Originally, after Cen Jin and Jiang Baizhou registered their marriage, it was natural for these things to happen, but since the house wasn’t renovated yet, both of them stayed with their own parents, which was sowhat inconvenient.

Over these past couple of weeks, Jiang Baizhou regretted countless tis about this; if he had known earlier, he would have had the house ready sooner, and they wouldn’t be in a situation where he had the beauty by his side but couldn’t hold her in his arms to sleep. Could he not be frustrated?

But in the end, Cen Jin couldn’t resist his persistence, and reluctantly chose to stay overnight, making Jiang Baizhou promise multiple tis not to overstep the boundaries, to which he agreed one by one.

First, hold the beauty in his arms, there’s no rush for other things; everything can be taken slowly. Once the house is renovated, it won’t be too late; after all, she’s his for life and cannot escape.

The next day, the golden rays of the morning sun stread into the room through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting beams of light on the white ceiling. Cen Jin snuggled in Jiang Baizhou’s arms, slightly struggled, then opened her eyes to see a handso and familiar face that made her pause for a mont, then she let a contented smile curve on her lips.

It seems like such mornings are not bad, waking up every day to see him, lying in his embrace, just thinking about it made her feel happy and sweet.

"Awake?" Noticing the person in his arms moving, Jiang Baizhou slightly adjusted his body, not opening his eyes, his low voice tinged with hoarseness.

"Mm, I’m awake," Cen Jin replied with a sweet smile.

"What ti is it?"

"Let check." With that, Cen Jin turned over to look at the black clock on the wall: "Seven ten."

"It’s still early, let’s sleep a bit longer." With that, he turned his body, pulling her into his arms again, holding tight, burying his head in her neck.

"It’s not early, I have to get up. I need to go back to change clothes, and I haven’t told my mom I didn’t co back yesterday. I have to go back now, otherwise, my mom will worry. Co on, remove your claws." Seeing that he wanted to go back to sleep, Cen Jin petulantly slapped away his hand, then sat up from his embrace, pulled back the thin quilt, got out of bed, and tidied her clothes.

With his arms empty, Jiang Baizhou finally opened his eyes, looked at her silhouette bathed in golden light, pursed his lips, but couldn’t say anything.

"I’m going now, see you at eight-thirty later." Cen Jin picked up her bag and phone, said to him without waiting for his reply, and directly walked out of his room.

Jiang Baizhou didn’t stop her, just the faint scent unique to her lingered at the tip of his nose, making him reminisce like an addiction; this kind of morning he wanted to keep having, this sense of urgency was unprecedented and especially intense.

After returning ho, Cen Jin didn’t see Ms. Qin in the living room or kitchen, so she ran upstairs dejectedly, tiptoed back to her room, found a set of clothes, and went to the bathroom for a shower.

Coming out of the bathroom after the shower, she happened to bump into Ms. Qin coming out of the bedroom. The two t eyes, Cen Jin was stunned for a mont, and inexplicably felt guilty, then awkwardly smiled and greeted, "Morning, Mom."

"Mm, morning." Ms. Qin nodded in response, looking at her, "Why shower so early in the morning?"

"Uh... I did so yoga in the room just now, broke a sweat, so I showered to feel more comfortable." Maybe because of lying, Cen Jin felt particularly unsure now, not even having the courage to look Ms. Qin in the eye, she quickly changed the topic with a smile, "Mom, when did you co back yesterday?"

"I ca back late yesterday, you were already asleep, so I didn’t call you." Ms. Qin said while walking downstairs, "Hurry and dry your hair, change, and co down. I’ll go make breakfast first."

"Um... okay..." Cen Jin dragged out her voice softly, feeling even more guilty inside.

She hadn’t returned at all yesterday.

Presumably, Ms. Qin saw her room’s lights were off and thought she was asleep, so didn’t think deeply about it.

Thinking of this, Cen Jin couldn’t help but curse Jiang Baizhou.

While blow-drying her hair, Cen Jin began to contemplate whether to tell Ms. Qin imdiately or wait until Saturday to tell her.

After drying her hair, she put on a face mask. After all, she only rinsed her face before sleeping yesterday, didn’t take off the makeup thoroughly, so she needed to put on a mask to moisturize, after washing her face and changing clothes, she went downstairs, breakfast had already been prepared by Ms. Qin, but there was no sign of her.

She called out twice, but there was no response, so Cen Jin knew Ms. Qin must have gone out.

Sighing helplessly, she went over, pulled out a chair, sat down, picked up the milk, and took a sip. She indeed wanted to tell Ms. Qin about the marriage certificate, but Ms. Qin didn’t give her a chance.

Looks like she’ll have to tell them together this Saturday.

In early October, although the sunshine was still bright, the weather was getting cooler morning and night. The renovation progress of the house Jiang Baizhou bought was more than halfway through. Previously, both Jiang Baizhou and Cen Jin took ti to check it out and were very satisfied with the results. According to Luo Heng’s guarantee, it would take less than half a month for everything to be done, including furniture and all items. By then, they could directly move in with just their bags.

Jiang Baizhou felt very pleased and happy listening to this. At ho, he would circle the calendar daily, counting how many days were left before he could move in and sleep with his wife.

Jiang Baizhou had quite a bit of leisure, being an associate professor, he didn’t have many classes, only two to four classes a week, and not many appointnts in the clinic either, so he often went to Sijin District to check on the renovation progress in the afternoons, helping with what he could. After all, this is his future ho with Cen Jin, doing things with his own hands had a different aning.

These days, Cen Jin beca particularly busy because the collaborative major project with the Yun Group was entering the final modification stage, plus the big order in her studio was nearing its deadline.

"Thank you both for all the hard work, running back and forth these days." After finalizing decisions and plans coming out of the conference room, everyone knew the project was nearing completion, so they were all relieved. Back in the office, Yun Qi showed a gentle smile and softly said to Cen Jin and Ye Lingran.

"But to make Arlene satisfied with the initial trial result, all our efforts for these days were worth it. Now we just need to wait for those few missing materials to arrive, and once the last few designs are fully customized, it’ll be quick." Cen Jin put down her folder and said with a smile.

"Isn’t that right, it exhausted us. We’ve handled big projects before but never this tiring." Yun Xi sighed faintly from the side, directly collapsing on the sofa, looking thoroughly exhausted.

"Cen Jin is right, it’s worth it." Ye Lingran gracefully sat down, placing the folder down gently, smiled lightly in agreent.
