At 12:13, Ms. Qin returned ho, looked at the dishes she had bought and the cooked al, nodded in satisfaction, and rarely offered Cen Jin a look of approval. Cen Jin smiled, feeling a bit unworthy of Ms. Qin’s sudden praise, and was about to find an excuse to go upstairs when Ms. Qin directly called her over, dragging her into the kitchen to help.
Under Ms. Qin’s authority, Cen Jin reluctantly conceded, but the help she could provide was limited to washing vegetables and handing things over. Ms. Qin couldn’t even bear to watch her cut vegetables, correcting and demonstrating several tis, all the while mumbling, "What will you do if you get married? You can’t do anything, and you’ll embarrass when you join your in-laws."
After hearing this, Cen Jin seed to understand Ms. Qin’s intention behind ordering her to do housework these days, and her little face imdiately looked utterly hopeless.
However, the most housework she had done at ho since childhood was sweeping and mopping the floor and washing dishes. As for laundry, she’d throw her clothes into the laundry basket after showering. Sotis she was so busy going out early and coming back late that she didn’t have ti. On weekends, she liked to sleep in, and every ti she got up, Ms. Qin had already hung the clothes out to dry, leaving her no chance to do it herself.
During dinner, Cen Jin deliberately gave Ms. Qin a piece of chicken, smiling as she said, "Ms. Qin, you’ve worked hard, have so more."
Ms. Qin looked at the chicken in her bowl, laughed, and mockingly glanced at her: "Don’t give that, did you skip breakfast?"
"Uh... hehe." Cen Jin laughed sheepishly, picked up her bowl and took a bite of rice. She had slept until ten, and after washing up, she had been cleaning. After finishing a call with Jiang Baizhou, she went out to buy groceries. Where would she have ti for breakfast?

Ms. Qin found so truth in her words and didn’t press further, changing the topic to, "Is Bai Zhou working today?"
"Yes, both the school and clinic seem to be quite busy. He called this morning, saying he’d just co out of a eting." Cen Jin was indeed hungry, responding casually to Ms. Qin’s words while picking up food and eating without delay.
"Are you going out to eat with him tonight or staying in?"
"Tonight, Feici invited and Shi Shu to a gathering at her place."
"Alright." Ms. Qin replied with slight reluctance, "Still, you should pay more attention to Bai Zhou, you know he’s your boyfriend now, right?"
"I know!" Cen Jin nodded helplessly, "Why do I feel like you’re more invested in my romance than I am, Mom?"
Ms. Qin gave her a sidelong glance, "How can I not be? It’s hard enough for you to have a boyfriend, and it’s Bai Zhou at that. Naturally, I hope you two will do well! Luckily, Bai Zhou doesn’t mind that you can’t do anything. Otherwise, I’d think you’d have lost your chance!"
Cen Jin choked on her food, forcefully swallowed it, and gave Ms. Qin a hopeless look: "Mom, I’m your biological daughter."
"Of course, I know that. Now hurry up and eat your al, wash the dishes afterward. I’m going upstairs to lie down for a while."
