jin pursed her lips, always feeling that his thoughts were sotis unfathomably deep, and sotis unknowingly she would fall into his traps, even finding enjoynt in it, never sensing anything wrong.
"Any thoughts on the wedding dress?" After a long silence in the car, Jiang Baizhou spoke again.
Upon hearing this, Cen Jin turned her head to look at him, "I have a few ideas, but they’re not fully ford yet. I’ll think about it seriously after the Milan project. I can’t be careless, so our wedding photos might be delayed a bit. However, I do have so thoughts about your outfit. I drafted a concept a couple of days ago, but the overall effect wasn’t quite what I expected. I’ll modify it later. Also, Ling Ran gave so suggestions that I think are quite good."
"Hmm, you can think about the wedding dress. Once you’ve decided, you can show . As for the wedding planning, I’ll handle it."
"Such clear division of labor?"
"If you want to do it, you’re welco to."
"No, I trust your taste; it won’t be bad."
"Of course."
"Can’t you be a bit humble?"
"No need to be humble in front of you; humility would be dishonest."
"..."
Cen Jin was speechless, as he always had plenty of excuses to block her words.

In the week after moving into their new ho, the two were quite lovey-dovey, their emotions seemingly better than before, and Jiang Baizhou’s work hours beca increasingly punctual. He didn’t work overti, and sotis when his scheduled patients left early, he would simply leave as well, without any delay.
For several consecutive days, Lu Xize found Jiang Baizhou’s eagerness to go ho and accompany his wife unbearable. Casually, with his arms crossed, he comnted, "Are you planning to leave early again today?"
Jiang Baizhou raised his wrist to check the ti and looked at him earnestly, "It’s ti to leave."
"Did you finish drafting treatnt plans for the two patients you saw yesterday?" Lu Xize asked, visibly displeased.
"I have my own understanding of my patients; just mind your own business," Jiang Baizhou retorted disdainfully, casting a sidelong glance filled with a hint of contempt.
Lu Xize was speechless. Recently, he’d taken on a rather severe case and had been racking his brain for solutions. Yet he was quite proud today as a special idea he conceived yesterday showed so efficacy when the patient ca for psychological therapy.
"Co on, the thod I thought up seems quite effective. I’m telling you, it’s bound to have improvents after several sessions," Lu Xize said, easily detecting the sarcasm in Jiang Baizhou’s words, but he paid it no mind. After countering Jiang Baizhou’s taunt, he stepped over, placed a friendly hand on his back, and said with a smirk, "I say, since you and Cen Jin got your marriage license, we haven’t had a drink together. You’re off work so early today and I have nothing going on, so let’s grab a drink, shall we? I’ll even call Yuan Fan." He added, raising his eyebrows suggestively.
"Did we ever have a drink before getting the license?"
"..."
That was a real kick in the heart.
"Co on, that’s not fair. Let ask you, are you coming? Aren’t we bros?"
"Bros we are, but I’m not coming."
"Why not!" Lu Xize protested, glaring at him discontentedly, wondering why it was so difficult to find soone to have a drink with. It was still early; he’d be bored going ho alone.
"Going ho to the wife," Jiang Baizhou lifted his eyebrows, a look of self-satisfaction and smugness flashing in his deep eyes. He raised his head in a ’you can’t compare to ’ manner, and sneered lightly, "I understand that you, a single dog without even a girlfriend, simply can’t grasp my current feelings." After speaking, he leisurely patted off his suit jacket, appearance relaxed.
Lu Xize was left speechless, staring at him for several seconds before withdrawing his hand from Jiang Baizhou’s shoulder. He directly rolled up his sleeves and stepped back, "Old Jiang, just say no more, co on then! Let’s have it out! Today it’s either you or , a fight to the finish."
"Childish," Jiang Baizhou dismissed him with a sidelong glance of disdain and continued to walk away, hands tucked nonchalantly into his pants pockets as he strolled downstairs.
Watching Jiang Baizhou’s retreating figure, Lu Xize felt frustrated. Turning his head accidentally, he saw his assistant Zou Yilin behind him, covering her mouth to stifle laughter. Frowning, he asked coldly, "What’s so funny? Have you finished what I tasked you with? Thinking about overti today? Do you not want your bonus this month?"
"No... no," Zou Yilin quickly stifled her laughter and waved her hand, "I’ll get right on it, and it’ll be done soon."
"Wait a mont." As she prepared to leave with the docunts, Lu Xize stopped her.
"What’s up, Doctor Lu? Is there anything else?" Zou Yilin turned back to face him, offering a sheepish smile.
"Organize all the information on Wang Yan’s patient and email it to ," Lu Xize thought for a mont but decided against saying what he initially intended, as if fearing to protest too much, and switched the topic back to work.
"Okay, I’ll do it. Can I send it by eight?"
"Hmm."
"Then I’ll get busy?"
"Hmm," Lu Xize answered absentmindedly, and after Zou Yilin went downstairs, Lu Xize’s peripheral vision shifted towards Jiang Baizhou’s office. He pulled out his phone from his pocket, opened WeChat, went to his chat with Cen Jin, and started composing his complaint.
